Will RINO legislative leaders betray GOP voters on Medicaid expansion? | Eastern North Carolina Now

Roy Cooper and the Democrats have been pushing the Obamacare Medicaid expansion for years and pushing it hard.  Unfortunately, some legislative RINOs are starting the crack, especially among the House and Senate leadership.  If they cave, it may pass this session.

A new poll from Civitas shows that 58% of Republicans oppose it, and when it is fully explained, 65% oppose it.

Will Phil Berger, Tim Moore and the others stab their own voters in the back to do a deal for Cooper?  They did on repealing the bathroom privacy bill HB2 and on adopting Greta Thunberg's Green New Deal.  Unfortunately, this one could happen, too.

The state senator that Beaufort County inherited with redistricting, Jim Perry is in the thick of this one.  Perry is a bought and paid for spear carrier for Big Medicine which sees dollar signs in this legislation.  There are some other GOP legislators who are in the hip pocket of Big Medicine special interests.

So, GOP legislators, do you represent your constituents or do you represent the special interests?  Those who prostitute themselves to special interests need primaries next time of if they have one, to be defeated in this year's primary.
