No I did not; "not that there was anything wrong with it." I was, instead, dodging tear gas canisters until I formed an interest in what I noticed to be individuals that not appear to be part of the group, but who were shouting instructions to the smaller sectors of the crowd as to make them belligerent, and not remain peaceful.

I think it is time to end this conversation. I don't want the FBI to go Full Trump on me, my family or my friends. Who can stand that ... obviously President Trump has withstood it.

A lone tear streaked downward across my right cheek when I read this restorative news ... Be free Bison Boy, "run free," and never again may they coral your blithe spirit to roam.

Stan: I just read your dissertation about losing the local school districts website business, and how your county's taxpayers on the hook for a bunch more money to let that local business "far, far away" and I think I got your problem figured out, even though it is too late to do anything about it now.

Now Stan, you know that I have known you a very long time, and I do respect your integrity as someone that knows you, and someone that has read most of what you write here, but my good friend, you have to understand that losing that business is your own fault, and it you want someone to blame go haul your ass to mirror and take a good long look at your conservative Republican self.

Stan, you are a smart guy, and you should know by now that these county schools are mostly run by Democratic, which sounds like it is the case in your Beaufort County, and no good Democratic is going to do business with you when they can place that business with some Democratic business, even if it is "far, far away," and for significantly more money. So, here is the solution even if it is a bit too late for the learning.

Why don't you drop all that integrity stuff that you just can't seem to quit, and join up with the Democratics? There you go, problem solved. You can then promise the moon, deliver so much less, and walk away far richer than you probably are now.

Or, be like that "Fake Frankie" fellow that I read about when that Hood fellow writes those articles that I also enjoy reading; then you get to stay a Republican, but vote like a Democratic; keep the local business, and who knows maybe these Democratic school fellows might even pay you the additional $"16,900.00" too much. Heck, its only the people's money, and when have Democratics ever cared about that inconvenient reality?

Of course, here in Wilkes County, Georgia, there is big change a happening, where Republicans are getting most of the vote now, and they are voting only for those real kind of Republicans like yourself, so that might not last too long if Beaufort County starts changing over to that real side of living as free folk.

I got another idea Stan, maybe you should move here. It is mighty pleasant in these north Georgia hills. Heck, I might even enjoy your company ... that is if you promise not to ever take my advice about that recent nonsense about you turning Democratic.

We could use another real Republican down here. You could be one of our county commissioners, plus most folks like doing business with you real types down here.

If you want to build your "platforms" down here too, you should not have any trouble doing business. On that, my friend, your little company is in a league of its own.

The Democratics are way ahead of the Republicans in political tactics, who may not survive as a political party if they do not change to more like the cohesive Democratics.

What the Republicans must immediately learn to do is find a Marxist Billionaire, who will fund campaigns for Marxist District Attorneys in large donations; then, and this is brilliant, only prosecute Republicans, or hardworking moderate Democrats and Independents, and let your base of voters go free in almost all cases.

The one thing I now know is that the Democratics truly know how to think "out of the box."

Think about it: What if Republican District Attorneys only prosecuted mostly Democratics, putting Democratics away for marginal crimes, or just investigating the felonies and various treasons that are known, or widely suspected.

Why aren't Republicans resourceful enough to develop highly functional prosecutorial apparatuses such as the Democratics?

Could it be that there are far more sleazy Democratic lawyers than Republican lawyers?

Could it also be that the fewer Republican lawyers are not as corruptably sleazy?

Think about it: Brett Kavanaugh or Merrick Garland: Who would you trust?

Overspending for dire domestic needs, such as paying people not to work, is a brilliant plan to keep Democratics in office.

Think about it, all these Democratics have to do is continue as a unified front, spend for programs that only provide for their base of support, and they remain in office ... Simply brilliant ... even Mr Biden gets it.

Thanks for not running down Washington, Georgia.

You can say whatever you want about Washington, North Carolina, and I would not care the least, but Washington, Georgia was my home, a fine part of my life that I will never return to, and I want to remember it that way.

Thanks for the reference. Outside of Stan paying me some mind, I often feel forgotten out here in the wilds of Blounts Creek.

"American Sniper" has dropped from No. 1 to No. 2, surrendering its to box office position to something about square sponges. I won't be reviewing that film ... ever.

