FT WAYNE, IN     A local father of two is reported to have told one of the most thrillingly epic bedtime stories in recent history during a recent bedtime. According to sources, Ryan Flenderson sat down last night with his kids Calvin and Cynthia and spun a yarn unlike anything they had heard before. His children were entranced by a story of heroism, magic, and mystery that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

"Listen, my children, and I will tell you of a great hero who traveled through time to save a kingdom with the power of an ancient sword called the, uh... 'Faster Sword'," said Flenderson to his wide-eyed children. "But will he be in time to defeat an evil villain from a far-off desert realm who will stop at nothing to collect the three golden pieces of a powerful, um... Time Stone, and plunge the realm into darkness?"

Several experts, however, have called the originality of this story into question. Upon closer inspection, story analysts discovered some troubling similarities between Ryan's story and the plot of the 1998 Nintendo 64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

"It's pretty much the same story, beat for beat," said Chad Bradley, another local dad familiar with the situation. "Unfortunately, I don't believe there are any rules when it comes to this whole Dad thing, or any code governing the originality of our bedtime stories. So there's nothing we can really do here."

According to an informant from inside the family, the Flenderson kids are clueless as to the possible video game origins of the story being told by their father. They are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the epic tale of Bink as he journeys to save Princess Belda from the evil clutches of Banondorf.
