You have it ass backwards on who is buying the "science" on the climate debate, LIttle Bobbie. It is those who push the climate alarmist mantra for their own political purposes who have put their money into pushing this "science".

It began with the publication of that article on this old and discredited theory in the British magazine "The New Scientist". Some of Margaret Thatcher's team recognized the political usefulness of this theory to her battles with the arab oil sheiks and the militant coal miners union, so they dumped a wad of government money into "research" to promote the global warming through CO2 theory, the first government or any entity to do so. The scientists who first jumped on this money were not the big reputable institutions like Oxford or Cambridge, but instead money hungry minor univerisities like the obscure University of East Anglia. That is why the UK's main climate research center today is still at the University of East Anglia instead of Oxford or Cambridge. The Thatcher government's promotion of this obscure and discredited theory was entirely for political purposes.

Then came the globalists in the form of the UN. They saw the potential to expand the UN's power and influence by promoting this theory and they jumped into it big time.

What has corrupted climate science is government money spent with political objectives in mind, first by Thatcher and more recently by the globalists.

The past president and former prime minister of the Czech Republic, Dr. Vaclav Klaus hit the nail on the head when he called climate alarmism "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today."

As to clean records, the DOJ found nothing on Gaetz they could pursue although they have loved to have found something. Ditto, the police as to the claim against Hegseth, although they were not the political hatchet types like the DOJ. Both men have been exonerated by law enforcement which did not find anything to charge either with.

Now Biden Secretary of State, Tony Blinken was outed as the organizer of one of the biggest scams in recent political history, the coverup of the Hunter Biden laptop story. Did Biden make him resign when he was found out? Heck no. That political chicanery stole an election and there were no consequences to him.

Appointees should also be vetted on ability to do the job, which both Gaetz and Hegseth have been. Biden's appointee as Chairman of the Council of Economics, however, was woefully unqualified, having no training in economics, his degrees being in music and sociology. We saw what happened to our economy following his advice.

McConnell has regularly kneecapped Republican efforts to stop Democrat big spending bills. He is a willing and frequent accessory to Democrat Big Spending. He was also an accessory in passing Obamacare. Expelling him from the Republican caucus would be a good move.

Tillis, along with McConnell, gave their votes to allow Biden to pass his phony "infrastructure" bill without having to use their "reconciliation" slot which avoids cloture rules. That was what allowed Biden to keep that reconciliation slot to use to ram through his "Inflation Reduction Act" which was really a big chunk of the Green New Deal, and increased rather than reduced inflation. Tillis is an absolute scoundrel and a traitor. He needs to be primaried and defeeated in 2026.

Solar is just as bad. It stops producing every night with reducing production in late afternoon and early morning. Other weatehr conditions like rain, clouds, snow, frost, fog, etc. also reduce or eliminate power production from solar. Wind and solar are indeed expensive and unreliable.

Power prices in wind and solar obsessed Germany are the highest in the world and that is causing an upsurge in bankruptcies of German companies, as well as German companies moving abroad. Wind and solar are a sure way to kill an economy.

That is a good ad comparing Trump and Harris on the economy. Anyone who has been to a grocery store or gas station knows that the Democrats have really screwed up the ecomony, and price controls!!!! Kamala's plan there is absolute nuts. Every country that has tried that with food has ended up with rationing and bread lines. Grocery store profit margins are less than 2%. I saw that latest jump by Speedway, which is ALWAYS the one to jack up gas prices, this morning and swung by Duck Thru, where using my discount card, I bought gas for 36 cents per gallon less than Speedway is charging. I could have saved 32 cents a gallon at Murphy's. I am sure Duck Thru has matched Speedway by now, and perhaps Murphy's, although Murphy's seems to usually be the last one to go up.

The thing to do is avoid shopping at Speedway even if you are running on fumes. They are a price gouger.

The Earth's climate has ALWAYS changed, and it does so naturally. There are long term warming and cooling cycles that last centuries that have gone on throughout Earth's history, and nothing man does or doesn't do has anything to do with that. We enetered one of those long term natural warming cycles in the 19th century at the end of a cold cycle known as the Little Ice Age or the Maunder Minimum. The warm period before that, the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than it is today. In fact the longest and hottest of the Earth's warm cycles, the Holocene Maximum, lasted 3,000 years and was MUCH warmer than today. That occured during the height of ancient Greek civilization and from ancient Greek writings, NONE of the dire calamities that the Climate Alarmists now predict ever happened then.

You climate alarmists are Chicken Little on steroids.

There is an easy answer to all of this and that is cronyism, something that should outrage all taxpayers.

DPI did not follow the rules because the current DPI Superintendant was in a tough primary election and wanted to get the grants out for the publicity to buy votes. It would not surprise me if other schools given money in her pre-primary spending spree also had corners cut to get the money out quick enough to try to do her some political good.

As to the required review of Cheeseman over the poor performing schools, the sad fact is that six of the current school board members are in Cheeseman's hip pocket and are his puppets. Voters can change that in Novermber by tossing out Cheeseman flunkies Mack Hodges, Eltha Booth and T.W. Allen.
