There are lots of things that states can and should do to crack down on illegal immigration. This is a great expansion of those opportunities. The problem is that Democrats want the illegals to come and stay, even those who commit serious crimes. They want to put them up in hotels at taxpayer expense. We have a legal immigration system that vets those wanting to immigrate, and it is highly unfair to let these line jumpers in front of them.

Asylum is a racket in both Europe and America. Illegal aliens are coached to claim asylum even though most of them are economic migrants not legally entitled to asylum. Many file the claim and just disappear. Those who actually show up on their court dates to go forward with the claims are overwhelming found not entitled to asylum.

There needs to be a serious crackdown on migrants fraudulently claiming asylum. For one thing, they ought to be polygraphed on their claims during their first encounter with immigration officials, and when the polygraph says they are lying, they need to be immediately expelled.

Most developed countries in the world base citizenship on the nationality of the parents, NOT on where the child happens to be born. How much of a threat to our community illegal aliens pose is shown by two random murders within the last week. In Chicago, an illegal alien jumped out of the bushes and randomly shot an 18 year old American college girl to death. In New York City, an illegal alien, randomly pushed two older men onto the subway tracks, and one, an 83 year old veteran, died of his injuries. Illegal aliens need to be rounded up and sent home.

There are way too many illegal aliens registering to vote and voting in our elections. The SAVE Act will put a stop to it, but RINO US Senate leader is dragging his feet on it, and our own turncoat US Senator Thom Tillis is outright opposing it. Trump knocked it out of the ballpark on illegal immigration in the SOTU.

In our local elections, we need to be mindful of the illegal immigration issue. Keith Kidwell has always been a champion on fighting illegal immigration. His opponent, Armstrong, is a big farmer and that is a huge red flag because exploiting illegal alien labor is part of the business model of big farmers. Armstrong would NOT be our friend.

Another huge red flag is on the two ex-teachers who have been members of the radical teachers union running for school board, Jennifer Cornelius and Monica Davis. The teachers unions are encouraging students to skip class to protest ICE. No one who has been a member of one of these teachers unions should ever be elected to any office.

For Congress all of the Republicans talk a good game on illegal immigration, but only Bobby Hanig and Asa Buck have an actual record of fighting for us on that issue.

The state level teachers unions are pushing students to protest ICE, following their national union's direction, in several southern states such as Texas and Florida. The state governments are actively fighting back to stop it. One wonders if the NC state teachers union will follow suit. If they do, it will be up to counties to stop it because Josh Stein is a screaming open borders leftist.

Encouraging students to abandon instructional time to go out and protest an issue that the teachers union wants them to is nothing but child abuse. Teachers who do that in any state should be terminated.

Sadly, the only teacher I have heard of who has lost his job over immigration enforcement issues was an Illinois teacher forced to resign over posting "Go ICE" on his personal Facebook page. www.zerohedge.com
