The taxpayers of the US, UK, other European countries should NOT be putting illegal aliens up in luxury hotels, but that has been happening on a wide scale in the US, too, particularly in big northern cities. Subsidizing these deadbeats soaked up so much money in Biden's FEMA budget that they ran short for actual disasters like hurricanes.
SEnd them home.

The welfare costs for illegal aliens are enormous in all western countries. Illegal aliens should NOT be allowed to freeload off of taxpayers. European countries are being financially strangled with the burden of welfare costs for illegal aliens. In Germany, for example 63% of all welfare expenditures are to illegal alien "asylum seekers" and the amoung paid in those welfare checks is more than paid to German citizen senior citizens in their pensions. That is just appalling.

Europeans are seeing their nations being destroyed by mass migration and are trying to save them while they can. In some countries, the politicians are listening. In others, citizens are changing their politics to parties that do listen, like the continuing increase is support of the Alternativ fur Deutschland in Germany. AfD is already the main opposition party in the Bundestag and has increased its support since last year's election.

Commented on Stating the ObviousGlobalism is based on elitism. Their WEF confabs at Davos have lots of luxury private jets parked and lots of high end prostitutes ready for action. Yet they want to preach to the masses about "global warming" and eating bugs and worms instead of meat. Mass migration is one of their tactics to try to break down the nation-state. Their version of socialism or the Great Reset would resemble the comment of the leader of the pigs in Orwell's "Animal Farm" when he said "all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."

Commented on Stating the ObviousWill, that is the doctrine of globalism, which is the big totalitarian threat of the 21st century. Its big advocate is the World Economic Forum at Davos with their totalitarian "Great Reset". Fortunately, a wave of nationalism is sweeping the world to reject that totalitarian nonsense and globalism is in retreat.

Commented on Stating the ObviousI am surprised to see a defense of Biden's awful open borders policies presented on the BO. Legal immigrants, the only ones lawfully defined as "immigrants" have to go through extensive vetting and medical testing in their home countries before they are approved to come to America. There are limited slots and in some countries they are difficult to get. These are the TRUE immigrants, in the mold of those who built America, not the illegal aliens who thumb their noses at our immigration laws and take it upon themselves to illegally crash our borders. These are different groups which should be treasted differently.
A legal immigrant has to have an American sponsor to sign an affidavit of support to provide the needs of the immigrant if he or she is unable to do so for themselves. An illegal alien, on the other hand is a freeloader who leans on the American taxpayer to subsidize him or her. Freeloading illegal aliens cost Americans in a lot of ways other than just through taxes. Our medical costs have skyrocketed due to illegal alien freeloaders who do not pay their bills, and the hospital losses are pushed onto paying patients. That jacks up our medical bills and our health insurance premiums. Germany is a good example of the enormous cost of these illegal alien migrants, Illegal alien "asylum seekers" now account for 63% of German welfare spending. And remember when FEMA had no funds for hurricane relief last year? The Biden regime had spent that FEMA money on illegal aliens and that is why it was not there for hurricane relief. What part of "illegal" do you not understand, Bill Lee?

Commented on Judicial coup continues - crooked Obama judge tries to give asylum rights to all illegalsAsylum has always been a racket all over the western world. Many of these illegal aliens who claim to be afraid of their home countries, go there on vacation, spending the welfare money they get from western countries. In many parts of Europe, and Germany and France are the worst, there are attempts to criminalize opposition to mass migration. In France, a French senator was arrested for "hate speech" for posting online "immigration Kills" after a brutal murder and rape of a French girl by an illegal alien.
The globalists are no different than the communists or nazis on suppressing free speech. The most dangerous totalitarians of today owe their allegiance to Davos and the WEF.

Thom Tillis is also bought and paid for on illegal immigration and amnesty by the corrupt crony capitalists of the US Chamber of Commerce. If the GOPe is foolish enough to nominate that suck-up again, they will lose the Senate seat and the hurt is likely to go on down the ballot because the Republican base is absolutely sick of Tillis and will stay home. Republicans cannot afford to have Tillis at the top of their ticket in 2026 or they will pay a heavy price for that across many races.
Don Brown seems like the kind of change the GOP needs.

Making sanctuary cities and counties liable for harm done by the illegal aliens they cover for is a big incentive for these places to drop those practices. It will make their insurance premiums go through the roof. However, this bill only deals with liability of sanctuary counties in our own state. We need liability for sanctuary cities, counties, and states outside North Carolina which release illegal aliens who come here and do harm. We should remember that the Tren de Aragua murdered of Laken Riley in Georgia was a criminal in New York which protected him from ICE deportation and helped him get to Georgia. A North Carolinian harmed by an illegal alien protected by a sanctuary jurisdiction anywhere in the country ought to be able to sue the sanctuary jurisdiction, no matter where they are.

Hopefully, the military will get robust rules of engagement on use of force. Troops should be allowed to use any level of force against the insurrectionists, including deadly force, if there is any possibility of the insurrectionists doing harm to civilians or to troops or police. For example, if an insurrectionist is about to throw a Molotov cocktail into a building that may be occupied, a soldier should be able to shoot the insurrectionist dead to prevent possible harm of a civilian who might be present.
