In today's world of politics the common citizen is of no value to politicians except at election time. I have seen the dismissal of incredibly important citizen issues by politicians and governmental officials at every level of government.

It was all over before 8:00 pm at the Beaufort County Board of Election. With an anemically low turnout, and the new and improved equipment for processing votes, the Beaufort County Board of Elections finished up in time where one could still make their supper date, get home and watch prime time.
