The Industrial Park would not be a good location for a new school, but elsewhere west of washington would be a great location. The slipslod and non-transparent planning process is the biggest problem with the way this has been handled. With a transparent planning process, the public would have a voice in site selection, but regretably this superintendant and his school board allies don't seem to value transpaerncy or public input.

Good catch, Country Girl. That is an incredible story of how conservatives organized and brought down far left DEI at Tractor Supply. We need to do that with more companies to stop these Dumb Evil Idiots. Here is Beaufort County we need to put a stop to the DEI disease at Beaufort County Community College.

LIberal Bloomberg may not have been looking but many conservatives were. So were a lot of liberals because this case was one of the reasons that the left has been so active in attacking the Supreme Court. However a second case that came down today also is a blow to the gut of the bureaucratic administrative state, opening up opportunities to sue by weakening the statute of limitations. Together these cases are a godsend for ordinary Americans against arrogant bureaucrats and their administrative overreach.

To Little Bobbie, "truth" means the leftwing narrative, and anything else is misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation. That last term is defined by the left as information that is factually correct just inconvenient to their narrative. Bobbie twists the "truth" as much as the "9/11 truthers". Bobbie is just another version of truther.

"ESSER funds"???? Someone with that detailed minutia sounds like a central office school employee, not a parent. Regardlesss of where public funds come from, they should not be flagrantly wasted. If the school was going to get torn down, shouldn't those funds have been spent somewhere else? Or was the plan for Eastern Elementary thrown together more recently than that? Either way, it illustrates the need for long range school facility planning that the current superintendant and current school board majority seem incapable of.

It is a Democrat insider who reported that meeting with Obama and Klain (who is an Obama operative) with Biden over whether Biden stays in the race. He is probably someone with some knowledge of what is going on. What would really show it is if they try to make Michelle Obama the new nominee. That would stink to high heaven. Using Biden as a front man is elder abuse.

The Democrat insider said he expected that fundraiser in the Hamptons to get called off if Biden agreed to withdraw. The fundraiser went on as planned, so that suggests that there has not yet been an agreement for Biden to withdraw.

The Democrats are really stupid to do all of this so publicly because it shows his own party no longer has confidence in Biden.

The only one of the two that is really known for a fact to be a "junk grabber" is Biden. Ask Tara Reade, Biden's former Senate employee. Biden did more than grab. He inserted his finger in her, what is known as digital rape, against her will.

As to the rigged Stalin Show Trial in Manhattan, that proves nothing except that the New York court system is thoroughly corrupt.

Anyone who watched the debate can see that Biden is well past being able to run the country. So who is? Some say Obama. Some say the deep state. Sokme say others. But Biden is clearly no capable of it.

Biden was a lie machine last night, which is par for the course with him and always has been. In his first run for President, he had to withdraw after he got caught giving a speech of UK Labour Party leader Neal Kinnock verbatim, using Kinnock's family history as his own.

Fraudulent elections should always be contested.

The problem with biased liberal debate moderators predates Trump by decades, and has been a concern of conservatives long before Trump. The idea is a FAIR debate, and having two moderators, one chosen by each side would accomplish that no matter who is running. With your TDS, your tunnel vision focuses just on Trump, but this has been a much larger and older problem. The important thing is to fix it so debates are fair to both candidates.

Bobbie, many conservatives want to improve the fairness and objectivity of presidential debates, which has been badly needed for a long time. That is why the RNC cut its involvment with the Presidential Debate Commission last year, before even knowing who the nominee would be. Left wing "journalists" should not have a monopoly on control of presidential debates. Yeah, Trump kicked Biden's ass, but the issue going forward is lets establish a level playing field for future presidential debates. Tapper and Bash could have been more blatant in skewing questions than they were, and the back that their bias and the network's bias was made so public probably stopped them from doing more than they did.

What is really needed for future debates is to let each candidate choose one moderator. Among other things, if a moderator got out of hand with such an arrangement, it would be clear to voters which candidate was to blame for them.

