Mr. Brown knows something about the law side of government, and I do as well, and I am voting on election day (as I always do) for Mr. Don Brown to better serve our public.

As someone who knows how government works at all levels, let me tell you the essence of what I learned from the business I retired from: Government is interlinked and connected.
After moving to Beaufort County, I essentially wanted to know how the local governments operated, especially the county government, which is by far biggest gorilla in a small room, so to speak. What I learned from that evaluation is that Stan Deatherage, along with that Hood fella, stands head and shoulders above all the rest, therefore, Commissioner Deatherage, you have my non elected endorsement similar to the one Mr. Fritz so generously awarded you in the last few days. |

Commented On Safety in our Schools
Great analysis. Our Board and Administration has allowed funding to be wasted by adding more Admin employees. These funds should have been used for school safety. Nothing is more important than the safety of our children. We should have school resource officers, school nurses, and mental health professionals available to deal with such emergencies, and funds should be avail for these positions in addition to needed security features at the doorways.

Thank you for correcting me for my lack of understanding of your actions and statements. I know you from your appearances on the Commissioner's Meetings and your statements on this site. You don't know me! I am not a liberal progressive using tactics "right out of the ultra liberal socialist play book" or the "liberal play book". I am also not an ultra conservative who hides behind the same fear mongering as the ultra left. I am also not intimidated by the rhetoric of either side. President Trump is my president, and his policies by and large reflect my vision of the direction America should be headed. He makes some outrages statements at times, and that is frustrating to me. But he is getting most of his Agenda for America done.
My hope is that you could concentrate on all the people of Beaufort County, conservative and liberal, republicans and democrats and unaffiliated to get done what is the best for our county without labeling them. Once elected you are a representative of all the people not just the "party". Thank-you and I look forward to all of my commissioners working together to keep Beaufort County Great! |

And, since you didn't ask any questions, that makes you as worthy of your criticism as everyone else. And while I am at it, just what have you done in 14 years to help the citizens of Beaufort County. You have contributed to the 22 percent increase in taxes by not offering a. a better alternative or b. a compromise. You have duped your supporters into thinking you have tried to save them money on their taxes, when all you've done is cast a no vote to issues that were going to pass anyway and you knew it. You can't take credit for protecting your supporter's money when you have not provided wise financial counsel other than "I am not voting for that, and I'll tell you why." And your why is simply that you don't want to, or you don't like the person(s) who submitted the idea or it looks like you voted to not raise taxes. I for one, see you as the sham you are. And I hope the new board of commissioners is not foolish enough to elect you as the new chairman. OR maybe they should and then your tenure as commissioner will come to an abrupt end as your total lack of leadership and wisdom will be further exposed. |

It seems you are playing a dishonest game of semantics, because I’m sure you know the definition of integrity: “a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcomes.” Despite what you say, obviously, you were questioning my father's integrity by saying in your letter to Mr. Richardson, "Apparently Stan does not believe that he is accountable to the voters." Again, you questioned his integrity, in your comment below, by saying that you were attacking my father’s 'responsiveness,' 'reasonableness,' and 'objectivity.' It scares me a little that you would try to manipulate a fact pertaining to your own behavior; since, in your profession, you are trusted to help rearrange the thoughts and behaviors of others. Just admit it: You were questioning his integrity; and, now, I’m questioning yours. |

The anonymous mailings on Ashley were illegal because they had no disclosure disclaimer telling who was responsible for the piece. Since the two mailings were illegal, I never expected you to admit to knowing anything about them. Not because I think you wouldn't do it and not because I don't think you wouldn't just silently sit back when you knew someone was doing it.

For a man of your years you are not a good judge of character. Do your own research instead of relying on a proven liar’s word. Look at the court case I referred to in my first article. Are you calling federal Judge Dever a liar? Look at Ernie’s published comments in the WDN and WITN where he said nothing happened and both Deputies lied. Both Deputies won their civil cases costing the county hundreds of thousands of dollars in the settlement plus hundreds of thousands in attorney fees and other costs driving the total cost above one million I am sure. I published my information within weeks of people bringing it to my attention. I did not choose the timing of the settlement or when the staff had enough of his abuse. I did not say anything about Ernie’s support of Trump. I am sure he does. If Ernie told you he is a patriot, I do not question that at all. If you think I lied by reporting the case comments from Judge Dever, I will say I stand by my reporting. If you chose to believe a man that lies under oath as documented in a federal case, you show a blind following to a man that does not deserve your support and will embarrass you more in the future. I am not finished with Ernie yet. If he thinks being a constitutional officer imparts some special privilege to him where the law does not apply, I will show him it does. Many have expressed their fear of him. I fear no man and will stand up for those that are unwilling or unable. Ernie has been a bully most of his adult life. I have known him since 1984-85. I can not abide a bully. Mr. Cratch, I invite you to attend one of the many forums Ernie will be invited to so he can explain what he has done publicly and refute what I have said. The first one is January 13th in Aurora. You will note Ernie is the only candidate that has not agreed to participate. Why not? If he feels maligned, show up and say so. |
