Raleigh-based PrecisionHawk staffer highlights technology's commercial uses


    RALEIGH     Six times as many drones could be flying above our heads as commercial airplanes within the next five years. Growth in use of drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, is generating increased interest in safety and regulatory issues.

    Tyler Collins, director of business development for Raleigh-based PrecisionHawk, focused on the commercial potential of drones during a speech Monday for the John Locke Foundation's Shaftesbury Society.
