What is wrong with a conservative curriculum?
Recently a mailer was sent out by the Conservative Curriculum Committee, with a twofold message.
One was a commitment, or contract, with the public to clean up the failed Public School System that we currently have in Beaufort County. The other was to raise funds for conservative school board candidates.
Even if you disagree with the “Bedside Manner” in which it is presented, the facts are there.
· 8 of Beaufort County Schools rate a D (40) by the DPI (Department of Public Instruction).
· 30% of children in Beaufort County are at reading and math levels.
· The superintendent suggests that many of our children are 2 to 3 years behind after covid.
· On a national basis, parents are trying to get DEI and CRT (Critical Race Theory) and Gender proselyting out of our schools.
· Discipline is bad enough that some teachers have left because of lack thereof.
· The state and federal government has created tons of money to help the underserved children in our schools. We hear nothing about this at any board meeting.
· Where are our mental health initiatives and help for those with dyslexia and learning disabilities?
· The public would like to be involved in helping these children who will become dropouts on a one-to-one basis, but the school board discourages the public from attending or knowing what is going on.
IE. Ropes to hold public so far away from the board that it is difficult to hear. A sound system that is inadequately used to intentionally subdue sound.
Principles and teachers seated up front to occupy seating to discourage the public. Meetings are held at 5:00-5:30 to make it difficult for working parents to get there in time to attend.
All of this and a longer list goes back to management, not inadequate teachers. You will find the root cause with your Superintendent, DPE and the teachers union along with a weak school board.
The School Board is responsible for setting the Curriculum not the State. Do not be misled by that propaganda that State dictates curriculum for all North Carolins Schools.
You can start by changing your weak school board who can then change management.
As the National News is suggesting, “Get involved”. Find out what is really happening to your child. Why are they behind? How can they be helped? As we find in the Old Testaments Proverbs, “Where there is no vision, the people perish”. With the tools that we have today, no child should be left behind.

It is a Marxist thing when you try to rewrite history like in the "1619 Project" to say everthing that ever happened in America is connected to slavery. Even the woman who put together the 1619 Project has admitted that it is NOT history.

Its a white thing when events that occurred to non-white people are never taught. That's how. So simple even a patriot can understand but often to cowardly to try.

Stan: You've demonstrated just how difficult it is to have constructive conversation with the extreme left. In most cases its actually impossible. How do you reason with someone with the position that student success is a 'white' thing? What understanding can you come to with people that favor inclusion of all EXCEPT for the people not in their echo chamber that have to be EXCLUDED, canceled and discredited as horrible things they are not! There can be no meeting of the minds in that scenario. That's the game they play - division. Its division and disruption, not making things better.

The extreme left has lost its mind with their brains saturated in Marxism. Eight of thirteen Beaufort County Schools rate a D by the DPI, and 70 percent of the children in Beaufort County are not at reading and math levels.
The divisive racist left-wing loons interpret those facts as a white man's fairy tale. Wow. Racism comes in lots of flavors, and they all taste bad. What should we call the lie that those facts are not true? How about Sodom and Gomorrah. Successful students are good for everybody. Dividing our community up into hostile camps is not good for anybody. |

Bolshevik BOb is simply pushing the Marxist agenda which is to divide society as many ways as they can to faacilitate leftist control. Marx himself thought that a division on economic status would be enough for the far left to triumph. It was Herbert Marcuse, who was chief ideologue of the German Communist Party in the Weimar Republic who went beyond that in what he called "Critical Thoery" to create as many divisions in society as possible. One branch of that devised by Marxist law professor in America is Critical Race Theory, which is all about dividing America on race. Bolshevik Bob is all about pushing that division in America and in doing so he is pushing the Marxist agenda. Bolshevik Bob is the only racist I have noted posting here. He is preenting the anti-white perspective.
What we need to do is follow Dr. Martin Luther King's admonition that people should be "judged by the content of their character, not eh color of their skin." |
