If you actually looked at the polls, the ideas of Trump and the Republicans match what the public wants, not those of Harris and WOKE. That is why Harris is trying to run a form over substance campaign of smoke and mirrors. Most recent poll showing the public in tune with Trump and Republicans was Gallup.

Lets look at illegal immigration, which polls show as number two and sometimes number one that the public is concerned about. Even the progressive NPR's poll showed 60% of Americans favor mass deportations, like Trump has proposed.

Kamala Harris' radical far left positions on a wide variety of issues, which would destroy our economy and society in the name of her far left ideology is bad enough. THe very worst, however is Walz and Harris' distrain for freedom of speech, the essential cornerstone of democracy, and their support of government censorship instead. She and Walz are a threat to our democracy. The Democrat blather about Trump is just that. He did a fine job, MUCH MUCH better than Biden and Harris, and has the record to prove it.

It was YOUR Democrats, of course, the same Democrats who imposed Jim Crow throughout the South as a political power play against the fusion movement, an alliance of the white small farmers of the Populist Party and the Republicans, which at the time included most of the black vote. It was that murderous power play of YOUR political party, Bobbie, the Democrats thta is responsible for all of that. Republicans throughout the South voted in their legislatures AGAINST Jim Crow.

In the antebellum South, among the 20% of the black population that was free, 10% of them owned slaves. They also owned businesses, plantations, farms, and other things. Here in Washington, a free black man owned a shipyard on the Pamlico River. Even in the era of slavery, there were successful property owning black North Carolinians. After the War Between the States, thriving middle class black communities such as the one in Wilmington developed.

Then the Democrats, your party, Bobbie, brought us Jim Crow in the 1899 and 1901 sessions of the legislature. That was not adopted along racial lines but along party lines, with the Republicans and Populists voting unanimously against Jim Crow, and your Democrats voting unanimously for it. Jim Crow was a partisan Democrat ploy to break up the alliance of Republicans and Populists which had won control of the legislature and the governorship in 1896. It is not white people as a whole that have guilt for Jim Crow, it is the Democrats who foisted it upon our state for their own political power. Another thing your Democrats did as part of that power grab in that period was the Wilmington riot, a pogrom against the thriving black middle class community in Wilmington.

Hmmm! They must have seen those polls showing Virginia getting competive and moved to try to protect Harris. These days Al Capone would probably be considered more honest than the DOJ or FBI.

Even if they block the removal, GOP poll watchers will have the names and can challenge them individually if they try to vote. They also should make a crimial referenal and have them arrested if they try to vote illegally.

Van Zant, I think you are correct about the point of having a Democrat Party official as county school board attorney being a serious issue. Cheeseman used this same liberal Democrat attorney to try to cut as much ground as he could from under the curriculum reform effort. They batted that back and forth to kill as much of it as they could.

When parents are trying to get "woke" out of our schools, the very last thing we need is the school board attorney being the chairman of a very woke political organization.

Democrat governor candidate Josh Stein is much farther from the center TO THE LEFT, than Robinson is from center to the right. If there is an extreme candidate ideologically in the governor's race, it is Democrat Stein. With Robinson as Lieutentant Governor, he has most often been too scared to take a stand on much any live issue, although he gives lofty oratory about generalities.

There are a number of things about Robinson, like his reluctance to take stands on real issues and his lackluster record in business that have given me pause about him, but when the alternative is far left Josh Stein, Robinson suddenly becomes more acceptable.

The state governments of Florida and Georgia pre-staged equipment, personnel, and supplies before the hurricane, sotmthing FEMA has done in the past but is not doing under Biden-Harris. FEMA is not doing it because Biden-Harris diverted a billion dollars of emergency response money to settle illegal aliens around the country. Now, Mayorkas says they are out of money and have none to deal with any other hurricanes. There ought to be a special prosecutor appointed to deal with this and send people to prison. People in western North Carolina are dying because of their woke pandering to illegal aliens who should not even be in the country.

There are academic studies quantifying pro-Democrat political bias by the major networks going back decades, and it only seems to get worse. That is why multiple polls show that the majority of Americans comprehend that the media is political biased and they don't trust it. Trust in major media by Americans has been sinking like a stone among Americans, although there is a higher trust level in local media.

As to hate, the biggest hate-fest I have ever seen was the 2024 Democrat National Convention. Instead of presenting policies, all they could do was spew hate.

Mike Pence was a decent although not outstanding Congressman, but a real dud as a governor, very wishy-washy. Many traditional conservatives like myself were not thrilled when Trump picked him for VP due to his very lackluster record as governor. Trump made a much better choice this time with J. D. Vance, althought choosing Ron deSantis would have been an even better choice.

There have been bad hurricanes throughout history. Hazel in the 1950s is an example that some probably remember. What made Helene so bad was that it ran into a stalled cold front that had already been dumping rain on the same area for days. Cold fronts stall all the time, too. This was just a bad sequence of events. All of that happening over bountainous terrain that is particularly prone to flooding was the other ingredient. CO2 had absolutely nothing to do with it except to the climate cult and their wacky narrative.
