We spend abut 30 percent of our time during County Commissioner meetings dealing with the basics of government---safety education and trash collection. The rest is spent on give aways and helping people, who, for the most part, want government to do everything for them. Socialism/communism is here in Beaufort County.

The issue of using huge sums of money to buy any canned teaching program is an issue in its self. The issue of the socialist and communist indoctrination in these programs is an even bigger issue. Our children should be taught the basics in public school without the indoctrination into socialism and communism.

When superintendents and boards of education vote for this crap they are telling us they support socialism and communism. This is serious business.

The effort opposing the Hillsdale program originated from Cheesman an the liberal faction of thee school board. We are a free country. Anyone can request changes in legislation and new legislation. It is the woke activists (Cheesman and his activist buddies on the school board) who oppose this legislation.

Setting the record straight, Cheesman and the board have been offered the Hillsdale program for more than three years. His comments in the article published in the Washington Daily News are intended to mislead. Cheesman knows all about the Hillsdale studies. That is why liberals like him are opposed to it.

I have great respect for Insurance Commissioner, Kike Causey. He as never lot us down. We need to follow his advice. Both Blue Cross and the hospital industry are too powerful in the legislature. They are using money, money and money against the average citizen.

It is a big deal for all newly elected and appointed members of board and commissions to become a member of that club. Become an insider and make those decisions in the back room. The goal of corrupt chairmen and a club members is: no discussion, only come to the meetings to vote. The school board and county commissioners are eat up with this version of false loyalty.

John Steed, you are right on target. Charging a few school officials as parties to the crime would do a lot of good. There is very little protection in the law for aiding criminal acts.

The Feds made a disasterous move when the guaranteed the big depositors money. This has never happened before. They did this because of the big deposits make by "influential" people. There is no way the Fed can guarantee everybody's money. Those who did this should be removed from their jots. This feeds inflation.
