I scratch my head over the blizzard of mail that Brinson is sending out. Is he spending a lot of personal money to try to buy the seat like Bill Graham is for governor? Does he have a lot of rich friends? Or is he going the Jim Perry route and selling the seat to the special interests for money with which to buy the seat for himself? It will be real interesting reading when his campaign finance forms are published. I hear from folks in Lenoir County that Perry's group is supporting Brinson, which is not at all a positive sign. We don't need another legislator who prostitutes themselves to the special interests like Perry so brazenly did. Speciale, I am comfortable with, but there are a whole lot of questions that need answers with Brinson.

Often the best conservative candidate is also the strongest candidate.

Take the current governor's primary. Of course all three loudly proclaim themselves "conservative", but one, Bill Graham, has a liberal record on a number of issues and has been endorsed by liberal Senator Thom Tillis, and another, Mark Robinson is missing in action on virtually all issues, afraid of his own shadow when it comes to actually engaging on issues in spite of his forceful speeches. Robinson is all talk and no do.

Both of those candidates have flaws beyond their positions on issues. Robinson has a lot of personal baggage from his past which would be grist for the Democrats and their media allies' mill. Several of Graham's lawsuit have made farmers his mortal enemy, and if the farmer vote abandons a Republican, like they surely would Graham, he is unelectable.

Dale Folwell, the most effective and dependable conservative in the group is also the most electable. He has the ability to reach out into groups that usually vote Democrat. For example, his steady work as State Treasurer to defend our state pension fund and state health plan has earned Folwell the endorsement of the state employees association, a group that usually supports Democrats and which represents a substantial block of votes in November.

VOting for the best conservative in the governor's primary also means voting for the strongest candidate against Josh Stein.

Can't you read, Little Bobbie. The impeachment will be decided in the Georgia Senate, not the courts. That is who will remove the corrupt Fani Willis from office, but maybe she will resign first.

Perry was recently named by a national pro-casino organization as its "policy maker of the year". Perry is a special interest whore in the legislature, bought and paid for on a variety of issues, but casinos is just his latest. He was one of the biggest recipients of casino money from out of state.

But for his liberalism, two other issues he fought hard for, and got well paid with special interest money for doing so, were the NC Green New Deal (HB951) and the Obamacare Medicaid expansion. Perry is hardly a paragon of freedom. He is a bought and paid for prostitute for the special interests. He ought to mount a red light above his legislative office door.

Conservatives should shun woke companies which are trying to crush free speech like Disney and Apple.

This school board is really in left field if they even have liberal Republican "Casino Jim" Perry against them. I hope parents sue them and get a court order that they follow state law.

Attacking history is what totalitarians do. Both the Nazis and the Communists did it. Now the far left all over the western world is at it. Whether destroying historic monuments or trying to rewrite history to fit their agenda, they are a threat to western civlization. The cowards who will not stand up to them, like the 5 incumbents on our school board runnning for reelection are just what Lenin called "useful idiots".

The Tillis endorsed candidates and Berger endorsed candidates are RINOs of the worst order, or in some cases just useful idiots who will go along to get along.

You can add the Mark Robinson endorsed candidates. Not sure how Robinson picks them but it seems like voodoo or something. He generally picks the ones in Berger's pocket or the least conservative candidate in the race. I once thought Robinson had great potential, but the more I see of him, he is clueless in politics. He delivers a good speech that somebody else writes for him, but that is about it. And when he endorses somebody, it usually means the other candidate is the better bet. I was a big fan of Robinson when he ran for Lt. Governor, but the more I have seen of him in office, the less I like him. He is a big, fat phoney.

Truitt has been a big disappointment. Morrow sounds great, and hopefully will govern as she campaigns. The problem she is going to have is dealing with a state board of education stacked with far left appointees of Roy Cooper serving 8 year terms. Hopefully she will display the backbone Truitt has lacked in dealing with them.