Still the Chris Kyle biopic has amassed a U.S. box office of $282,265,000.00, and now, as it is released worldwide, another $79,000,000.00 outside the U.S., for a total of $361,265,000.00

I pray the film does not instruct the Jihadis how to find the path to become real men. Then again, a film about Chris Kyle might teach Islamist murderers how to not murder innocent women and children for sport and ambition.

To date, "American Sniper" has made 242.2 million in domestic box office alone, and the film did it in one of the slowest months of the year.

Congratulations to Director Clint Eastwood and Actor /Producer Bradley Cooper for a job well done.

I just wrote the review because I believed it would be a good review to write.

It is just a fine film. I, for the the life of me, don't understand why Liberals are doing all this belly aching. Just accept the fact that they made a movie folks want to see.

It does always seem to work out that way.

In Beaufort County, there is burgeoning industry dedicated to the pofits of the special interests - benefactors: scrupulous politicians and good ole, very connected, boys.

And who pays? The taxpayer does ... silly.

It was a good film ... much better than I thought it would be.

Furthermore, I am astounded at how well read this review is - Stan told me it had 1561 unique views in its first 23 days since uploaded.

Wow. "50/50" must be a popular film, because Stan says we have never had this much traffic on any article in its first 23 days - some kind of a run rate thing that your husband gets so excited about.

Clint would never stoop to politics at this level; however, I have read some of his opinions on issues: very Libertarian until it comes to national defense.

He is about 80 years old, but his mother is still alive, so longevity is in his genetic makeup.

Plus, even at 80, Clint is a tough old dude, and a smart guy, with such a purposeful delivery of motive.

If he ran the executive branch of the federal government like he runs his movie sets, very pragmatic, we could at least move in the right direction.

I read it the same way ...

Realistically, this is now a three man race - Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.

I use to think Newt was brilliant, now I'm not so sure anymore. The Rick Perry story is really sad. I just feel so embarrassed for him. The question is: Will he get the stupid vote?

There are many people who are intimidated by clarion thought. For them, Rick Perry could just be their candidate.

Commented on I Melt with You

Some of us certainly had to in my generation, and then there was ... the hippies.

Any you know, some of them that I met, then knew were really nice guys; however, they just did not get the big picture, which often is just the duty and sacrifice for the greater good, which sometimes is rather nebulous. Still, when one is called they must answer.

Sometimes I believe just answering that call my be a very big part of the greater good. Regardless, you have to serve somebody. I believe Dylan said that.

Commented on I Melt with You

Of the 129 minutes of the film's run time, about 25 minutes was of men crying or fixing to cry, and the most notable emotional response elicited from me was: What a passel of pussies.

There was no crying on the Ticonderoga during 'Nam. Even when one our buddies did not return from a mission, we suffered in silence, and maybe that is not what one should do - keep it all bottled up, but on the other hand, grown men can't walk around all teary eyed, remorseful, when there is a job to be done.

Commented on I Melt with You

I fully realize that it is considered bad form to kick something when it's down, but something inside me wants to scream out: What were you thinking about by making a movie with the title, "I Melt with You"?

And if anyone had any question about the titular phrase, where it came from, they played the song during the credits. If one knows anything about this insipid song by Modern English, you have to know in is anything but inspirational ... really bad music, terrible, talent less drivel.

The film really was doomed as soon as the script was written. One still has to question: Just why was this film made?

Dave,

One must admit that this distribution arrangement is far removed from the days, when the mantra, "pot is groovy ... man" was espoused from the lips of every self-indulgent hippie from the sixties, and early seventies.

I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time. At least the music was pretty cool. Guns, and big money is not cool.

You're a good mother Lynn, and you well understand that there is more to life than constantly competing for some future prize that may never materialize. Competing is good but it too has its limits.

Stan is so fortunate that you are such an attentive mother.

Rarely do I find films with low production quality interesting. On occasion, if the story is well prepared and the dialogue has an edge to it, I generally find favor in it.

Certainly, "Blue Valentine" was not that film.

Commented on The Fighter

I just saw the fighter on DVD. Decent film: good acting, unique story, but I was more taken by the subplot of Mickey Ward's 7 impossibly ugly sisters.
How can there be so much genetic damage in just one family that the senior Wards could sire so many hideously ugly siblings for the great fighter?
Maybe it was their classic white trash demeanor that sealed that perception with me. Possibly, but man were they ugly.
