What is really evil is the gain-of-function research on viruses, especially when conducted in China. Those who approved those things should be indicted.

SHe is just another of the political hack Obama and Biden jduges who are Democrat activists or donors and abuse their judgeships to play blatant politics. Their abuse of power for political purposes is the reasons a huge number of Americans no longer trust their couts.

The EPA grift and the USAID grift are examples of the slush funds operated by the Deep State that are bankrupting this country to fund the far left.

This is really infuriating, a taxpayer funded radical leftwing group holding seminars on thwarting ICE in deporting illegal aliens. Why are our tax dollars going to these anti-American groups?

What Beaufort County has is 1) a domineering superintendant trying to build a resume for his next job around school consolidation here with no concern about the impact on people here, and 2) and out of touch and totally superintendant-controlled school board majority.

Gary, there is a new "sheriff in town" in the State Auditor's office. You might want to renew your complaint there.

I wish those two conservatives had held firm. I understand that Cheeseman was putting out the word that he would move teachers from schools in their district and then blame them if they did not go along. Cheeseman plays dirty pool, as do those who associate with him.

What we need is a school board majority that is not in Cheeseman's hip pocket, but as long as a majority are, our school system is in a mess,

Austin Garrison did absolutely nothing in the fight to save Snowden but now wants to be an armchair quarterback. If he really cared about Snowden, why did he do nothing to work to save it? Garrison is just playing politics in the most deceitful way.

Charles Hickman, on the other hand, engaged in the fight. He made multiple visits to Snowden to get the facts first hand, the only school board member to do so. He participated in community meetings on saving the school. He spoke out for Snowden at multiple school board meetings. When it looked like a shortage of teachers there could give Cheeseman an opening to close the school, Hickman even volunteered to renew his teaching license, come out of retirement and teach there himself to prevent closure.

Charles Hickman has fought for Snowden. Austin Garrison has been Missing in Action except for running his mouth after the fact without knowing what he was talking about.

Austin Garrison was defeated less than a week ago for second vice chairman of the Beaufort County Republican Party. He seems to be grasping at straws to try to keep himself relevent. What else will he run for after he loses this one, too?

The title search problem is really an out-of-town attorney problem. Normally, in a government development project of this size, government attorneys ride herd on these things, including title searches. However, with an out of town attorney, two hours away each direction, it appears that the central office staff tried to play attorney and substitute for a real attorney, and this fiasco on the four acres is the result. It took $250,000 that could have been used for other things out of the school budget as well as setting county taxpayers back another $250,000 out of the county budget.

Practicing law without a license is a criminal offense in North Carolina, and screwups by unlicensed persons like this is the reason why. Maybe the school system is stonewalling because someone may have some criminal liability in this disaster. Those four commissioners are in full coverup mode. If there had been a legiitimate professional title search done in a timely manner, they would have no reason not to provide it. The fact that they are stonewalling speaks volumes by itself.

Most school boards have local attorneys engaged as their school board attorney. In Beaufort County's case, the superintendant convinced them to hire someone who is part of the state education establishment. He may see that as protection for him over public demands on curriculum, but it has screwed the school board, the county, and the tazpayers on the bumgling of this school project. This boondoggle ought to wake up a majority of the school board to the fact that we need someone local as our school board attorney.

Superintendants are always looking at that next bigger better paying job in another district and they are allergic to having anything conservative on their resume or anything that rocks the boat with the education establishment in Raleigh. They do not mind a totally "woke" curriculum but do nto want one that is traditional or conservative. Cheeseman is the usual breed of cat one gets with a superintendant but even more of a control freak than usual.

What is appalling is that we have so many weak school board members who are content to be led around by the nose by a liberal superintendant. Some of them can talk the talk but then absolutely refuse to walk the walk. This is absoolutely sickening. These weak kneed politicians are just pathetic. We need "woke" out of our schools and they just twiddle their thumbs. We do NOT need school board members who are yes-men to a liberal superintendant and grovel at his feet. We need school board members who will stand up and be counted for bringing in a proper curriculum.

Stan, the Texas State House of Representatives had a similar arrangement for a number of years. The Speaker was a more liberal Republican and he formed a coalition of Democrats and less conservative Republicans to hold power because he would have lost if he sought the backing of the Republican caucus. He went too far when he crossed Governor Abbot on one of the governor's pet issues, univsersal school choice and blocked the governor's bill in the House. Governor Abbot responded by recruiting and endorsing primary challengers to the Speaker and his allies. The governor's candidate beat most of the Speaker's allies in the primaries and now the Texas state House has a new Speaker who is a solid conservative elected solely by Repbulican legislators and just passed the governor's universal school choice bill.

