Dr. Inzerillo is a board certified medical oncologist who has been practicing in eastern North Carolina for the past 18 years. He offers his patients participation in state of the art clinical trials when they are eligible. He has been working on meditation and yoga techniques for the past 14 years. He is the author of Passion Beyond Pain: A Mindful Approach to Living a Life of Balance, published by Humanics. (Available at your local book store by request, Amazon.com, and also Google Books in e-book form).

In addition to the above Dr. Inzerillo is a speaker for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company. Topics he speaks on include: Dealing with Grief and Loss, Survivorship, Difficult Discussions at the End of Life, and Dealing with the Difficult Patient.

Dr. Inzerillo notes that his second book, Pictures of Health, will be published in the spring of 2012. Chapters include: The Genuine Smile, How to Study Compassion, and Figuring Out Who is in Charge, just to name a few.

In addition to his oncology work, writing, and his speaking engagements, he enjoys spending time with his wife of twenty years, Treva, and his two children John and Joel.

I am in the helping profession. As a doc, I get to help people everyday. Not only do I help them understand their illness, but I hope I help them successfully deal with the worst illness known to humankind- as they used to say in the 1960's- the big "C".
