The differences between the Trump economy and the Biden-Harris economy are huge. There are 1.2 million fewer American citizens working today under Biden-Harris than there were when Trump left office. Anyone who buys food or gas or rents a home or apartment knows that prices have skyrocketed under Biden-Harris. We need the Trump ecomony BACK. Someone expounding on the details is NOT "going off the rails", Bobbie.

One has to be clueless on the way government operates to claim with a straight face that the budget is not political. It starts with a proposed budget bny the president. The House then passes a budget bill that is usually quite different from the president's proposal. Then the Senate votes on it and often changes it so it must return to the House. All in all, it is a very political process.
Whiel GDP, jobs numbers, or inflation are not political, the way of calculating them may be bent politically. The policies of the incumbent administration and Congress also impact all of them. The method of calculating inflation, for example, was modified some years ago so that the new method gives a lower number than the old method. Was the change politically motivated? What does common sense tell you? WOKE - won't be happy until we are all in the poorhouse.

The recent poor jobs report is what triggered both the Kamala Crash on the stock market and growing talk of a recession.

The working poor and middle class were a lot better off under Trump than under Biden-Harris. There biggest expenses, food, housing, and energy were stable under Trump but have skyrocketed under Biden-Harris. That has been caused by the radical Biden-Harris agenda on climate alarmism, open borders, and other things. And, Bobbie, your obsession with the rich shows your underlying Marxist nature.
Among the falacies of your economic statements: -the middle class are not doing well due to skyrocketing inflation - the stock market has been in the Kamala Crash the last few days; hedge funds are dumping lots of stocks and so is Warren Buffet; stock market gains under Trump were many multiples of gains under Biden-Harris, especially when adjusted for inflation, and the Kamala Crash may take them down to the point there are no gains at all under Biden-Harris - job increases under Biden-Harris have been almost all 1) part time jobs, and 2) jobs for illegal aliens; there is growing underemployment among working class Americans - real estate prices are up due to Biden-Harris open borders and this is clobbering the working poor and middle class who are renting, and also clobbering those trying to buy their first house. - energy PRICES are up significantly due to the Biden-Harris climate alarmist agenda

In real world America, unlike your alternative universe, the economy is not good for most Americans, as polls show. Anyone who has been to a grocery store or gas station would know that. Or paid an electric bill. Most new jobs created are either part time or for illegal aliens. Household debt is skyrocketing and savings depleted. The buying power of the dollar has declined at least 17% under Biden, and by some calculations (including things the official calculations ignore) it has declined over 20%. Unemployment is up and underemployment even more so. According to one of the widely regarded tests, we are now entering a recession. Hedge funds are dumping stocks.

Many seniors now pay federal income tax on as much as 85% of their Social Security benefits, which is a despicable governement ripoff. This proposal from Trump is HUGE.
Seniors should also be highly concerned about Kamala Harris. The Biden-Harris regime made moves to undermine Medicare Advantage which many seniors use, that will raise its cost and decrease its availability. Also, Harris was a cosponsor of Bernie Saunders bill to end private healthcare and private healthcare insurance. They call it "Medicare for All" but it would cheat seniors out of the Medicaid they have paid into all their working lives to give a more watered down program while covering those who have only paid into it a little or not at all, including illegal aliens. This is a major attack on senior health care by the most radical wing of the Democrat Party INCLUDING KAMALA HARRIS.

An event like a hurricane that tore up a bunch of these wind turbines as it went up the coast would dwarf the damage from the Exxon Valdese. It is not only the fiberglass shards, but there are toxic chemcials in the lubricants in the narcels, and indeed in the coatings on the blades, not to mention the continuing navigation hazzards
As to damage from ships, the environment is fortunate that that car carrier where a shipment of electric vehicles spontaneously combusted and set the ship on fire did not sink as feared in that critically sensitive marine preserve off of the Netherlands. Just good luck that the toxic crap did not end up there.

