The MSM media lies? That is sort of like saying water is wet. Yeah, we knew that. This is just another example.

Biden's fake jobs report shows how his regime manipulates data for false claims. Most of his claimed "job increase" -231,000 out of a total of 272,000 claimed - came from one arbitrary adjustment to the calculation. That is the adjustment for "business births and deaths" (business start-ups and closures) and as the Bloomberg chief economist points out, they adjusted that in the wrong direction for what is actually happening in the economy. If that was adjusted the correct direction, the report would have undoubtedly showed an overall job loss.

To look at what is happening in just one industry in one state, it is estimated that 10,000 jobs have been lost in California last month as hundreds of fast food restaurants close and others cut staff in response to the new $20 an hour minimum wage in that state.

The secularist left has been infiltrating so-called "mainline churches" for decades, and it is not just the United Methodist Church. That branch of the Methodist Church does seem to be marching left at the fastest pace right now, but they have still not reached where the United Church of Christ has gone (the plain Church of Christ is a very different entity and a solid Bible-believing church, mpt at all like the social gospel United Church of Christ).

The US branch of the Episcopal Church has moved almost as far to the left as the United Methodist Church. Indeed, the African and Asian branches of that church have been making noises for years about leaving the worldwide Anglican communion over the liberal position on things such as homosexuality of the US Episcopalian church. So far, the parent church in the UK has been able to work out compromises.

It is good to see that Methodists who do not buy into the liberal "social gospel" now have a home in the Global Methodist Church, and it looks like there is an exodus into this new church grouping.

The issue of large consolidated schools versus neighborhood schools has always been an issue that separates conservatives from liberals. Conservatives support neighborhood schools and that is particularly true for elementary school.

School superintendants career paths are to build their resumes to try to move up to larger and better paying school districts, and they look for things that will please the liberal education establishment as the larger districts are more likely to be run by liberals. This huge consolidated elementary school was just what Cheeseman's resume needed for his own career advancement.

We cannot overlook the role of liberal "Republican" state Superintendant Catherine Truitt in this boondoggle. She helped steer this money to big consolidated schools instead of neighborhood schools. It is good that she got bounced in the GOP primary by conservative Michelle Morrow, who will follow a conservative and Republican path in that position. Truitt's attempts to buy votes with these last minute grants just before the election did not work. Beaufort County and others that got her consolidation focused grants helped vote her out of office.

To really fix education in Beaufort County, we need to take Cheeseman's rubber stamps off of our local school board. T.W. Allen, Mack Hodges, and Eltha Booth all need to be replaced by people who will represent the citizens and taxpayers instead of being sock puppets for our liberal superintendant.
Commented: Thursday, June 6th, 2024 @ 10:30 am By: Concerned Taxpayer
What you really have, Hood, is one guy making all the decisions, and that is Matthew Cheeseman. T.W. Allen is nothing but his sock puppet, parotting whatever Cheeseman wants. Allen is so patheric that he cannot even chair the school board without having Cheeseman sitting at his elbow to tell him what to do.

And Frankie Waters? He owes Cheeseman a huge political favor for Cheeseman's helping Frankie hoo-doo Stan Deatherage out of his website contract with the county schools. Cheeseman had his rubber stamp school board give it to an out of town company that charges substantially more money, just to slam Deatherage politically. He did that as a political favor to Frankie Waters, and now Frankie Waters owes him for it. So now, Cheeseman will get whatever he wants out of Waters.

Cheeseman is the one driving this bus, and it is all about what will look best on Cheeseman's resume for when he applies to a bigger and better paying school district. What is best for our county is VERY secondary for Cheeseman.

This morning, I probably feel a lot like a liberty-loving German in the waning days of the Weimar Republic. A wannabee dictator has come to power through electoral means and is now making his play for absolute power, seeking to sweep away opposition. What happened yesterday is like their Reichstag Fire. Biden is the budding dictator trying to extinguish our democracy and he and his movement simply must be stopped.

Using the courts with false and made-up charges to take down political opponents is what dictators and would-be dictators do. Biden is following the path of Stalin, Putin, Maduro, Hitler, and others.

I wonder why someone in Bath would be pushing spending all the money in a different attendance district? Something does not add up there.

What was needed was a countywide needs assessment and school population projection, not Cheeseman's half-assed resume-driven boondoggle. What was also needed was more public input in the process at a much earlier stage. The public should have been consulted early on before a specific plan was developed. They may hold meetings now to tell you what they are going to do, but transparency and public input were totally lacking in putting that plan together. That is NOT how things should work in a democratic system.

Anyone familiar with the schools has heard about needs in Chocowinity for years. They were left out of the last round of school construction. Why did none of this money go to Chocowinity? Did Cheeseman not think that would help his resume as much?

