This is an excellent article laying out the facts and outcomes depending on how the SCOTUS rules in this case. To be quite honest, I don't think they have what it takes to render a just decision in this case because they either don't understand the full ramifications of a ruling against the baker, or they are unwilling to put their own political activism and bias aside to advance an agenda that will challenge the truth. I say this because I listened to the Oral Argument and surprisingly the justices kept comparing race to homosexuality as if they are equal and that is false. One is an immutable trait and the other is behavioral. They kept making the mistake again and again. This is also a court that found a right to same sex marriage in the Constitution when it is not even remotely part of the Constitution. I think they want Christians to be just as deceived as they are but that is not going to happen. Christianity is all about the truth and The People must hold SCOTUS accountable to the truth if they try to force people to accept lies as truth. I think at least five of the justices should be impeached for lying to America.

So excited about this great news. I am curious what place did Solar and Wind play in the economic growth of our economy since 2011? It is my understanding that 1 billion in tax credits which result in tax dollars heavily reimbursing solar and wind industry projects is money going out with not much ROI for the state. It would seem that this would cause a little drag on the economy because tax dollars were applied to a technology that is not as efficient as we were led to believe. The windmills outside Pasquotank and Perquimons Counties are only producing 75% of the energy that was first estimated. Meanwhile electric bills are increasing to subsidize the Power companies complicated system to manage the grid with solar/wind tied into it. Higher electric bills is going to increase both business and family expenses. Has anyone factored in what would have happened in our economy if this was not present, as well as the impact, if any, to future growth due to the solar/wind industry factor? Supposedly Germany is suffering from the burden economically of having invested heavily into renewables creating a burden on business and families power bills escalating, thus resulting in an exodus from their country. California is also supposedly suffering from similar renewable energy unforeseen negative impact which may have heavily contributed to the bankrupt financial system in that state. Just want to know what is being done to ensure we don't over invest in renewable energy initiatives and state mandated requirements that could drive up costs even further than the most recent increase, which was sizeable?

Read this article to refresh your memory about who Steinburg told us he would do. Instead we have spent 1 billion dollars on Renewable energy, our electric bills are higher and the property taxes for the renewables was reduce to 20% due to an 80% tax discount. All the jobs created were temporary. Solar and Wind is not efficient and has caused other countries who invested heavy into this Ponzi scheme to face their music with the real results....citizens and jobs leaving due to the excessive electric bills and drain on economy. Blessings and I hope this helps people in their search when considering whether we want to continue having Bob Steinburg represent us here in North East North Carolina. His opponent, Clark Twiddy was raised here in North Carolina, VMI Graduate and Naval Intel Officer for 9 years. Twiddy Reality is the a family business which employs over 170 employees. I encourage everyone to meet Mr. Twiddy in person. He is polite, composed while under fire, a gentleman, father, husband, concerned citizen and a Christian. He holds dear conservative values and wishes to take those to Raleigh as our Senator for District 1. God Bless

In 1969, The U.S. House of Representatives voted for a national popular vote by a 338–70 margin. It was endorsed by Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and various members of Congress who later ran for Vice President and President such as then-Congressman George H.W. Bush, and then-Senator Bob Dole.

Past presidential candidates with a public record of support, before November 2016, for the National Popular Vote bill that would guarantee the majority of Electoral College votes and the presidency to the candidate with the most national popular votes: Bob Barr (Libertarian- GA), U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R–GA), Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO), and Senator Fred Thompson (R–TN).

Rich Bolen, a Constitutional scholar, attorney at law, and Republican Party Chairman for Lexington County, South Carolina, wrote:"A Conservative Case for National Popular Vote: Why I support a state-based plan to reform the Electoral College."

Very true, the school board appears indifferent to what parents or citizens have to say. When you are presenting your point of view you are looking at faces that display their boredom with your presentation.

I have been asking the question " How does an enlisted people" respond to an "officer people" when given an order? You can no longer say "yes sir or no sir" and I expect you would be drawn and quartered for saying "yes mam or no mam.

It is a shame in this day and age that individuals can be so self-centered. Never in my 82 years have I seen such self-absorption with individuals. The part the gets to me the most is that the citizens have no input whatsoever. Most of you know of my military service but let me say that in no way would I want to be in a shootout with these folks at my side.

I have been busy the past week getting ready for meetings at work so I had not read any of the articles here recently. Last night, January 14th, the Board of Commissioners held a special called meeting to vote on this land issue. When it was over the City of Washington got their cake and ate it too.

The City was paid $125,000 an acre for some really horrible low wet land. They also got to keep the park they have behind the old PS Jones School. The county could have just given them the park and the City would have been happy, but we let them have the park and paid them $500,000 of your tax dollars too.

I thought this land swap issue was a no brainer. Everyone I have spoken to said the same thing as me, swap the land. The City has already put a park and bathrooms on it. They have effectively taken control of it, why not make it formal?

The county continues to spend money on stupid stuff. 4.7 million for wi-fi water meters, 2 million for a building they sold for 1 million, $190,000 for a COVID trailer, and on and on and on. So we spend money stupidly. My grammer isn't always the best but hopefully you get what I mean.
