All areas north of the Pamlico River, as well as areas north and west of Vanceboro and Blounts Creek are now forecasted to receive between 2" and 3" of snow.

The roadways in the western part of Beaufort County are icy and sleet covered. The trees and powerlines are coated with ice and small limbs are falling as a result of the wind.

Secondary Roads are extremely icy this morning, with Primary roads having slick spots on them. The NWS has extended the Winter Storm Warning for Beaufort County until 4:00pm today.
