EV affordable? Chevy volt | Eastern NC Now

Repair ticket

ENCNow

Best I can find on line is a Chevy Volt new is running about $41,000.  This is the repair ticket estimate to replace the battery and add some coolant.

I know some people that could afford that and not bat an eye, but they are few and far between.  I would guess 99% of us could not easily afford this.

The estimate for repairs is almost as much as the loan on my house 39 years ago.
