Will, the politburo that pulled Biden's strings already DID that with Big Tech on censorship of social media and news media. Censorship is bad and undemocratic no matter who does it. And Zuckerberg did it with manipulating the 2020 election.

Little Bobbie is whining about the $40 million that Space X is getting paid to rescue the lost in space astronauts who Biden has left stranded for months on the International Space Station. Space X seems to be the only ones capable of retrieving them. Does Little Bobbie propose that they just be left to die in space?

Anyone who is against DOGE must be a supporter of government waster, fraud, and corruption AND a supporter of the Deep State. The bureaucracy is out of control and our country needs someone with the skill set to sort out what is going on. DOGE has found a whole lot of wasted money. Do you want that waste to continue?

Phil Berger is a turd in the Republican punchbowl who constantly betrays us on policy. What he did to ram through Roy Cooper's NC Green New Deal, HB951 in a radical left last minute rewrite of the original bill was atrocious and will cost NC electric ratepayers a bundle. The whole disgusting story can be read at this link:

Phil Berger has betrayed North Carolina Republicans. He needs to GO.

It was on the radio this morning that those at FEMA responsible for approving money to put illegal aliens in luxury hotels have been fired and that the clawback process has begun against the hotels. Good job, DOGE.

It is so great that we have Musk and his team of computer nerd volunteers with the skills to dig through all to bureaucracy to find all of this outrageous spending. They have the skills to find things that the Deep State thought they had covered up. No wonder the Deep State is in a panic and trying to stave them off. This is a great day for the taxpayers. Yes, they should impeach that corrupt New York Obama judge who is trying to put the brakes on DOGE.

HOORAY FOR DOGE and Musk.

The Biden and Obama administrations supported this ideological misuse of taxpayer money. They were all-in on the woke agenda and the globalist agenda. They were not about to spill the beans. And USAID constantly stonewalled Congressional inquiries like they tried to do to Sen. Tom Coburn when he went after USAID twenty years ago for funding a pro-prostitution organization in India that covered up for the kidnapping of young girls to be forced prostitutes in brothels.

The Democrats are trying to protect the financial shananigans of the Deep State. The federal government does not need to be a slush fund for their leftwing poltiical projects. Now DOGE is rinding large scale actual fraud, and the bureaucrats seemed to have been aware of it but did nothing until DOGE came along.

Not only are electric buses dangerous to occupants when they catch fire, but look at all that air pollution when their lithium batteries burn. Unlike CO2, which is a vital nutriet for plants and harmless to animals, smoke from burning lithium is highly toxic and can cause conditions that are fatal.

Although their lithium batteries are much smaller, that also applies to elect cars as well. While I applaud the great work Musk is doing at DOGE and his steadfast fight for freedom of speech, that would never lead me to buy a Tesla or any other electric car.

The whole idea of foreign aid is to help countries that are struggling like those in the Third World, not pushing woke political agendas in a major industrialized western country in Eueope. What USAID was doing in the UK was preposturous. They also sent a big chunk of US taxpayer money to the left leaning BBC which is funded by the British govenrment. Why? They funded a major international censorship organization there. Why? THey are funding illegal immigration into the UK. Why? What if CHina funded illegal immigration into the US?

Good riddance to the politically corrupt USAID.

IT was Biden's insane energy policies that drove inflation so high. Energy is a component of the price of most everything. Trump has reversed those polcies, but the impact of that is hardly instantaneous. Expecting it to be is a leftist scam to set up a straw man to knock down.

And I notice Bobbie has nothing to say about the miserable impact on jobs of the Biden economy.

Commented on A Question of Title

This fiasco over the missing 4 acres is a total boondoggle, and the ruling cliques of both the school board and county commission have egg all over their faces. The taxpayers have been hung out to dry. Why delegate all of this power to a superintendant who clearly has no business sense or competence? It will be particularly galling if after this dog and pony show he dares demand a raise or a contract extension.

Of the two foreign leaders who have commented on Trump's action, both have supported it, both presidents being from recipient countries. One is black and the other Hispanic. Bigot Bob's constant delusion is whining about his "white power" fantasy. Bigot Bob is delusional.

Correction, once upon a time USAID HAD a good track record, until its deep state staff went woke and went rogue, stonewalling Congress on what they were doing. Biden's USAID gave over a billion dollars to our sworn enemies the Taliban. That is just unacceptable.

Finding the waste and grift requires letting the IA system have access to the records. The far left that wants to keep wasting tax money on nonsense is fearmongering over access to records because they want to keep wasteful spending going.

I suspect that if more national leaders were asked about it, like this president was, the media would find a lot more support. Our embassies have been complaining that much of the stuff theat USAID has been funding lately has been upsetting host governments.

Europe's farmers have aptly described the green agenda as "climate communism". As I recall, the "green" party block in the EU parliament was the biggest loser of seats in the last European election. That former president of the Caech republic was spot on when he called climate alarmism "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today." Any party working to run these thugs out of office is to be congratulated.