WE need a school board majority who are more than just front men for a power obsessed superintendant.
Commented: Thursday, May 30th, 2024 @ 6:04 am By: Concerned Taxpayer
What taxpayers needed to see was serious planning for future school needs. In the past, superintendants have pushed plans that left us with excess capacity in some places and unfullfilled needs in others. Here we go again, with a superintendant crafted plan with no expert analysis. There are people who do population projections, but our own school admin office lacks that capacity, and no experts were called in. Such projects are essential to competently project school needs. We have a superintendant who simply wants to create a resume item for when he applies for a better paying job at a bigger system and he wants it quickly, so never mind doing the legwork that should be done. WE have no comprehensive facilities plan, and that is what is needed before going off half cocked and spending milliions of taxpayer dollars.

Government-run schools have gone downhill so far that it is good to see parents being given alternatives. Not only has quality gone to the dogs, but indoctrination is rampant for the woke agenda. Voters are waking up to the problem. Fixing the school boards to put in members who keep close control of their bureaucracies helps but giving parents the option to go outside the government-run schools is even better. More states need to jump on this bandwagon. HOORAY FOR TEXAS.

Transparency and open government are two things that do not exist with our current school board majority and their puppetmaster superintendant. This $50 million scheme was concocted in the backroom with no public input or even knowledge and then rubberstamped, again with no real public input by the sockpuppet majority on the school board. Where were the public hearings on school needs preceding the planning or indeed in any stage of the planning? Where were the outside expert analysis reports and recommendations? Some of these idiots may nominally be "Republicans" but they spend money like Biden and Pelosi.

You may want to get your "facts" straight, Bobbie. I'll even give it to you from a liberal source, the liberal MSM news website (and former magazine) Newsweek, an article published online only a couple of months ago. Illegal aliens COST the US economy $150.7 Billion per year. They are a net detriment, not a positive for the economy.

Globalism is an ideology measured by support of the globalist agenda, not by how much money you have or don't have. There are plenty of (stupid) less well to do supporters of globalism and some wealthy people who see the danger in the ideology and strongly oppose it. Trump is one of the latter.

The politician who is standing ON the middle class is Biden with his destructive energy, spending, and border policies, all of which are crucifying the middle class with Bidenflation. Trump left office with 1.4% inflation, and Biden's leftwing agenda has caused it to soar since. I remember a comment on talk radio a few days ago from someone who reported in their town the McDonald's medium fries were $1.79 when Trump left office and are now $4.19 under Biden. The middle class cannot stand much more of that Biden financial abuse.

And Bobbie, are your thoughts so disjointed that you have to try to hog the space? One comment combining your three below would have been gracious plenty.

Biden's attempt to buy votes by cancelling college debts is ripping off the taxpayers and further boosting Bidenflation. His arrogance in defying the Supreme Court on that is appallingly arrogant.

Illegal aliens are a big drain on the taxpayers. Why should hardworking American taxpayers be subsidizing people who wantonly violate our immigration laws? They need to be gone. They also drive up housing and medical costs for citizens.

The left wants to shut down free speech on a lot of public policy issues. The climate alarmists, for example, call for not allowing anyone to dispute their positions in public, even criminalising doing so. Biden has tried to suppress information contrary to his political positions, and the State of Missouri now has a lawsuit on that in front of the Supreme Court.
Commented: Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 @ 4:28 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
It is Biden and his climate alarmist cohorts that have created the huge rise in energy prices in this country. The solution our country has is to replace Biden with Trump, who actually cares about the middle class, while Biden only serves the elites.

This school ought to be named "Cheeseman's Folly" because it is all about building his resume for his next job, not about what our school system needs. The lack of any outside study on school system facility needs and the best way to accomplish those is glaring. This project is all about Cheeseman and nothing else. Many on the school board have not been in the loop, and the leadership who have known about it have been Cheeseman's flunkies. What a boondoggle.

Biden wants to make the electric grid situation even worse with electric cars, putting more demand for capacity on the grid at the same time he wants to make grid stability a crap shoot by imposing intermittant wind and solar in place of steady and reliable coal and gas.

As the grid goes unreliable, how will people get around? California has already said that when grid capacity is tight, they can ban charging of electric cars and Switzerland has said it would ban electric cars from the roads and highways when the grid capacity was tight.
Commented: Saturday, May 18th, 2024 @ 3:21 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
Biden's radical globalist energy policies are the biggest contributor to Bidenflation, as energy is a component of the cost of almost everything, and he started that crap on his first day in office, continuing it ever since. Biden's overspending, much of it related to his globalist "green energy" push has also been a major contributor to Bidenflation. The only way out of this economic mousetrap Biden has created is to bring back President Trump, who has good sense on energy and spending.

The "wind that will blow it all away" on offshore wind turbines is called a hurricane, and if we rely on these whale and bird killers for power, then after a bad hurricane, we will probably be without power for many months.

Read that book by Shellenberger. It may get you out of your crazy climate cult. You need to stop drinking their kool aid, Bobbie.

Look in a mirror if you want to see an idiot, Little Bobbie. All you do is blindly follow the crazy climate cult and their wacky tunnel vision. They are the biggest doomsday cult in history, and you are a stupid lemming marching off the cliff with them.