We may be stuck in some ways with an incompetent plan, but there is a need to improve it as much as is feasible, because it is clearly thrown together without much thought or study. On a longer term, however, we need a school board that are active participants in school policy and planning, not rubber stamps for whatever the superintendant decrees, which is mostly what we have now. This fiasco represents incredibly poor planning on the school board's part, and that is something that badly needs to change going forward. We have too many figureheads on the school board and too few real community leaders.

Superintendant Cheeseman does not care about what is good for education in Beaufort County, just about what looks good on his resume to get a higher paying and more prestigious job in a bigger system. Unfortunately, the majority of our school board are little more than seat warmers who do not really engage on school policy but instead just rubberstamp whatever Cheeseman tells them to do. Mack Hodges, T.W. Allen, and Eltha Booth are particularly pathetic examples of this. We need a school board that engages on policy, not the weak fools we have warming so many of those seats now.

Trump is taking the best availible option which is to take all three on, the tag team of Biden, Bash, and Tapper. I hope he calls out Bash and Tapper for what they are, and I hope he challenges Biden to a drug test during the debate.

School consolidation is a part of the liberal school establishment's agenda, which is opposed by conservatives who favor neighborhood schools. Conservatives believe that especially in lower grades, neighborhood schools provide an atmosphere much more conducive to family involement and that it is easy for students to feel lost in mega schools.

As for changing schools so often, this is actually worse with a K-3 elementary school instead of having elementary school extend up to the 6th grade as used to be the norm. Building a series, perhaps three, neighborhood K-6 schools would be much more positive for education that a mega K-3 school. Existing schools could be repurposed for that with renovations and perhaps some new construction as needed.

If DPI is misusing the lottery money to push the liberal agenda of school consolidation, the legislature needs to step in and put a stop to that. Local control of local schools means that local elected school boards should decide what is best for their district's needs, not liberal educrats in Raleigh.

Instead of a simplistic definition in some dictionary, to understand a political ideology one must look deeper. This definition conveniently leaves out the very certain principle of fascism, the belief in the "corporate state".

But even this simplistic definition fits Biden to a "T". Let's see. "dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy [rule by executive order instead of legislation, rulemaking beyond statutory authority, etc.], militarism [engaging in foreign wars], forcible suppression of opposition [lawfare against President Trump and his allies, attempts to remove him from ballot], belief in a natural social hierarchy [promoting the woke ideology], subordination of individual interests for the perceived ..."

There are a lot of morons who throw around the "fascist" label without knowing anything about what that ideology is about other than it is authoritarian, but there is a lot more to it than that. Fascism is based on the "corporate state" where political power, and authoritarian political power, is shared between fascist politicians and corporations and organizations in league with them. Executive decrees are used more than legislation through elected bodies. If Mussolini showed up today in a time machine, he would find himself much more comfortable in the Biden administration than the Trump administration. The Biden regime is the one that adheres more to classic fascist orthodoxy.

The main difference between communism and fascism is that under communism, the state owns all the property while under fascism private companies and individuals still own the property but government dictates how they can use it. Today's Democrats share an ideological kinship with Mussolini's fascists.

The European farmers call the EU Green Deal "climate communistm" but ideologically what is being pushed by the climate alarmists is much more out of the classic fascist playbook. A term I first heard when I was in college, "eco-fascism" is much more appropriate for the climate alarmism movement of today.

Beaufort County has not had ballot fraud problems. Our voting system is not one of the electronic ones which are prone to that. Within North Carolina, one would look to Durham County and some of the southeastern NC counties to find a history of election irregularities.

The Democrat fraud in 2020 largely orchestrated by Elias was targeted to major urban counties in the key swing states.

Jimmy Carter's commission on ballot security identified the practices that made elections insecure. Carter genuinely wanted honest elections. Marc Elias, on the other hand, tried to push as many of those sketchy techniquest into the 2020 election as possible. Carter provided the manual of what not to do, and Elias used it as a manual for what he did to the 2020 election.

Hooray for some common sense judges in the federal system. This makes 11 states where this dictatorial travesty has been blocked. Fifteen more states have pending lawsuits to block it.