This tempest in a teacup reminds me of the line from Shakespeare, "The lady doth protest too much". Much of this is information they are required themselves to publicize but do not do so in a way that people will see it. Then they lose their cool when someone else does it. What more are they hiding? We need more transparency in government, not less.

Hey, NOT RAY LEARY, how do you contend that being led around by the nose by Cheeseman is "thinking on their own"??????? The Bridges math curriculum they passed is woke as well as being Common Core. It even calls for discussing "social justice" in math class!

Firebrand (Jodie) you have a bad case of Hood Derangement Syndrome, an affliction similar to Trump Derangement Syndrome. We need to look at issues in the school board race, but if we have to look at individuals, the one we need to look at is Cheeseman, who is a control freak, and controls the school board majority. You can watch him up there at the table signalling them what to do. Those six seem to think Cheeseman is their boss instead of their employee.
Commented: Friday, January 19th, 2024 @ 5:27 pm By: Rino Hunter
Firebrand is clueless. We have a leftwing superintendant who condones a lot of wokeness and 6 school board members who are his puppets. The new members are the only ones fighting against wokeness in our school system. Those three are representatives of the conservative trend that is sweeping school board elections around the country. THe other six represent the old "go alond / get along" education establishment that is failing our children.

Let's connect some dots on these fake rape accusations of E. Jean Carroll. Her legal crusade against Trump has been financed by some major Democrat contributors. One of those major Democrat contributors connected to the Carroll ambush of Trump is none other than Democrat mega-donor Reid Hoffman, who curiously is also funding Nikki Haley. www.breitbart.com

Now we are finding out where that Haley vote came from. The one county in the state of Iowa she carried had so many "Republicans for a day" temporarily switching to "hold their nose for Haley" to try to hurt Trump that they ran out of party switch forms on caucus night. www.thegatewaypundit.com

Now the process heads to New Hampshire which has an open primary where Democrats do not even have to temporarily switch their registration to meddle in the Republican primary and Biden is not even on the ballot on the Democrat side. Likely another gold mine of fake "Republican" votes for Haley from people who have absolutely no intent to vote for any Reublican in November.

The globalists are all meeting in Davos right now (and the prostitutes and drug dealers are getting rich from their business), so maybe the farmers ought to take their protests right to the source of the problem and shut down Davos. Give that totalitarian turd Klaus Schwab a heart attack.

Will gave his sources, Bobbie, but instead of merely questioning those, you made a broad sweeping statement about this issue at all schools in America. You offer no sources, only your own ideological belief and still fail to do so.

Any boy who thinks he is a cat or a girl or Napoleon needs mental health help and probably a stay in an institution.

That is simply crooked New York "justice", Bobbie.

Joe Biden has never been held to account for his digital (with his finger) rape of Tara Reade, who was his Senate employee. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have never been held to account for their multiple sexual assaults / Rapes. Yet Jean Carroll can extract money on a made up fantasy.

These January 6 Stalin Show Trials are just another example of the double standard in the increasingly corrupt American judicial system, not only in comparing the kid gloves treatment of major instigator Epps, who was given a slap on the wrist, compared with people who did little more than walk around, who are having the book thrown at them, but also in comparison to the ANTIFA / BLM insurrection of the previous summer, which had much much much more deaths, injuries, and damage.

A two tier, politically determined justice system, which we have now, is not democracy nor the rule of law.

There are what amount to "fifth column" Republicans trying to sabotage the GOP from within, and they have infiltrated major leadership positions in Raleigh and Washington, DC. Phil Berger is probably the worst of the fifth columnists in Raleigh and Mitch McConnell is his counterpart in Washington, DC.

The term "fifth column" comes from the Spanish Civil War when a Nationalist general told the media "I have four columns marching on the city, and a fifth column ready to rise up inside it". "Fifth column" refers to the traitors within.

