Far left Dem Court of Appeals judge up for election in 2024 | Eastern NC Now

along with Democrat held Supreme Court seat

ENCNow

A radical leftwing judicial activist appointed to the NC Court of Appeals by lefie Governor Roy Cooper will face a reelection contest in 2024, along with one Democrat held seat on the NC Supreme Court and two Reublican held Court of Appeals seats.

Allison Riggs was appointed by Cooper to fill a vacancy on the Court of Appeals and will face voters for the first time in 2024.  Prior to her appointment, Riggs entire legal career has been in working for the radical left Southern Coalition for Social Justice.  She is very much in the mold of radical left Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls, who does not come up for election again until 2026.

On the Supreme Court, liberal Democrat Associate Justice Michael Morgan is up for reelection, and already has a Republcian Court of Appeals Judge running against him.