This arrogance is all about control. We have a school superintendant who is a control freak. The board chairman is also a joke. T.W. Allen is a pathetic figurehead who is nothing but Cheeseman's poodle. When Cheeseman says "jump", Allen asks "how high?" What a joke.

This is a prime example of the utter hypocrisy of the climate alarmists. Trees take in CO2 and give off Oxygen. It is part of a pattern however. Sections of the Amazon, called the "lungs of the planet" are being clearcut by the Climate Industrial Complex for balsa wood for wind turbine blades. In Europe, ancient forests are being clear cut to put up wind turbines and solar farms. Climate alarmists are fake environmentalists.

What is even more significant is that the Democrats pumped him up to do that for their own domestic political purposes. They used Zelensky to try to hurt Trump, but who they really hurt was the Ukrainian people. The Democrats don't care about anything but political gamasmanship.

As Mollie Hemmingway points out, Zelinsky was following the advice of Team Obama to the letter in his White House meeting with Trump. They were using Zelinsky and Ukraine to try to play American politics. Zelinsky is a fool to allow himself to be used like that and he needs to resign for the good of everyone. x.com

Zelinsky should remember that when Russia invaded Crimea and the DOnbass, Obama only sent non-lethal aid like radios and tents. It was Trump in his first term that started sending Ukraine weapons to defend itself.

What is needed is military intervention to take out the cartel drug factories, which can be done from the air. We also ought to drone the cartel leaders with Hellfire missiles like we drone ISIS and other jihadist leaders.

Journalism in the era of Wells was a very different thing than today. In those days, they were more like to do real journalism than today when so many in the media are propagandists rather than real journalists. Unfortunately today, so many media workers are into what they call "advocacy journalism" which is really nothing but pure propaganda. A real journalist tries to tell both sides, something their modern bretheren usually do not, at least in the US MSM. In some foreign countries, real journalism does seem to survive.

Parker's answers are NOT something that should be relied upon. During the controversy over the SAVAS social studies curriculum, Parker incorrectly told the School Board that Savas was "the only curriculum approved by NCDPI". That turned out to be false. Then on the Bridges math curriculum controversy, Parker told the School Board that Bridges "was not Common Core math". At a later meeting when easily available research showed that it WAS Common Core, he had to reverse himself.

The question is whether Parker is just that poorly informed or whether he is deliberately giving answers he knows to be false, possibly at the behest of his boss. Either way this history means anything he says should simply not be trusted.

Jim Crow was YOUR racist policy, Bigot Bob, not mine. It was YOUR Democrats who passed it. ALL Republicans and Populists in the legislature at the time voted AGAINST it. Democrats play the race card differently over the years but they stick to the race card. First it is the black guy they go after, then pivot to going after the white guy. Republicans, on the other hand, believe in treating all equally, not giving racial preferences.

Cleaning up big government waste, fraud, abuse, and grift that is strangling our economy is hardly "ransacking the country". Soros is a lifelong totalitarian from being a Nazi collaborator in his native Hungary in World War II to his globalist totalitarian antics today. Multiple world leaders have called him a threat to democracy, the latest being the prime minister of Italy just a few weeks ago.

Elon Musk is a strong advocate of democracy and free speech, while Soros is an enemy of both.

Commented on A Question of Title

The problem is that the Beaufort County schools have a know-it-all power bully as their superintendant. Cheeseman wants total control and as long as his sock puppets conrol the school board, he will ignore the professionals who should be involved in a project like this and try to do it all himself. That way he does not have to share any portion of power with professionals like attorneys or real estate appraisers. He just does those functions himself although he is not qualified to do them.

When will enough of our school board wake up to snatch the steering wheel out of Cheeseman's incompetent hands? They are supposed to be the boss, but they act like they think the superintendant should be.

Foreign aid is one thing and used properly can be positive, but when an organization goes woke like USAID has, it starts spewign far left ideological crap. That is when it needs to be reined in, and President Trump is doing that. None of the expenditures listed in that British newspaper are legitimate foreign aid expenses. Heck, USAID even sent millions to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to do gain of function research on coronavirs which created Covid.

Yes, Bolshevik Bob, there are far left hate sites like Southern Poverty Law Center who constantly spew hate at conservative sites and have the gall to call their opponentss "hate sites" or "hate groups". One of the attorneys at the Southern Poverty Law Center was arrested in Atlanta for terrorism, which tells you all you need to know about those phonies.
