The corrupt dark money organizations around RINO senate boss Phil Berger are getting some investigation from the Daily Haymaker. Berger's state senate primary received more mailings and TV ads than the state's US Senate race. Berger outspent his conservative challenger Sheriff Sam Page by 53 to 1 but still lost by 23 votes.
It turns out the money for Berger's campaign and the attack on Page was filtered through multiple PACs and other organizations. Some of it hits a dead end that cannot be traced any further, but much of its ultimately goes back to special interest groups that want help with their legislation from Berger. It looks like Berger was a losing investment for them.

The special interest PAC "NC Ac Action PAC" has filed an information report revealing some additional information on its successful scheme to buy the 79th district House seat for the "RoundUp RINO" Darren Armstrong. Their consultant was out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Much of their funding is still "dark money" because it comes from organizations that do not file reports like the NC Ag Partnership, which is linked with an NGO that tried to put our shrimping industry out of business. Another dark money group that files no report calls itself "Keep Ag Growing NC" Some funds also passed through the NC Pork Council, Inc. but since they file no reports, there is nothing to show if its came out of their own funds or was a pass through. Two corporations in North Carolina that operate very large farming businesses also made large contributions, as well as a farming business located in Indiana. There were NO small or even medium contributors. They were all fat cats.
Many of these big special interests are corporations and that give more than the usual limit on contributions. Corporate contributions directly to a candidate are illegal in North Carolina but these corporations are allowed to buy a legislative seat for their special interest by spending their corporate money in a special interest independent expenditure campaign and to go way over the usual limit on campaign contributions.
The NC Ag Action PAC lists a total of only 6 contributors, all over the usual legal limit and all from corporations.
There are no reports that have been seen yet on the casino money spent against Kidwell.
