    Mr. Leo Stephen "Steve" Lahocki, Jr, age 57, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Pitt Vidant Medical Center.

    Steve was born February 28, 1960 to Stella Crawford Lahocki and the late Leo Stephen Lahocki, Sr in Prince George County, Maryland. He was a former millwright and welder for PCS. Steve served his country in the United States Army and Marines and had a passion for motorcycles.

    On February 17, 2001 he married the love of his life the former Sarah Jo Jones who survives. In addition to his wife, Sarah Jo Jones-Lahocki, he is survived by his mother, Stella L. Crawford Wadford of Moncks Corner, SC, four sons; Leo Stephen Lahocki, III , George Allen Lahocki, and Cody Lee Lahocki all of Virginia and Ashton Maurice Jones of Chocowinity, NC.

    Other survivors include three sisters; Sandy L. Lahocki of Walstonburg, NC, Becky L. Meeks of Grimesland, NC, and Robyn L. Smith of Moncks Corner, SC, two brothers; Richard A. Lahocki of Greenville, NC and James Stephen Lahocki of Maryland, also surviving are ten grandchildren.

    The family will receive friends Monday, July 24, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be directed to Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, c/o Father Brendan Buckler, 112 W. 9th Street, Washington, NC 27889.
