Yes, let the TWO CANDIDATES debate, without grandstanding politically biased "moderators" trying to be the center of attention and push thing to their favored candidate.

If one or both of the candidates are jacked up on drugs, the public should know it. A drug test is a great idea, and a recent poll shows the American public agrees.

Sometimes I think these "green" fascists ought to be regarded as terrorists as much damage as they do to human society and to the environment.

In Scotland, the official government forestry agency has calculated that over 13 million trees have been chopped down, just on govenrment land in that country, not even including trees chopped on private land, to build wind and solar "farms". It is wind and solar developers who are destorying nature in Europe and America, NOT farmers.

These idiots claim they are fighting against CO2, but trees are a huge CO2 "sink" through photosynthesis where they take in CO2 and give off Oxygen. Chopping down millions of trees for wind and solar "farms" just destroys nature's way to processing CO2 back to Oxygen. But the wind and solar industry really care nothing about the environment. All they care about is lining their pockets with taxpayer dollars from government subsidies. That is true everywhere around the world.

Evetything has gone up under Biden, due to his tax and spend policies. It is time to get some sanity back in our economy by electing Donald Trump. His climate alaramist Green New Deal crap is also driving up our electric rates.

Affirmative action was widespread in the early 1970s. Everybody now below retirement age would have come up when it was part of the system. That explodes your inherited racial guilt argument.

On top of that, the court case that required stringent racial quotas in all schools came out of Mecklenburg County, NC and was decided in 1970. Maybe it took a year or two to work its way through all the school systems, but everyone below retirement age would have gone to high school when stringent racial quotas were in effect. Again, that demolishes your argument.

The woke crap about inherited racial guilt and trying to call groups of people either "oppressors" or "oppressed" over things that happened over half a century ago is just Marxist crap about dividing our society, straingt out of Herbert Marcuse.

That is one of the stupidest parts of the woke narrative that Bobbie preaches. Education is NOT inherited from one generation to the next. Wealth can also come and go. Someone with a great idea or a great skill can achieve wealth in a wide variety of areas from business to sports and that does not take generations. Also, descendants who do not have the skill set to maintain wealth lose it. Given that everyone of working age has come up in a time of Affirmative Action means that all groups in society have had opportunites to obtain excellence and intelligence. Merit is something each indiviual achieves themselves or doesn't.

We do not all inherit a status as "oppressed" or "oppressors" Bolshevik Bob. Nobody inherits any of that. People should be assessed as individuals, not as members of a group.

When it comes to our troops health, cutting corners for things that may be harmful is not something we should condone. Imitation meat is not the same thing as real meat. Being fed that junk would also hurt enlistement.

There are two flavors of Repuvlicans, conservatives and RINOs, the latter of which are also known as Undocumented Democrats or Democrats in Drag. Clearly, Bobbie prefers the fake Repuvlicans like Liz Cheney or Thom Tillis.

Richardson's concerns on this vandalism in our schools reflects the feelings of many taxpayers in our county. The level of trust in the school system is not great due to their secretiveness and lack of transparency. People want answers but the school system wants to deflect. While they may not be able to give the names of the students, that is not what people are looking for. The school system wants to keep all information behind closed doors while the citizens want government in the sunshine.

FLorida proved that the economy is better off without the illegal aliens. They set a strict enforcement of citizenship or green card requirements to work and the left screamed that their economy would suffer. It didn't. They are doing just fine.

Our economy will be better off without these parasites mooching all sorts of assistance. They are, for example, driving up the cost of health care by mooching that in Emergency Rooms at hospitals. Illegal aliens cost our economy billions every year.

And it is not only health care. Housing and food prices are also being driven upward by all the illegal alien parasites.

The elections in Europe were not just a poll, but a sea change in government. Voters tossed out the climate alarmists and replaced them with people who understand the harm that climate alarmism does. And it was younger voters at the forefront of doing that.
The farmers of Europe are to be congratulated on getting the message out against what they aptly call "climate communism".

