Will Aurora win a Washington city council seat? | Eastern NC Now

Sadler flunky Anthony Tyre lives in Aurora, not Washington

ENCNow

One remembers some years ago when citizens challenged whether Charles Boyette actually lived in the town of Belhaven in court and a jury ruled that he did not really live where he claimed but actually lived outside of town. Boyette was then removed from his position on the town council.

Will an Aurora resident win a seat on Washington's city council November 7?  It is well known that Anthony Tyre, who is running on the political machine slate of Mayor Sadler actually lives with his mother in Aurora.  He has also received a grant to open a grocery / conventience store in Aurora since it has been deemed a "food desert".

So how is Tyre running for the Washington city council?  A Democrat lawyer is allowing Tyre to claim an address over a business in downtown Washington as his "residence".  There seems to be nothing to indicate that Tyre is living there, even part time.

If Tyre does win a seat will anything be done about it?

Tyre is on both the slate of the corrupt Sadler machine and the slate of the county Democrat Party. Do they not care where the guy actually lives? Does power mean that much to them? Of course it does to Boss Hogg Sadler, who has had two absolute yes-men on the city council, Mike Renn, a drunk who is not running again, and the barely literate Richard Brooks, both of them easy to control. Renn is not running again, so Boss Sadler is looking for two new flunkies who are easy to control and thinks he has found them in Antwon Horton and Anthony Tyre. If Sadler, Tyre, Horton, and Brooks are elected, out city government will operate just like Tammany Hall, and hold onto your wallets.
