Obituary: Dorothy Alligood Tice | Eastern NC Now

    Dorothy Alligood Tice, age 93, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Greenville. Mrs. Tice was born July 17, 1918, in Washington to the late Flavis and Cora Sheppard Alligood of Washington. She was a member of St. James Methodist Church, Greenville.

    Husband, William Woodrow “Woody” Tice, preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Dorothy Jean Tice; brothers, Herbert, Caleb, Flavish Jr., Daniel, Lawson, Edgar, and Eugene; and sisters, Grace Alligood, and Maude Jackson.

    Survivors are her children, Jane Tice Pacenta of Williamston and husband, Cliff, and JoAnn Tice Boyd of Marietta, Ga., and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Vickey Manning of Williamston and husband, Tim, Janie Bailey of Chapel Hill and husband, Phillip, Blair Zant of Sandy Springs, Ga., and husband, Will, and Ryan and Noel Boyd of Marietta, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Fulford of Williamston, Madison Manning of Williamston and Ethan Bailey of Chapel Hill.

    A visitation will be held at 9 a.m., July 23, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, Williamston and other times at the home of Cliff and Jane Pacenta.

    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the church with Rev. Susan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
