Lithuania enacts law to push illegals who cross border back out of country | Eastern NC Now

Finland and Estonia drafting similar laws

ENCNow

When the migrant crisis first hit Lithuania in 2021, their conservative government's Interior Minister issued a decree to border guards to push any illegal alien who made it across the border back into neighboring Belarus.  Lithuania's parliament has now enshrined that policy into its immigration law.

Some other European countries such as Hungary have been using this policy longer than Lithuania, although Hungary does give illegal aliens a brief pro forma hearing before a magistrate before kicking them out..  At least two other European countries, Finland and Estonia are currently drafting legislation to also put the push back policy against illegal aliens into law.

This would also be a good common sense policy for the United States.