There is no "tipping point". The history of the Earth shows we have always had alternating cycles of warming and cooling periods. The last warm cycle, the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today and nothing bad resulted. Indeed, the longest and hottest warming cycle, the Holocene Maximum, waw MUCH warmer than today and for three thousand years and nothing bad resulted.

The European voters have wised up and kicked out a big chunk of "green" members of the EU parliament and their liberal allies, Bolshevik Bob. They have learned the damage that is being done by what European farmers call "climate communism" They have replaced them with members of populist right parties who are not beholden to the climate cult.

Here in America, the polls are showing that almost no one cares about the climate alarmist agenda. The next TRump administration will drive a stake through the heart of that monster.

Weather happens, Little Bobbie, and should not be politicized by the green left.

The pagan religious cult of Climate Scientology is much like the medieval church. In the medieval church, anything bad that happened was a punishment from God, but if you wanted to sin, you could buy an indulgence from the Pope. Under Climate Scientology, anything bad that happens is a punishment from Manmade Global Warming, and if you want to sin, you can buy an indulgence called a "carbon offset" from the pope of that cult, Al Gore, who has a company selling them.

"NO to immigration and the Green madness" was the slogan used to win the EU election in the Czech Republic by the Czech populist nationalist right ANO Party to win the EU election in the their country. It would be a great slogan for the US election.

The Earth has always gone through alternating warming and cooling cycles throughout its history. We have been in a natural warming cycle since the end of the last cooling period, called the Little Ice Age in the 19th century. The Earth is not now yet as warm as the last warming cycle, known as the Medieval Warm Period, and nowhere close to the longest and hottest warming cycle, the Holocene Maximum. Nothing bad happened to the planet in either of those cycles. If you want to learn the science that debunks the CO2 climate alarmist theory, watch the British TV documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" www.youtube.com

The drubbing given to the "Green" parties also shows that voters are tiring of climate alarmism. The farmer protests against "climate communism" have alerted people to the danger of that ideology, as have the consumer demonstrations against it led by that German princess. Green policies are attacking food resources, driving utility prices into the stratosphere, and trying to force people into electric cars that most of them do not want.

Jack, graduating seniors would likely all be 18 or at least most of them, and therefore adults. Privacy laws would not stop them being charged as adults for the criminal activity they engaged in. That alone should be sufficient leverage to at least get them or their families to make restitution for the damage they did. School officials thinking taxpayers should absorb that is an outrage. So is the failure to come clean about what is going on with this matter.

The taxpayers should NOT have to pay for this vandalism when we know who did it. Has Cheeseman extracted the money out of the perps or their parents? If not, they should be prosecuted, and that can still be done. At minimum if Cheeseman is covering for these delinquents, Cheeseman should have to pay for it himself. Has Cheesemen even bothered to find out how they got the key and fired whoever was responsible for that?

Will our pathetic rubberstamp majority on the school board hold Chesseman's feet to the fire on this? Sadly, probably not, when we have such pathetic jokes as T. W. Allen and Mack Hodges sitting there like bumps on a log.

Biden's fake jobs report shows how his regime manipulates data for false claims. Most of his claimed "job increase" -231,000 out of a total of 272,000 claimed - came from one arbitrary adjustment to the calculation. That is the adjustment for "business births and deaths" (business start-ups and closures) and as the Bloomberg chief economist points out, they adjusted that in the wrong direction for what is actually happening in the economy. If that was adjusted the correct direction, the report would have undoubtedly showed an overall job loss.

To look at what is happening in just one industry in one state, it is estimated that 10,000 jobs have been lost in California last month as hundreds of fast food restaurants close and others cut staff in response to the new $20 an hour minimum wage in that state.

