Jim Perry, the RINO senator from Kinston we will be stuck with after January played a big role in doing this outrage to NC electric customers. Unfortunately nobody filed against him in the new district. Hopefully, we will have a conservative alternative in the 2024 GOP primary, but for this year I plan to write in for our old State Senator who was gerrymandered out of office by the RINOs due to his standing up against the solar and wind boondoggle. I may have to write Bill Cook in on the Libertarian line, but that is who I am going to vote for, NOT that special interest lapdog Perry.

The last two Czech presidents have been in the minority of world leaders with their heads screwed on straight. Neither is likely to be popular in Davos. President Zeman also openly called the Muslim migrant influx into Europe an "invasion" and said it should be defended against like any other invasion.

The Green Bad Deal is hurting all western countries while Red China laughs at us and keeps building scores of new coal power plants. Thunberg might as well be an agent of the ChiComs and the same can be said for US politicians pushing the same line of garbage like RINO NC Senate leader Phil Berger and RINO NC House leader Tim Moore.

I remember when someone posted side by side a huge banner for Thunberg in a California city and a huge banner of Hitler from Nuremburg. The arrogant scowling expressions of both were incredibly similar.

HB 951 will cost both taxpayers and electric ratepayers dearly, and it is just disgusting that Berger and Moore abused power the way they did to impose this far left climate alarmist crap on North Carolina. Polling in the US also shows that "climate change" is not a concern of the American voter. It consistently polls as one of the very lowest priorities of Americans. Just as he did on the big spending and inflation inducing so-called Infrastructure bill, Tillis is supporting the Democrat and Biden agenda against that of North Carolina Republican voters. Tillis makes Benedict Arnold look loyal to his cause. In this case, North Carolina voters in a Constitutional referendum voted decisively to oppose homosexual marriage. Tillis is going with the national progressive Democrat agenda against what the voters of his own state have clearly shown what they want. Tillis might as well join "the Squad" as his ideology is similar to theirs. I have held my nose to vote for Tillis in the past, knowing he was not a solid Republican. I will never make that mistake in the future. I wish I could take back my vote for him in the last election. Tillis has turned out to vote more like a Democrat than a Republican.

"Center-left government"? I never thought about it that way, Stan, but that is a very apt description of what Beaufort County has in office. Frankie Waters and Jerry Langley are almost joined at the hip in the way they vote. In this election, there is not a dime's worth of difference between Frankie Waters and Ed Booth on issues. Waters changed his party registration on paper a short time before he ran for commissioner, but he has never changed his tax-and-spend mentality. Waters has been pulling the wool over the eyes of Republican voters for far too long.

These "hospital systems" could best be called "medical conglomerates" or "medical oligopolies" because they have bought up most of the doctors offices in their areas, so that they control health care locally. They thus control pricing and can and do gouge patients. Anti-trust laws badly need to be applied to these combinations that border on being medical monopolies withing their areas. It is appalling to read that the guy who will soon be our state senator, Jim Perry, got rich helping hospitals get control of the doctors offices in their area.

The big spending in the Beaufort County budget is a disgrace. Our liberal county manager played a big part in that, but it is the job of the commissioners to rein him in and they did not do it. I would say that they are spending like drunken sailors but that is probably unfair and demeaning to drunken sailors and at least the drunken sailors are spending their own money.
