I think we would do better to take our time and look at all the options in greater detail before rushing head long into an option doomed to failure.

Today was a "red letter day" in North Carolina. The N. C. Senate passed S 129, a bill entitled "Limit State Facilities Finance Act." The vote was 47 for and 1 against. It was co-sponsored by Bill Cook, along with 5 other senators.

A proposed Good Samaritan law - that would give someone who calls 911 for help for someone who had overdosed on drugs limited immunity from prosecution - cleared the Senate on Tuesday. It now goes to the House.
