Commented on Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson’s Statement on the Mountain Valley Pipeline ExpansionEven with conservative energy experts briefing him about its huge damage to North Carolina, Mark Robinson sat quiet when Phil Berger and Tim Moore rammed North Carolina's radical Green New Deal down our throats. He apparently cared more for pleasing Berger than in standing up for our citizens against our grasping utility monopoly Duke Energy and the wind and solar grifters. If Robinson will not stand for us on something as clear cut as that, my choice for governor is the dependable conservative State Treasurer Dale Folwell, who is not afraid to standing up to the RINO legislative power brokers.
Also, he was MIA this year on the Obamacare Medicaic expansion, gambling, and marijuana.

The important thing is NOT to be dependent on China for our energy, which we are if we use mainly wind and solar, because they are the ones who make most of the equipment and even beyond that provide many of the raw materials to make that equipment. It is more dangerous than being dependent on the Middle East.

Things we buy in Walmart do not involve the security of our energy grid. While the possibility of China installing things we do not know about may indeed be a risk, I am more concerned about making ourselves dependent on China for our energy. Wind and solar makes us dependent on China for our energy more than oil ever did on the Middle East, and that is dangerous when China is our major geo-political adversary. It is not just the finished products of the wind turbines and solar panels, but many of the raw materials necessary for them. China has already started playing games with some of those raw materials. We have our own coal, oil, and gas, and we do not depend on China for nuclear power raw materials or equipment.

Commented on Southern Africa Freezing"Rising sea levels" has been one of the climate alarmist myths that just doesn't hold water. For a time the UN used to use the South Pacific islands nations of Tuvalu and Kiribati as poster boys for "rising sea level" saying they would be the first countries consumed by the sea. However, a funny thing happened. A university in Australia decided to measure how fast the islands were disappearing, using recon maps from World War II and comparing them to aeriel photographs from today. When they did the comparision, they found that most of the islands were actually growing not shrinking, and at least they had the honesty to publish their findings, even though they put egg on the face of the climate alarmists and the UN.
With all the climate alarmist oracles like Al Gore and Barack Obama buying multi-million dollar seafrong mansions, it is clear that even they do not really believe the hogwash about rising sea levels. After all, actions speak louder than words, as the old saying goes. Heck if we believed some of Al Gore's early rantings, Florida would not be here today. Then, of course, there are the documented warm periods of the past, like the multi-century Medieval Warm Period, when it was warmer than today. None of the low lying port cities of that era got flooded by "rising sea levels". Thats a fact! Or the granddaddy of all warm periods, the Holocene Maximum, which was much warmer than today and lasted three thousand years. It corresponded with the Bronze Age of human development, when ancient Greek culture thrived. We know where the coastal cities of ancient Greece were located, and again, there was clearly no "rising sea level" inundating them. The facts do not fit your whack-a-doodle theory.

True pollution from burning fossil fuels is negligable in the western world thanks to scrubbers on smokestacks, but you climate crazies want to call CO2 (a necessary nutrient for plants), "pollutions" which it is not. Even there, the "carbon footprint" of a wind turbine is massive. stopthesethings.com
Then there are all the trees cut down to build the land intensive wind and solar farms. Asked on an FOI request, Scottish Forestry, the official government agency, calculated that 13.1 million trees had been cut down just on government land in Scotland to build wind and solar farms. They did not keep records on private land. That is a lot of trees that are no longer taking in CO2 in photosynthesis and releasing oxygem. And the same thing is happening in all countries that jump on the wind / solar crazy train.

Wind turbines also contain serious carcenogins, primarily in the fluids in their gear boxes. These can be released when the wind turbine leaks or catches fire, as many of them. do.
Those living near solar farms should have their land tested. There might be a big payday from solar farm owners and operators.

You want us to put our heads in the sand over what the globalists are doing to our elections. True patriots will not. Best elections MONEY CAN BUY, that is, like the crooked money of Zuckerburg and Soros. Then there are the political machines like Tamany Hall in New York back in the day or the Mayor Daley operation in Chicago that likely stole the presidency for the Democrats in 1960. Or the Sonny Boy Joyner machine or the Ponder machine or the DCNA in North Carolina, or the illegal ballot harvesting in multiple counties of southeastern NC that still goes on. Or you could look at LBJ's first election to the US Senate, when a county run by his allies held their count out to the end, giving Johnson enough votes for a narrow come from behind victory. The odd thing was that at the end of the poll books it showed that hundreds of voters were marked as having voted in exact alphabetical order.