If the GOP goes soft on illegal immigration, a huge issue for voters, it throws a lifeline to Biden and other vulnerable Democrats and stabs the Republican Party in the back. Mitch McConnell is, indeed, just as much a creature of Red China as Joe Biden is. The Chinese have poured millions of dollars into the relatives of both so that they own Biden and McConnell. With Biden, the recipient is Hunter Biden, and with McConnell, it is his wife and father-in-law.

Fani Willis is a political hack abusing her office to engage in election interference. She and her boyfriend should both be indicted for that in federal court. It is great to see them both exposed for these shananigans.

THere are two different factions of RINOs playing two different hands in the governor's primary. The Thom Tillis faction is behind Graham. Tillis's RINO consultant Paul Shumaker has been scouting around to recruit a candidate for the race for months, thrashing Robinson, and he finally found Graham. Shumaker is running Graham's campaign and Tillis endorsed Graham right out of the gate.

Mark Robinson went to Raligh as a grassroots citizen candidate and conservative, but once there has been coopted by ultra RINO Senate President pro tem Phil Berger. Berger has endorsed Robinson's candidacy and Berger's very liberal Chapel Hill based consultant Jim Blaine is embedded in Robinson's campaign. Berger has been running ROy Cooper's liberal agenda through the General Assembly and even endorsed a Democrat for a judgeship in the last election. Robinson, who presides over the Senate, has sat back and acquiesed to the Berger / Cooper agenda. Robinson still talks a good game but he has been completely MIA on key issues in Raleigh. Berger clearly intends to pull Robinson's puppet strings in the governor's mansion like he has in the legislature. Robinson does not have the political experience to resist, obviously.

The grassroots conservative this primary is Dale Folwell.

There is not a dimes worth of difference between a college or university in America making DEI a part of its education process and the colleges and universities of the old Soviet Union making Marxism-Leninism part of theirs. Both dogmas are peas in an extremist pod and are disgusting. We don't want this far left garbage in Beaufort County.

For the far left like you, LIttle Bobbie, I am sure they are happy with the school board majority. Six seat warmers dance on the puppet strings of a superintendant who showed his alliance to the far left concepts of "equity" and "inclusion" in his very recent PhD paper, wrtitten while he worked for this school board. It appears that all six think of Cheeseberger as their boss instead of the employee he really is.

For the rest of us? Not so much.

Democrats are also denying members of their own party a choice in the primary, as in mulitple states, including NC, they only allow Biden to be on the ballot. Other Democrats who are running are not allowed in the Democrat primary. That is just another part of the Democrats' attack on democracy.
Commented: Friday, January 5th, 2024 @ 8:55 pm By: Rino Hunter
If the Washington's city manager is pulling the strings, they keep it better hidden than the school board. Washington keeps its city manager down where he belongs with the staff during city council meetings. The school board seats their puppet master, Cheeseberger, err Cheesemold, err Cheeseman with the elected officials right beside the board chairman. Indeed, at meetings, one often sees Cheeseman whispering in chairman T.W. Allen's ear, telling him what to do.

Allen is a pathetically weak and ineffective chairman who is nothing but a rubber stamp for Cheeseman, but that is true of all five of the school board members up for election this year. Only Carolyn Walker puts on a show of having a mind of her own, but even that is only a show because she always toes the Cheeseman party line in the end. We need more school board members like the three new ones we elected last election.

Commented on Abuse of the Jail

America's current two-tier "justice" system which has different standards for different people depending on their politics is the opposite of the Rule of Law. Under the Rule of Law, everyong is treated the same, and that is no longer the way it works in America, thanks to the Democrats. The Democrats are destroying democracy as we have known it while trying to blame it on others.

This is a smokescreen by RINO Tillis, who is still the same liberal he has always been. Indeed, right now, he is involved in a Senate "gang" working with Democrats to try to sell us out on illegal immigration.

There needs to be a special prosecutor appointed to investigate and prosecute election interference.