The secularist left has been infiltrating so-called "mainline churches" for decades, and it is not just the United Methodist Church. That branch of the Methodist Church does seem to be marching left at the fastest pace right now, but they have still not reached where the United Church of Christ has gone (the plain Church of Christ is a very different entity and a solid Bible-believing church, mpt at all like the social gospel United Church of Christ).

The US branch of the Episcopal Church has moved almost as far to the left as the United Methodist Church. Indeed, the African and Asian branches of that church have been making noises for years about leaving the worldwide Anglican communion over the liberal position on things such as homosexuality of the US Episcopalian church. So far, the parent church in the UK has been able to work out compromises.

It is good to see that Methodists who do not buy into the liberal "social gospel" now have a home in the Global Methodist Church, and it looks like there is an exodus into this new church grouping.

The issue of large consolidated schools versus neighborhood schools has always been an issue that separates conservatives from liberals. Conservatives support neighborhood schools and that is particularly true for elementary school.

School superintendants career paths are to build their resumes to try to move up to larger and better paying school districts, and they look for things that will please the liberal education establishment as the larger districts are more likely to be run by liberals. This huge consolidated elementary school was just what Cheeseman's resume needed for his own career advancement.

We cannot overlook the role of liberal "Republican" state Superintendant Catherine Truitt in this boondoggle. She helped steer this money to big consolidated schools instead of neighborhood schools. It is good that she got bounced in the GOP primary by conservative Michelle Morrow, who will follow a conservative and Republican path in that position. Truitt's attempts to buy votes with these last minute grants just before the election did not work. Beaufort County and others that got her consolidation focused grants helped vote her out of office.

To really fix education in Beaufort County, we need to take Cheeseman's rubber stamps off of our local school board. T.W. Allen, Mack Hodges, and Eltha Booth all need to be replaced by people who will represent the citizens and taxpayers instead of being sock puppets for our liberal superintendant.
Commented: Thursday, June 6th, 2024 @ 10:30 am By: Concerned Taxpayer
What you really have, Hood, is one guy making all the decisions, and that is Matthew Cheeseman. T.W. Allen is nothing but his sock puppet, parotting whatever Cheeseman wants. Allen is so patheric that he cannot even chair the school board without having Cheeseman sitting at his elbow to tell him what to do.

And Frankie Waters? He owes Cheeseman a huge political favor for Cheeseman's helping Frankie hoo-doo Stan Deatherage out of his website contract with the county schools. Cheeseman had his rubber stamp school board give it to an out of town company that charges substantially more money, just to slam Deatherage politically. He did that as a political favor to Frankie Waters, and now Frankie Waters owes him for it. So now, Cheeseman will get whatever he wants out of Waters.

Cheeseman is the one driving this bus, and it is all about what will look best on Cheeseman's resume for when he applies to a bigger and better paying school district. What is best for our county is VERY secondary for Cheeseman.

This morning, I probably feel a lot like a liberty-loving German in the waning days of the Weimar Republic. A wannabee dictator has come to power through electoral means and is now making his play for absolute power, seeking to sweep away opposition. What happened yesterday is like their Reichstag Fire. Biden is the budding dictator trying to extinguish our democracy and he and his movement simply must be stopped.

Using the courts with false and made-up charges to take down political opponents is what dictators and would-be dictators do. Biden is following the path of Stalin, Putin, Maduro, Hitler, and others.

I wonder why someone in Bath would be pushing spending all the money in a different attendance district? Something does not add up there.

What was needed was a countywide needs assessment and school population projection, not Cheeseman's half-assed resume-driven boondoggle. What was also needed was more public input in the process at a much earlier stage. The public should have been consulted early on before a specific plan was developed. They may hold meetings now to tell you what they are going to do, but transparency and public input were totally lacking in putting that plan together. That is NOT how things should work in a democratic system.

Anyone familiar with the schools has heard about needs in Chocowinity for years. They were left out of the last round of school construction. Why did none of this money go to Chocowinity? Did Cheeseman not think that would help his resume as much?