There are not ANY oil platforms off of either Nantucket or North Carolina, so that is an apples and oranges deflection, Little Bobbie.
Big pieces of the shattered turbine can be picked up if they float or wash up on the beach. If they sink close to shore, they will be found when somebody steps on them and cuts themselves severely. Small pieces, which can also do a lot of damage to beachgoers, are extremely difficult to find. Now imagine a hurricane comes along and shatters a bunch of these things. Finding all the pieces, big and small, is going to be next to impossible. This things need to be banned from our shoreline, or the required insurance needs to be in the stratosphere and cover and direct or indirect damage, including losses of tourism related businesses.

There is too much taxpayer money invovled here for any of them to take a powder. Cheeseman has little or no experience in this area of building schools. I guess that is why he is so desperate for this one for his resume. He can probably paper over a boondoggle. The taxpayers, on the other hand, will be stuck with it when he moves on.

Commented on Trump shot. Minor injury. Assassin shot dead by LEO.I wonder if we will ever see any manifesto or other documents of the shooter or if the FBI will cover them up? The FBI is so politicized that it will depend on whether or not such documents are harmful to Biden.
The FBI and their allies are still covering up the manifesto of the "transgender" shooter in that Tennessee school shooting, which has been years. The excuses given have been absurd. The FBI is trying, on behalf of Biden, to protect the "transgender" ideology. That coverup is purely political. When part of those documents were leaked to the "Tennessee Star" and they published them, the editor was cited into court for contempt even though there was no existing court order the editor violated. That was a sinister attempt to misuse the courts to enforce the coverup.

So, you think tax and spend ideas that give us galloping inflation are better than the ideas that gave us almost no inflation? You think ideas that make us dependant on other countries for our energy are better than ideas that had us energy infependent? A weak foreign policy that has made us the laughing stock of the world in your mind is better than the idea of a strong America? You think a massive influx of illegal aliens that puts a huge burden on taxpayers and brings rampant crime is better than having secure borders? You must be smoking something other than a tobacco product.
And there you go again trying to make a political issue out of the weather. When the world is in a long term natural warming cycle as we are, it gets warm, and past cycles have gotten warmer than it is today with NO long term problems. The oceans didn't rise and the polar bears didn't die out.

Searching honest search engines, the only "Winterville Elemenrary School" I find is in Winterville, Georgia. Do you mean Creekside Elementary School in Winterville, NC? It is a K-5 school, not K-3 like Cheeeseman's school, covering a larger range of grades than Cheeseman's and it has a bit over 600 students, a lot less than Cheeseman's school for 1,000. www.niche.com

Public schools are facing more competition. Building a monster sized school to warehouse children with likely worse outcomes is just going to make Beaufort County Schools less appealing and less competitive. Competition currently exists with surrounding county systems and with private and charter schools. Pamlico County is pulling lots of students from Beaufort County, but there are few students Beaufort County pulls from neighboring counties. When a student goes to school in a neighboring county, the state funding, thousands of dollars follows him or her.
Similarly, with the expansion of state Opportunity Scholarships, many parents will now have the ability to send their kids to private schools, and every time they do, that is more state funding per pupil that Beaufort County Schools loses. Would parents rather send their kids to be warehoused in Cheeseman's monster sized school or to a private school of managable size like Terra Ceia? The Cheeseman plan will drive students away from Beaufort County Schools and certaily not attract any newe ones. From my understanding, population projections are for Beaufort County's growth to be west of Washington toward the Pitt County line. A new school of managable size there would attract students from Pitt County to make up for those lost, with their state funding, to Pamlico County. But none of this matters to Cheeseman. He wants that huge elementary school on his resume. Even if Cheeseman insists on a huge school, eastern Washington is a really stupid place to build it. The lack of study and planning is glaring.

The school board, or at least its majority faction, IS the problem. They are feckless seat warmers who are sock puppets for a control freak superintendant. Mack Hodges, T.W. Allen, and Eltha Booth all need to go. If they had properly done their homework on long range school facility planning, we would not be stuck with this half-baked Cheeseman plan for a mega-school, which would be the largest K-3 elementary school in the state.

