OMG! Did I read Commissioner Deatherage's comment correctly?

He indicates that "one day" he will stand up and fight for us. One day, he will reveal the corruption he knows to exist... sigh... show some courage! Be that single grain of sand that starts a landslide.

This "one day" shit is why corruption continues.

If free speech really existed, Commissioner Deatherage wouldn't be afraid to reveal what he knows, THIS day.

Be more like Hood, instead of just dittoing him.

Lazy elected ppl give up their thinking caps 2 the hired staff.
The staff love it, because they know they have th power.

A school board member told me many yrs ago, that he was busy, he had a family, a job, and things to do, and so that is why "we" depend on the staff for these things.

The Washington City Council totally depends on t CityManager who OWNs all of th staff. Staff need 2please him 2keep th job. Test it urself...go ask a council member anything, & he will tell u he will need to ask th citymanager.

EVERY single motion or bill approval, is scripted by t citymanager 4 a council member 2read. It sounds so professional until u realize they were handed a pre written script 2 read. I doubt that many of them digest what they r even reading...4 example what loophole is there 2 unknowingly approve.

Govt ppl r slack & self-serving. If they dont start out that way, they easily turn that way. They think WeThePpl r just an irritant 2b managered.

VOTE Hood! Hood protects taxpayers!

IF u want 2preserve th Constitution, Kamala must not b allowed 2b Prez. She's not qualified per th Constitution as she's not a NaturalBornCitizen. She was born a dual citizen, so she certainly isnt a NaturalAmerican. A NaturalAmericanCitiz en is 1 who, when born, can be none other than an American citizen. How can this be? It is because, when born here, ones parents were also USA citizens. This baby can be none other. No other nation can claim that person. It is a pure American. The only place in govt that requires a "pure" American is the Presidency.

If this were not the rule then, Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán could b t father of a future Prez, since he has several children born in t USA. Our Founders feared the King of England becoming the father of a future Prez.

In th Constitution, it states a Senator must b a citizen, but when it mentions th Presidency it states, 1 must b a NBC.

The Founders wrote an exception 4those alive at t Founding.
Kamala,Cruz,Vivek,Haley,Rubio r not NBC.

I witnessed this 1st hand abt 30 yrs ago at an organizational meeting 4 school parents to do volunteer wk 4 high school.
We each chose our favorite subject & then regrouped to talk it over. Lo and Behold...an "elite" shows up and announces that she is our Chairman. I say WAIT... dont we pick our own chairman? She said, I dont know... I was told to come 2 this table 2b th Chairman.
So as I sd: The local elites & Governing Bodies dont trust WeThePpl, 2 do th right thing. We cant b trusted 2 do THEIR AGENDA. It really is time to stop being a farm grazer

All Hood is doing is asking the commissioners to do their diligent duty, stop being lazy, and not just sit there as rubber stamps for other agencies. In other words, put in an effort! THINK! Yes, thinking is hard, but that is what you signed up for.
Put in a effort to protect the citizen's money! Plan ahead so that the unforeseen doesnt take you by surprise. STOP embarrassing yourselves by showing your behinds!

Would someone move Ed Booth to the other side of the room, I am tired of seeing him rolling his eyes and laughing broadly whenever Hood talks.

Beaufort Couty can be great again, when the commissioners start loving the citizens, more than the hate Hood.

AND... school board members lets staff do their thinking... I was told, "we have a job, family and a life outside here, that why we have staff."

I would bet that if we cut everyone in the school system's salary by 65%, the reading scores would go up and fast!

Its ok to be compassionate but its not the role of the Govt to be
compassionate. Everyone in Govt swears an oath to protect the Constitution. The Constitution provides for equality of treatment...not equity of treatment. NOT the picking of winners and losers by said Govt.

Remember... if we all have equal rights, then you must also remember that "your rights END where my nose begins." Otherwise you as a Govt, are showing favoritism. When a Govt shows one person a favor, then that Govt (Washington,NC) is stepping on the toes of a different
citizen. (corruption)
Let's leave it to charities and individuals to be the compassionate ones, to help those in needs.

I got big news for you.
Our NC law enforcement officers do NOT enforce the law regarding illegals, driving without a license either. Right here in Beaufort County, an illegal told me he was stopped by officers. He didnt have a driver's license...and they let him go without any citation. There are people in the area that license and insure the vehicle, but let the illegals, without a drivers license operate that vehicle.
True story.

Its laughable to think tht the Govt can control the climate. Yes they can manipulate weather, but in regards to the climate, they can never know if the scams they are perpetrating might actually be doing the reverse of wht they desire, and might actually bring about an unintended disaster. I think there are several examples of these disasters. (burning batteries) and (whales/birds & wind farms).
I think the simple solution is to work to prevent waste.
The most offensive thing to me is that producers are allowed to make and sell products that are NOT even intended to last long term. So all those things go in the trash, and the energy used to create the stuff was also wasted. As it is said: Waste not, want not.
Go lobby govt to demand products that make you glad you bought it. But dont hold you breath on making them hear you.
What if we all just stop buying stuff. You really dont need all those things.
Again... just my 2 cents worth.