If you want to escape from that cult, try that book by Michael Shellenberger, a true environmentalist who was once caught up in that cult too but after thinking it all through for himself, escaped from it.

The "emissions cost" is zero. The cost of the scrubbers that take out the real pollutants like sulphur dioxide are already included in that wholesale price that is charged to the long island power agency. That there is any financial detriment from CO2 is just a fantasy of the climate cult. Those offshore wind turbines have a whole lot of damage to the environment that is shown in that film for Environmental Progress that is not being paid for by anyone. Wind turbines are an environmental horror story, whether on land or sea.
Commented: Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 @ 7:29 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
LIttle Bobbie seems stuck on Common Core math. The conventional power that the Long Island power agency buys IS fossil fuel power, and it is one-third the cost of power from that offshore wind development.
Commented: Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 @ 12:11 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
The cost to consumers of offshore wind power is enormous. The New York Post reported that the wholesale contract price for electricity from the South Fork Wind Farm, the first offshore wind project to go into wervice in the US is more than three times higher than the wholesale contract price for conventional electricity. Consumers get gouged for this stuff.

North Carolina has something worse than the EU's Green Deal facing us, and it is all the fault of liberal "Republican" Senate boss Phil Berger and his radical left last minute rewrite of HB951. The EU's Green Deal calls for reducing "greenhouse emissions" by 50% by 2030 while NC's HB951 calls for a much bigger 70% reduction. That will send our electric rates into the stratosphere. Thanks a whole heck of a lot, traitor Phil Berger! Here is the whole sordid story of how HB951 was hijacked and passed: www.beaufortcountynow.com

Still backing the HAmas terrorists, I see, Bigot Bob. You are a sick puppy. You used the line to justify the Oct. 7 terrorism against women, children, and other civilians that "things don't happen in a vacuum". Now those terrorists who raped, tortured, murdered those Oct. 7 victims, including babies baked in ovens. Those are the monsters you want to defend. Those monsters try to escape by using human shields, and anyone agreeing to be human shields for such monsters is putting themselves at risk. Israel has created a place for them to go where they will be safe if they choose.

It is not the human shields who have to be dealth with, it is the Hamas terrorist monsters who have to be destroyed for what they did to innocent civilians including many women and children on Oct. 7.
Commented: Saturday, May 11th, 2024 @ 1:09 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
I heard on the radio today, that the Hamas terrorist group still has 14,000 terrorist fighters in Rafah, as well as their surviving leadership. Leaving them in place just makes new terrorism certain. They very simply have to be dealt with, and Biden trying to protect them almost makes Biden an accessory after the fact to the Oct. 7 terrorism.

Isreal is letting the civilians out, but Hamas wants to use them as human shields. That should not be tolerated but it should not stop the campaign to eradicate Hamas.

We could not let some of the Nazi leadership slip off to some part of Germany and stay intact in WWII, and for the same reason, Israel cannot do that now. In WWII, we and our allies deliberately bombed civilian areas in Germany. Israel has done all it can to avoid doing that.

Without those precision weapons, the necessary Israeli campaign to wipe out Hamas will be more costly both in Israeli soldiers and in Gaza civilians. That blood will be on Biden's hands, and it is all for his stinking politics over the Muslim vote in Michigan. He will not prevent the removal of Hamas from Rafah, he will just make it more bloody.

It sounds like Ms. Jones is having her rights trampled by DSS. Why did they not provide paperwork when they took the children? Why has there apparently not been a court hearing set? Why did the schools and DSS take this drastic action without apparently much investigation? Why did they take the two children who were not truant? Somebody needs to investigate Beaufort County DSS, and it sounds like they will throw up "confidentiality" to keep the commissioners from doing so. Can Ms. Jones, as the aggrieved party waive confidentiality? I wonder if state DSS could be called in? But then one social worker is probably going to whitewash things for another social worker. However it is done, it appears Beaufort County DSS needs a very thorough investigation as they pose a clear and present danger to the liberty of our citizens as long as they are allowed to run amok like this.

This is way too much power for DSS to have over our families, and there needs to be some neutral group which can investigate tham when they get out of hand like this. The sanctity of our familites is a cornerstone of American liberty.

I wish we had a US president as concerned about illegal migration to the US as Panama's new president. Illegal immigration is costing our taxpayers a mint, thanks to Biden. I suspect we will have a president who will crack down on this flood of illegals mooching off of our taxpayers once President Trump returns to office in January.

The current universities are a woke joke. What is needed is a new type of diversity - viewpoint diversity. What is needed on every key faculty is that there be at least one third of the faculty members right of center and one third left of center. Where they are out of balance now, as all of them are, impose affirmative action to bring the numbers of the underrepresented viewpoint to at least a third. Steps should also be taken to insure that there is not viewpoint discrimination on admissions.

The recent rise of the pro-Hamas new Hitler Youth on college campuses is a big wake up call for change.
