U.S. regulators approve lab-grown meat despite safety concerns | Eastern NC Now

US endangering of people continues

ENCNow

A recent UC Davis study found that the so-called “global warming” potential of lab-grown meat is between four and 25 times greater than the average for retail beef sold in stores, according to a report from the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences.

Other safety concerns regarding lab-grown meat include the use of unknown chemicals, microbial contamination, and mutations in the cells.

Potential health problems associated with the new product have to do with the cancer-promoting properties of cells that multiply in the process, as “consuming lab-grown meat with such faulty cell lines may have unwarranted effects on the human body, the exact effects remain unknown,” News Medical points out.

A recent Bloomberg report revealed that lab-Grown meat is made from “immortalized” cancer cells.

The same cells used to “produce vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and other biotherapeutics” are now being used to make the unnatural meat substitute, according to a report.

Due to the nature of growing meat in labs, scientists must employ “immortalized” cancer cells, or cells that are technically “precancerous and can be, in some cases, fully cancerous.”

You cannot comprehend the difference between the government forcing you to put something in your body that is not properly tested and is likely harmful, like fake meat or an mRNA shot, and forcing you to put something in your car that is potential harmful to the car. Sheeple like you are a threat to the rest of us.

The clean air act (big brother), took the lead out of gas. Sometimes, we the people, do a good thing. Lab grown meat is a good thing. If it proves to be comparable to tortured animal slaughter house meat, it will indeed catch on. Hope it does.

OK, lets take that a step further. Instead of an oppressive big government dictating change that harms our existing cars, they dictate change that harms our own bodies. Should we stand still for that????

Its one thing for things to change on their own, but quite another for Big Brother to dictate change.

I'm familiar.
I think you missed the point. Things change. it upsets folks. You inparticullare sound like the old guys back then that wanted the lead in the gas and went on and on about a commie plot. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

You keep displaying your ignorance, Bobbie. While leaded gas will burn out a catalytic converter on cars equipped with them, lead is a lubricant for valves and valve seats on pre-1974 cars. Post-1974 cars have hardened valves and valve seats that do not need lead as a lubricant. That is why leaded gas continued to be sold in the US for many years and why in the UK, they sold (and I think some still sell) LRP, lead replacement petrol, which has a lead subsituture to lubricate valves and valve seats. It is why in any auto parts store in the US, you can find lead replacement additives and at classic car shows, even gallon jugs of "real lead". It is also why Avgas for aircraft whose engines work harder and failure would be more catastrophic, still contains lead. Many boaters also want lead in their gas or a lead subsitute for the same reason. They also do not want ethanol in their boat gas.

The same problem exists with ethanol in gas, which is corrosive to some engine parts. Newer cars are made with different materials to avoid the corrosion. With lower levels of ethanol in gas, it may take a long time to do any damage, but the high level ethanol gas can damage an older engine rather quickly.

Bet you said the same thing about unleaded gas back in 70s. heheheh

You can eat all the potentially harmful fake meat you want, and get injected with all the mRNA shots you want, but don't try to force that garbage on other people.
