Tens of thousands of deceased voters and duplicate registrations have been found on North Carolina's voters roles after a review by the Public Interest Legal Foundation, a non-profit legal institute that specializes in election integrity,  The review found 12,940 deceased voters still on the voter registration books including 7,943 "long after death", as well as 42,984 voters who were simultaneously registered in at least one other state as well as North Carolina, and 13,500 who were registered more than once within North Carolina.
