It is the totalitarian slimeballs like Biden who are allowing in swarms of illegal alien criminals, and coddling all criminals. The Soros prosecutors are also doing their part to increase crime. Law abiding citizens need guns to protect themselves against the criminality unleashed by the Democrats. If a kid gets shot in the face, it will likely be by a criminal who did so because his own family did not have a gun handy to defend against the criminal.

Biden has just come out with a new dictatorial move, forcing background checks on private gun sales, something Congress has considered several times and always rejected, even when Democrats were in control. I'm about where John F. Kennedy was in 1960, and he was considered a liberal in his time. EVen with George McGovern, who was considered an ultra-liberal, I am probably closer to him on his right than you are to him on his left. It is the left over the last few decades that has shifted hugely much farther left, leaving today's conservatives such as myself to occupy the political ground once considered "liberal". Your views expressed on this board are far to the left of what used to be considered a liberal.

The eco-fascists in the Biden regime are trying to ram these lousy electric vehicles down our throats, and most Americans do not want them. They are behaving like dictators. EV's are expensive to buy or repair. Their spontaneously combusting big lithium batteries make them a fire hazard. What happened to those electric buses in Paris and London also happens to electric cars. I would not have one of those stinking things parked in my garage or near my house.

Our self interest as consumers is not to buy vehicles that when the battery dies, the car is worthless. Our self interest is not to be stuck with cars that cannot be used when there is an electric grid crisis. Our self interest is not to buy a car which is going to be more expensive to insure because it often has such high repair costs that it is not even economical to try to repair it after a collision.

But if we are looking at real facts, the Biden regime is clearly trying to suppress free speech, clearly trying to suppress gun rights, and clearly misusing the justice system against their political oppoents, all of which are hallmarks of dictatorship. Further there is a strong tendency by the Biden regime to refuse to follows the duly adopted law, as they are doing with illegal immigration, and to rule by decree, as they are doing with energy / environment, again hallmarks of dictatorship. There are only a few areas where the federal government can impose health mandates. The military was one. People entering the country was another, where Biden allowed illegal aliens to come in unvaccinated but those entering the country legally to show proof of vaccination. For most of us, we either lived in a free state like Florida or South Dakota or a Covid dictatorship like Michigan or New York. In some cases, counties told their state governments to get stuffed and refused to enforce state mandates. Many sheriffs in eastern NC, for example, did that.

Appointing a special counsel to investigate and prosecute misuse of the courts for election interference would do a lot to get democracy back on a solid footing in our country. Biden is operating the same way that Putin or Stalin operate or operated, and even like Hitler.
