Could be a on again off again rain event this weekend. Sub-tropical Storm Ana is still moving around a little bit and some of the models are now suggesting a more easterly track towards us instead of Raleigh.

Could be a on again off again rain event this weekend. Sub-tropical Storm Ana is still moving around a little bit and some of the models are now suggesting a more easterly track towards us instead of Raleigh.
 
Tropical Storm Ana is scheduled to come ashore in South Carolina, under the current track. The track and intensity are still showing some variability, but at the present time the remaining low pressure system will pass near Beaufort County on Monday.

I have enclosed the 8:00am update for today. This storm is going to keep us guessing as to her track and impact location for at least another twenty-four to forty-eight hours.

Hurricane Sandy is approaching the North Carolina Coast, but at present, as per the storm track forecast by the National Hurricane Center, it appears that it will skirt our coast and make Landfall near the Delaware Bay.

This could be good news for the Beaufort County / Pitt County / Craven County region. Only hours earlier the storm's track would have put the eye passing just east of Belhaven in eastern Beaufort County, North Carolina .
