It is not just gasoline prices that Biden is trying to send into the stratosphere, but also electric rates. Biden is trying to shut down cheap and reliable coal generation and subsidize expensive and unreliable wind and solar to replace. How much more expensive? A recent contract for offshore wind energy signed by the Long Island Power Authority is a good example. They are currently paying $35 per MegaWatt/ hour for convention electricity, but their contract with South Fork Wind Project, a foreign owned operation, half of its construction cost paid by American taxpayers, commits them to start paying $160.00 per MegaWatt / hour beginning in 2023 and rising to $235 per MegaWatt hour in 20 years. Paying four and a half times what coal / gas / nuclear powered electricity costs is not in the interests of their customers, who will pay the freight for the difference. Biden (and Roy Cooper) want to foist similar ripoffs on us.

In this article he points out the huge and negative environmental impact of the huge quantity of worn out solar panels that it is impractical to recycle and which contain a cocktail of tozic substances which can leach into the groundwater.

Gas prices can get a lot worse. A former US Energy Secretary said on CNBC that oil could go over $100 a barrel under Biden policies and gas over $5 a gallon.

Hooray for the Swiss in fighting back against the climate alarmist boondoggle and just saying NO to the increased taxes demanded by these scam artists. I wish we could do the same with a referendum, but I am also mindful of how the French forced their president to back down on these "climate taxes". They took to the streets in massive protests, the so-called Yellow Vest movement, and basically shut down the country to force Macron to back down and repeal them. The US does not have provisions for a national referendum like the Swiss, so we may have to go the French route if Biden and the Democrats try to sock us with similar taxes.

In addition to gas prices, Biden is deliberately trying to drastically raise our electric rates. He is attacking coal and gas, two of the most efficient and economical sources of electricity, and at the same time wanting to massively subsidize the construction of the most expensive, offshore wind. Biden wants to pay developers, mostly foreign owned, half the cost of building these red herrings, then force American consumers to buy their product, whose cost is running three to four times what conventional electricity costs. Other drawbacks of offshore wind are destroying marine eco-systems, devastating sea bird populations, creating new vulnerabilities to hurricanes for our electric grid, destroying fishing grounds for our commercial fishermen, and threatening endangered species. Beijing Biden is working against American interests.

Like gas prices, Biden's policies will also cause a huge increase in electric rates. That is due to his pushing expensive and unreliable wind and solar electricity. Going gung ho on wind and solar is why Germany pays three timges as much for electricity as North Carolina. Biden is going to clobber the middle class economically.

Biden's tax plan will put heavier taxes on American businesses that operate in the United States than Communist China charges American businesses that operate there. That will drive manufacturing away from the US and to places like China. This plan is pro-China, not pro-America. The "Build Back Better" slogan comes from the neo-Marxism World Economic Forum's "Great Reset". Another slogan of the Great Reset is "you will own nothing and you will be happy".

North Carolina electric customers have already paid two billion dollars in rate overcharges from solar energy. We don't need any more of this crap or wind either. They are consumer ripoffs. Any legislator in their hip pocket needs to be tossed out of office. They are crooks.