Tillis is responsible for the most economically destructive pieces of Biden economic legislation, the misnamed "Inflation Reduction Act" which should have been called the "Inflation Creation Act." The Democrats were able to pass that with a simple majority because Tillis and other RINOs helped Biden earlier pass his "Ingrastructure" Bill which contained a whole lot of spending that had nothing to do with infrastructure, by a 60+ vote margin. The Senate has one shot a year to pass a spending bill that does not require a fillibuster proof majority. The only reason the Democrats had that availible to pass the "Inflation Reduction Act" was that thats to Tillis and other RINOs, they had not had to use it to pass the "Infrastructure" bill.
Of course, Tillis has been a total Biden Republican when it somes to spending, debt, and taxes. We badly need to replace him in the next primary. Tillis is completely unacceptable.

If the idea was consolidation of GRADE LEVELS, it is better to change to 3 or 4 of the traditional K-6 elementary schools as neighborshood schools, with a new school west of Washington nearer the Pitt County line and renovations to other facilities. That would create the neighborhood schools we need, consolidate grade levels without monster schools, and update our school facilities. It would also save the public money that could be used for other, more pressing school needs like needed renovations at Chocowinity Elementary.
Putting a brand spanking new school close to the Pitt County line could also snag students away from Pitt County Schools, with state funding following those students who move. Pamlico County Schools have been snagging students and their state funding from Beaufort County for years. With a properly located new school, we could be doing the same to Pitt County. Beaufort County Schools problem is that they have a superintendant who is a control freak and this school project has been largely a one man show, and from an individual lacking the skill set to do what he is trying to do. It is pathetic that our school board majority is so weak and controllable. We do badly need some major changes there. We do not need a tail that wags the dog which is what we have now.

She asked the candidates to raise their hand if they agreed with her climate alarmist statement. Fortunately, the mics were not muted and Governor deSantis immediately challenged her on her postion, followed by Vivek Ramaswammy. With muted mics, they could not have done that, and a "raise your hand" format is an absurdity.

Commented on Eastern Elementary Construction, DisgustingThe issue here is proper and transparent financial planning for school construction, something we have had little of here in Beaufort County, something that goes back beyond those individuals involved in the current controversy. The last big bond issue saw very poor planning resulting in schools that are still half empty in some cases. This mega school shows the signs of the same jury-rigged process instead of proper planning. The fact that they are suddenly trying to move the actual location of the school on the property shows how totally inept the planning process was.
This issue is much bigger than Richardson or Cheeseman, "Bath Parent". Richardson is a politician and all politicians have their hits and their misses. Cheeseman is a career bureaucrat and career bureaucrats have their ways of looking at things that are often very different than the perspective of the taxpayers who pay the freight for government. I would not say Richardson is always right or Cheeseman always wrong, but the questions Richardson is asking on this issue are spot on, and are questions any competent person in management ought to be asking on such a project. What shocks me is so many of our elected school board members and county commissioners just sitting there like deer in the headlights on this $50 million plus project. Do they plan to blame it on someone else when it becomes a boondoggle? Clearly, "Bath Parent" you have a personal dislike of one person and project that onto any issue he takes a stand on. Most of us focus on the issue.

Commented on Eastern Elementary Construction, DisgustingThe lack of transparency, expert advice, and public input in the school facility planning is appalling. The secretive way that Cheeseman and his flunkies operate is nowhere near government in the sunshine. It is like we have Tammany Hall recreated right here in Beaufort County. It is very similar to the lack of transparency, and the secretiveness, and coverup of the recent vandalism at Washington High School.
I doubt the person who posts as "Bath parent" is actually from Bath since they have never commented about anything involving the Bath schools, and there have been some real issues there like the move to cancel the band classes in Bath. Why would someone from Bath care nothing about major issues with their own school but obsess about a planned school in another district? It appears that this is just a person with a severe case of Hood Derangement Syndrome, which is very similar to Trump Derangement Syndrome, which Little Bobbie suffers from.