Unfortunately, nobody is going to bat for the girls of North Carolina. Our radical left Attorney General Josh Stein actually supports Biden's distortion of Title IX. If not blocked in North Carolina, the radical Biden DOE is set to try to force boys into girls bathrooms and locker rooms and onto girls athletic teams. Even when all 26 states that have filed lawsuits get it blocked, the Biden DOE can still some after states like North Carolina.

This is a dictatorial abuse of power by the Biden regime which is thumbing its nose at the Constitutional doctrine of Separation of Powers. Congress adopted Title IX of the 1972 Civil Rights Act to protect women in education. The executive branch is supposed to enforce that law, NOT rewrite it to something different, which is what Biden is trying to do. He is acting like a dictator to usurp the powers of Congress.

Country Girl posted about this debacle in Puerto Rico with the Dominion voting machines. This should be a wake up call to any state using Dominion or any other electronic voting machines

We in Beaufort County have only ballot readers that have not been having the same problems as Dominion and similar machines. While there are some cross checks with the paper ballots, I think North Carolina should expand those just to be on the safe side.

While there are some Republicans who can correctly be called Uniparty like Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mitt Romney, Lisa Burkowski, THom Tillis, Phil Berger, and Tim Moore, trying to suggest Trump is one is way out there. There was lots of fraud in the 2020 election, mostly engineered by Democrat shyster Marc Elias to screw Trump and the conservatives.

Beaufort County has a Tammany Hall style government both with its school board and county commission. No transparency is in the process because everything is done by secret deals in the backroom. Our school system has had this problem for some time as our last school construction spree built too much space some places and left needs unmet in others. We are seeing the same "fly by the seat of their pants" approach this time, and probably worse.

The big cheese on that committee is Cheeseman. T.W. Allen is a joke, and little more than Cheeseman's sock puppet. When Cheeseman says "jump" he asks how high? Frankie Waters owes Cheeseman a big political favot, so he will rubber stamp whatever Cheeseman wants. When Waters wanted to screw his adversary Commissioner Stan Deatherage out of the school website contract, Cheeseman did his dirty work for him, and so now Waters owes that favor, putting him in Cheeseman's pocket. This is a one man show, and it is all Cheeseman. Cheeseman wants what he wants for his own resume and does not care about the impact on education in Beaufort County.

The Qanon people are the people who would be in Putin's pocket. For the Putin crowd, here is the explanation given in Putin's mouthpiece "Russia Today" on what happened to Ukraine's gold in 2014: www.rt.com

That was the quasi-official Russian account of Ukraine's missing gold reserves, but Russia and truth very rarely go together.

You can spin the political events of 2014 however you like but the facts are that the corrupt pro-Russian president fled the country because he counted heads in parliament and realized he was going to be impeached and removed the next day. His party boycotted that session of parliament but parliament had well more than a quorum and all the other parties voted unanimously to remove him. The removal was done by a proper Constitutional process by parliament. Those are simply the facts.

Now, I can see why that corrupt pro-Russian president chose not to stay around after he was certain to lose his presidential immunity when he was impeached. On his orders, secret police snipers had murdered over a hundred protesters, whose blood was on his hands. He got out of Dodge just ahead of the posse.

The Azov Battalion militia was formed by football fans to defend the city of Mariupol from Russian attack in 2014 and succeeded in doing that. It is named for the Sea of Azov on which Mariupol sits. The lie about their being "nazis" is one of Putin propaganda's more successful scams, but to hear fascist Putin and his fanboys talk, they consider all Ukrainian patriots as "nazis" It is shameful to see hoodwinked Americans repeat Putin's lies. redstate.com

Good catch, Country Girl. This is huge. A federal judge has shot down Biden's Title IX rewrite, where he imposed bureaucratic rules that stood Title IX as passed by Congress in 1972 on its head. Biden tried to delete the protection of women and girls and replace it with protection of "gender identity" and "sexual orientation". That is the opposite of what Congress passed.

Attorney General Paxton did a great job in shooting this monstrosity down. While this will help the other 25 states suing Biden over this travesty, the order does not seem to explicitely apply to them. With our radical left state AG Josh Stein, NC is not one of the states suing to overturn this harebrained rule.