Slavery and the green agenda? Surely you do not want to go THERE, because they are joined at the hip. Not ancient history slavery, but current modern day slavery. The supply chain for wind turbines, solar panels, and EV components is dominated by China. Many of them are made in Chinese slave labor camps by their oppressed Uyghur minority. So if you promote wind energy, solar energy, or electric vehicles, you are promoting slavery. Ask a Uyghur!

This is climate alarmism run amuck, and very dangerous to plants and animals on Earth. If the predictions of many astronomers are correct, the Earth is about to enter a period of low solar activity, which will naturally cool temperatures. The Earth's most recent cold period, which climatologists call the Little Ice Age from the 15th to 19th centuries corresponds exactly to what astronomers refer to as the Maunder Minimum, a period of very low solar activity. When solar activity perked up in the 19th century, we have seen the current warming period.
Reducing sunlight will have the effect of stiffling plant growth, and therefore food production. These idiots are playing with fire.

Hydro electricity from dams is usually lumped in as "renewable" but is a cheap and reliable conventional source of power, unlike expensive and unreliable wind and wolar.
Even leftwing filmmaker Michael Moore gets it on the huge problems with wind and solar and biomass energy. He is certainly no conservative, but he has put out a documentary entitled "Planet of the Humans" that explains why wind, solar, and biomass are bad for the environment and bad for electric ratepayers. I know you would not even consider listening to scientists on why the global warming theory makes no sense, but will you watch a film from the top leftwing filmmaker in America on why wind, solar, and biomass are bad for us? watchdocumentaries.com One other "renewable" source of energy besides hydro that is reliable and cheap is geothermal, which countries like Kenya and St. Kitts and Nevis are now developing.

Wind and solar are in a class by themselves on federal subsidies, a massive amount of money. There is no way they could stand on their own two feet competing with more efficient means of energy production. What the left calls "subsidies" for other power sources are mainly just normal tax code provisions that apply to expenses of all businesses. With wind and solar, however, it is massive direct payments to the grifters who build it. Indeed, those grifters often build a solar or wind facility, pocket the subsidies, and then sell the solar or wind facility for peanuts because they have gotten their profit from the government subsidy.

Wind turbines, especially for offshore wind, are also highly vulnerable to hurricanes, and Roy Cooper is bound and determined to line our coast with these whale-killing eyesores. Wind turbines are also very fickle on generating electricity. For multiple days this month, a heat dome stretching from Texas to the Canadian praries has meant little wind and almost zero wind energy production across a very wide area and at a time that there is high demand for electricity. The same thing happened in months long "wind droughts in Europe that caused a collapse in electricity production by wind turbines over a prolonged period. Both wind and solar are vulnerable, expensive, and unreliable.

Big Bob - The answer to your question is simple. Sweden is a member of the EU and subject to its coersive Green Deal. Of course, that hopefully may change, as Sweden's second largest party, the Sweden Democrats, on which the currect government depends, has called for examation of how to exit the EU, like the UK did. Neighboring Norway had the good sense to never join. It was one of the few countries where the government gave the citizens a choice and they voted NO on the EU years ago. Commented on Explaining the opposing votes for lowering taxesThe problem is that we have a liberal "tax and spend" county manager, and a pathetic yes man county commission chairman, Frankie Waters who eats out of his hand, coupled with two Democrats who are also tax and spend lefties. I would have thought that Randy Walker and John Rebholz were smarter than to fall in with Waters, but apparently not.
If you look at Frankie Waters history, he was the former chairman of the old Tri-County Telephone who ran it into the ground, where it had to be sold off to an outfit from the western part of the state. Having our county finances controlled by a leftist career bureaucrat, Alligood, and a financial failure like Waters is a recipe for disaster. Career bureaucrat Jerry Langley is the third major force in running county govenrment, and he is an ideological tax and spender, very much to the left.
