    Memo to the Pitt County Board of Commissioners: If you thought your Virtue Signaling of taking down the statute to fallen Confederate sons of Pitt County would make you heros of the Black Lives Matter crowd, or that it would even satiate anyone, you are foolishly mistaken. Take a knew and you encourage more violence.

    You should understand that this anti-monument movement is not about slavery or even about racism or systemic white supremacy. It is about destroying the American System. Next they say they are going after Christian symbols because they are European-centric. In other words: Destroy the symbols of Americanism and you can then destroy America as it has existed for over four hundred years. Yes, before 1619. And the Democrat Party is fully backing this treason. So taking down a few statutes will only add fuel to the fire, not stop it.
