"crucified and abandoned" by Dems after voting for GOP school choice bill

ENCNow

Georgia State Representative Mesha Mainor is a black woman who was a lifelong Democrat and represents a district in Atlanta.  When she voted for a GOP bill to promote school choice to help expand education opportunities for the struggling children in her urban district,  Rep. Mainor says she was "crucified and abandoned" by members of her Democrat Party.  She responded by announcing that she had switched her party affiliation to Republican.  "This is not a political decision for me", she declared, "It is a moral one. . .  The most dangerous thing to the Democratic Party is a black person with a mind of their own."