WE need a school board majority who are more than just front men for a power obsessed superintendant.
Commented: Thursday, May 30th, 2024 @ 6:04 am By: Concerned Taxpayer
What taxpayers needed to see was serious planning for future school needs. In the past, superintendants have pushed plans that left us with excess capacity in some places and unfullfilled needs in others. Here we go again, with a superintendant crafted plan with no expert analysis. There are people who do population projections, but our own school admin office lacks that capacity, and no experts were called in. Such projects are essential to competently project school needs. We have a superintendant who simply wants to create a resume item for when he applies for a better paying job at a bigger system and he wants it quickly, so never mind doing the legwork that should be done. WE have no comprehensive facilities plan, and that is what is needed before going off half cocked and spending milliions of taxpayer dollars.

Government-run schools have gone downhill so far that it is good to see parents being given alternatives. Not only has quality gone to the dogs, but indoctrination is rampant for the woke agenda. Voters are waking up to the problem. Fixing the school boards to put in members who keep close control of their bureaucracies helps but giving parents the option to go outside the government-run schools is even better. More states need to jump on this bandwagon. HOORAY FOR TEXAS.

Transparency and open government are two things that do not exist with our current school board majority and their puppetmaster superintendant. This $50 million scheme was concocted in the backroom with no public input or even knowledge and then rubberstamped, again with no real public input by the sockpuppet majority on the school board. Where were the public hearings on school needs preceding the planning or indeed in any stage of the planning? Where were the outside expert analysis reports and recommendations? Some of these idiots may nominally be "Republicans" but they spend money like Biden and Pelosi.

You may want to get your "facts" straight, Bobbie. I'll even give it to you from a liberal source, the liberal MSM news website (and former magazine) Newsweek, an article published online only a couple of months ago. Illegal aliens COST the US economy $150.7 Billion per year. They are a net detriment, not a positive for the economy.
www.newsweek.com

Globalism is an ideology measured by support of the globalist agenda, not by how much money you have or don't have. There are plenty of (stupid) less well to do supporters of globalism and some wealthy people who see the danger in the ideology and strongly oppose it. Trump is one of the latter.

The politician who is standing ON the middle class is Biden with his destructive energy, spending, and border policies, all of which are crucifying the middle class with Bidenflation. Trump left office with 1.4% inflation, and Biden's leftwing agenda has caused it to soar since. I remember a comment on talk radio a few days ago from someone who reported in their town the McDonald's medium fries were $1.79 when Trump left office and are now $4.19 under Biden. The middle class cannot stand much more of that Biden financial abuse.

And Bobbie, are your thoughts so disjointed that you have to try to hog the space? One comment combining your three below would have been gracious plenty.

Biden's attempt to buy votes by cancelling college debts is ripping off the taxpayers and further boosting Bidenflation. His arrogance in defying the Supreme Court on that is appallingly arrogant.

Illegal aliens are a big drain on the taxpayers. Why should hardworking American taxpayers be subsidizing people who wantonly violate our immigration laws? They need to be gone. They also drive up housing and medical costs for citizens.

The left wants to shut down free speech on a lot of public policy issues. The climate alarmists, for example, call for not allowing anyone to dispute their positions in public, even criminalising doing so. Biden has tried to suppress information contrary to his political positions, and the State of Missouri now has a lawsuit on that in front of the Supreme Court.

It is Biden and his climate alarmist cohorts that have created the huge rise in energy prices in this country. The solution our country has is to replace Biden with Trump, who actually cares about the middle class, while Biden only serves the elites.

This school ought to be named "Cheeseman's Folly" because it is all about building his resume for his next job, not about what our school system needs. The lack of any outside study on school system facility needs and the best way to accomplish those is glaring. This project is all about Cheeseman and nothing else. Many on the school board have not been in the loop, and the leadership who have known about it have been Cheeseman's flunkies. What a boondoggle.