When Biden left, the economy was drowning in debt with a massive budget deficit as well as a huge trade deficite. OUr national debt doubled under Biden and as a percent of GNP it was getting to be borderline unsustainable. Employment numbers were cooked and they constantly had to be revised downward by a lot at a later point. New jobs were mostly part time or for illegal aliens, and among American citizens the percentage in the workforce declined. Indlation skyrocketed. No, the economy was most definitely NOT in good shape. Another four years of that and we would resemble what Germany went through in 1923.

USAID in more recent years has a history of attacking western culture and promoting the woke ideology and the globalist ideology. That is not what it was intended to do, or what it did most of its existance. If you look at what they are spending money on now it is mostly wasteful and unnecessary and needs to be eliminated.
Commented: Friday, February 7th, 2025 @ 5:29 am By: Concerned Taxpayer
OUr country has a crushing level of debt that doubled under Biden and threatens our economy. We simply have to get spending under control. DOGE under Musk is a great effort to identify wasteful and unnecessary spending so we can eliminate it to get our national budget in order.

Wikipedia, however, is not a federal government operation so it is not part of what DOGE is looking at. It is very clearly biased and should be avoided if people want accurate information.

Building that mega-school is not about what's best for education in Beaufort County. I tis about what looks best for Cheeseman's resume for when he tries to move up to a higher paying job at a bigger school system. Cheeseman was not about to do any professional studies that would send the money elsewhere in the system, nor was he going to allow input from the peasants (public) that might also derail his resume enhancement. He did not even bring legal counsel into the process, which led to that fiasco about the 4 acres. It was ALL about Cheeseman and his resume, not about edcuation in our county.

Unfortunately, Cheeseman has had a pack of rubber stamps in the majority on the school board who just sat back and said "yes, boss". On top of that was the corrupt arrangement of two school board members with husbands on the county commission. It was a confict of interest and completely unethical for them to vote on any of these matters.

USAID was interfering in domestic American politics, not only by funding the leftwing "Politico" but also funding US-based censorship groups that were targeting conservative news outlets. Not only does USAID need to be shut down but those who ran it need to be ptrsecuted for their diversion of taxpayer funds to domestic political purposes. They need to be in prison. www.thegatewaypundit.com

The recipients of USAID money are not just foreign wokesters. The leftist Democrat propagnada sheet "The Politico" published in Washington, DC. received $81 million from USAID. How is THAT "foreign aid"???

More Democrat fear mongering from the far left narrative there, Little Bobbie. Trump has made it clear that Social Security and Medicare are protected. But why is Bobbie now deflecting to protect career bureaucrats? Musk wants a full audit, and that is absolutely called for with what he found. It looks like Bobbie is just a Big Government groupie.

Appalling. I suspect that there is a lot more rot in our bureaucracy. It is a good thing we have DOGE on the job to find it.

Illegal aliens are a huge burden on taxpayers, but the Biden regime was paying groups to help them on their journeys to the US and then take care of them when they got here. That is outrageous. There needs to be a thorough accounting of this misspent money and some prosecutions over it.

Little Bobbie still does not get it. This plan was concocted in the back room by Cheeseman and his cronies, and designed more to benefit his resume than benefit the students of Beaufort County. Other school board members were largely kept in the dark as was the public. There were no public hearings or public participation in what was needed. Cheeseman and his cronies not only cut other school board members out of the process, but also excluded the public. This was government in the backroom at its worst. And operating this way they screwed up royally on that 4 acre tract.

To fix that blunder, they did another rotten backroom deal that ripped off county taxpayers for a half million dollars. There was more backroom politics by another power clique on the county commission that excluded those not in the clique from participation. Instead of trading land the county had no use for at the old P.S. Jones School, which would have cost the county nothing, they threw away a quarter million of county taxpayer money and a quarter million of tax money controlled by the school board. One wonders what the hidden agenda of the shawdowy power cliques were on that one. It clearly bodes ill for the taxpayers.

Our Beaufort County deep state is as devious and sinister as the one at the national level, and it depends on weak elected officials who allow themselves to be manipulated by bureaucrats.
Commented: Monday, January 27th, 2025 @ 8:30 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
Little Bobbie does not get it. The waste of half a million dollars of taxpayer money on this 4 acre boondoggle should be a HUGE concern to all taxpayers and voters. That is real money in a counry our size.

In government, the best pay for elected officials to collborate is to openly discuss issues among themselves. That does not happen on either the school board or county commision because of little power cliques which want to control things and not let any elected official outside of their clique have any meaningful input. Both power cliques are heavily influenced if not outright controlled by bureaucrats, the school superintendant and county manager. Those bureaucrats are supposed to carry out policy, not make it. We seem to have our own little mini "deep state" right here in Beaufort County.
Commented: Monday, January 27th, 2025 @ 5:19 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
It is patently obvious that our school system is not well run. An overbearing superintendant seems to be part of the problem, but so are those members of the school board who fail to do their jobs to stay on top of things. It would seem like they also need to find an attorney closer to home. Taxpayers got soaked by their incompetence on this school construction boondoggle.
Commented: Monday, January 27th, 2025 @ 4:49 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
While it is clear that the school board attorney was AWOL on this, way off in Durham, the other question is, where in the heck was the county commission attorney?????? This whole boondoggle is a comedy of errors. Attorneys are the ones who are supposed to keep it straight.
