They just want to see government money spend and do not care what the excuse is. Obama and Biden judges are engaged in power grabs that are a threat to democracy and must be stopped.

Commented on Sen. Tillis is withholding support for President Trump’s nominee for U.S. Attorney for DCSo when US Attorney Martin starts working to prosecute government corruption, Tillis goes wobbly on him. What part of that investigation of government corruption is Tillis worried about? What has Tillis been up to that might have him doing the perp walk? Inquiring minds want to know. Or is Tillis just trying to protect his crooked Deep State buddies?
Tillis is an embarrassment to NC and a traitor of the worst order in the Senate. We need to bring him home in the primary because he is not electable in a general election. Too many voters have already had a bellyfull of him.

Commented on "Reform-quake" in UK elections as populist right Reform Party soars in election results UPDATEAnother big issue in Great Britain is the climate alarmist "Net Zero" CO2 project that is costing ordinary Brits a lot of money out of their personal pocketbooks. The Reform Party has been the only one taking this head on, calling it "Net Stupid" and calling to end it entirely. The Conservative Party takes a more nuanced approach to eliminate the extremes Labour is pushing but keeping a fair amount of it in place. Interestingly, a think tank headed by former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair issued an analysis highly critical of Net Zero just before the election, which upset the current Labour leadership immensely.
The pollsters thought the Green Party was in real contention with Labour for a mayorship in a left-leaning area, but it turned out that it was the Reform Party, not the Green Party, that turned out to be the real competition to Labour in that seat. Reading the British newspapers online, unlike American newspapers, gives a real sense of what is happening across the pond. Indeed the British newspapers usually do a more accurate and thoroughr job of reporting what is really happening here in the states as well.

"Net Zero" CO2 causes Net Zero electricity on the grid for consumers. If you like blackouts, you will love wind and solar energy. This boondoggle must be stopped in North Carolina where it is already coming out way. Our "woke" energy monopoly Duke Energy is pushing for it. Our RINO Senate leader Phil Berger did a dirty deal with the special interests and with Roy Cooper to rewrite the already bad HB951 into North Carolina's radical Green New Deal, which is more radical than what Europe has. Phil Berger needs to be tarred and feathered and run out of the state on a rail. He is a despicable political whore to the special interests and the Democrats.

Commented on CBS News poll: Support for deportation increased after Dem campaign about Albrego GarciaThe cost of illegal aliens to taxpayers is enormous. They have cost New York City taxpayers $5 Billion. Other localities, too, and being soaked by these deadbeats, but all the Billions Biden shelled out for them is the worst. It is unacceptable to pay to put people who are illegally in the country up in luxury hotels.

Illegal aliens are a huge financial burden to American taxpayers. They are not supposed to get these government handouts, which legal immigrants are also not entitled to. President Trump is to be applauded on cutting them off from these programs, which the previous regime was breaking the law to provide to them. Denmark has long had a policy of limiting welfare to illegal aliens to discourage them from coming, but in next door Germany, 63% of the welfare budget goes to the illegal alien migrants.

As I recall they are calling the new school "Washington Elementary School" so it might be helpful to amend your request using that name to avoid a possible stalling tactic.

Israel used paying illegal aliens to leave as part of a carrot and stick approach to deportation. Up to a certain time they would be paid to leave, but after that the government would come down on illegal aliens like a ton of bricks. I have moral qualms about paying people who deliberately came in illegally to leave, but from a financial perspective, it does make sense.
Of course, another techique is to cut illegal aliens off from welfare and other financial support. Denmark has made welfare scarce for illegals for many years and they are not as burdened by illegal immigration as the countries around them as a result of that policy. Iceland last year lowered the boom on illegal aliens getting welfare last year and it had a big impact. Trump is talking about also paying illegal aliens to leave, and he is cutting off their subsidies. Both of those things should encourage self-deportation. Outside groups that fund illegal aliens should probably be charged with harboring illegal aliens, which has been a felony in our immigration laws for years, but rarely used.

Washingtonian, Beaufort County used to have two systems, the Washington City System and the County system, each with its own board and superintendent. However, merger and consolidations are watchwords of the liberal education establishment and that fell by the wayside. I would agree that was a better system.
The reason the liberal education establishment wants school consolidation is to decrease parental involvement. Yes, they like to give lip service to parents being involved but that is just a smokescreen. Another thing they do to push parents away is eliminating textbooks. No longer can parents flip through their child's textbook at home to see what he is being taught. When students were doing their work at home during Covid, that gave parents an opportunity to see what leftwing crap was being drilled into their kids and there arose a nationwide movement to oust the "business as usual" types from school boards. Stan, I fear you are right on this school boondoggle just getting worse and more expensive. That fiasco over the 4 acres is just the beginning. Cheeseman has hired a construction firm with a long history of cost overruns on building schools, and their oversight group is not up to the task. Cheeseman has already demonstrated his dire lack of management competence. T.W. Allen is a joke, nothing but a front man for Cheeseman who does what he is told. Then you have Frankie Waters, who as chairman of the old Tri-County Telephone ran it into bankruptcy. We have the Three Stooges watching over a company that is almost certain to try to sock us with extra costs. One suggestion is that when they come back with demands for more money, make a condition of giving any more money that the Three Stooges all resign from their positions, and that means their underlying offices. If they let themselves get suckered, and they will, then we do not need them in ANY public office, appointed or elected.

Cheeseman has selected a construction firm with an extensive history of cost overruns in school construction. He will be long gone to his next job before those chickens come home to roost. Indeed there is an FBI investigation ongoing in Beaufort County, South Carolina over this same firm's cost overruns/
Maybe that is why he wants to close Snowden. He is freeing up some money to cover those expected cost overruns on his pet project. This school is also being built on the lowest part of the lot. That will prove real smart when hurricanes come along and it floods, won't it? And Gary, do you condone Cheeseman's gross mismanagement over that missing 4 acres? How about his half million dollar solution to his blunder when it could have been done with a property swap without costing that half million dollars to the taxpayers. Cheeseman's pet project will prove a total boondoggle from start to finish. That grant from the lottery fund could have been used MUCh more effectively for our schools.

It is not just immigration. The backlash against Climate Alarmism has risen rapidly in the UK after Labour's draconian Net Zero program was implemented, which will cost ordinary Brits a bundle in their own pocketbooks. Conservatives have announced a plan reining in the most expensive parts, but the Reform Party, which has always called Net Zero "Net Stupid" wants to cancel it in its entirety. They also blame the Conservatives for starting the Net Zero project in the first place. Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson's then girlfriend, and now wife, was and is a big climate activist.
Immigration is part of what is driving the Reform Party's surge but so is the backlash to climate alarmism and Net Zero.

Illegal aliens are a huge financial burden on our taxpayers. They evaded due process in coming in, so why in hell should we be bound by any type of due process in sending them home? Especially when they are criminals like MS13 and Tren de Arague. These freeloading parasites need to be GONE.
We also need a special grand jury, seated somewhere like Texas, to investigate criminal charges against the Biden officials who thwarted immigration law to let them in, starting with Mayorkas. Maybe some Obama and Biden federal judges need to be indicted for harboring illegal aliens due to their crazy abuse of power rulings.

Commented on The tail wags the dog at Snowden hearing in AuroraCheeseman seems to want to make his plan to close Snowden all about money, so that begs the question of how the half million dollars Cheeseman blew in his bungling on the 4 acre screwup on his new monster consolidated elementary school in Washington ties into this. Half of that half million came directly from the school system budget and the other half ostensibly from the county commission but that probably also represents an advance from the commission on what the schools would have gotten this year. Is Cheeseman closing Snowden to make up for that half million dollars he blew on the mismanagement of his Washington consolidated school boondoggle? Will the school board sit there as sock puppets and let him get away with that?
There was an article on the BO on all the state statutes that Cheeseman ignored on his Washington consolidation boondoggle, and it appears he is on the same path with Snowden. Was his liberal Durham lawyer even apprised on how Cheeseman was handling that or did Cheeseman wing it on his own? Regardless, if the school board plays sock puppet and rubberstamps Cheeseman on this, the people of Aurora should raise the money and hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit over it.

Letitia James had a lot of gall to make up fake charges on Trump when she was the one actually engaged in mortgage fraud in two different states. She appears to have told at least three lies to get better rates, 1) that she was married to her own father, 2) that an investment property in Virginia was her "primary residence" when she was registered to vote and elected to public office in New York where she actually lived, and 3) that a 5 unit apartment buliding was a 4 unit apartment building. She did not stop with one lie but covered the waterfront.

Thom Tillis, Mitch McConnell, and a few other RINOs are the reason we got the budget busting Green New Deal mislabeled as the "Inflation Reduction Act" (it did just the opposite!). These RINOs gave Biden the votes to pass their also mislabeled "infrastructure" bill without having to use their "reconcilation" slot that avoided filibusters. It was only the fact that the reconciliation slot was still available that theywere able to pass the Green New Deal budget busting bill. Thanks a lot, Tillis. That is a big reason that I will NOT be voting for you regardless of who is running against you. Tillis is a spendthrift that we do not need in the Senate.

That would slam all of these fake democracies with their citizens. Then the citizens would need to learn, as Russians already have, that all you need is a VPN that says you are in a free country to be able to access the REAL X which has free speech and to be able to discuss what you want.

The fact that his announcement ignores two big issues in front of the school board, curriculum and the new school construction boondoggle, tells the voters that this dude Garrison is NOT a conservative.
Ever since parents were outraged during Covid when the instruction at home regime allowed them to see the woke crap their kids were getting in the classroom, getting woke out of the curriculum has been the driving issue for conservatives in school boards races across the country, around the state, and here in Beaufort County. The "business as usual" crowd is being kicked to the curb all over the country. Garrison is either a liberal or he is clueless. Then there is the new school construction boondaggle where a series of blunders by the school administration, meekly rubberstamped by a yes-man majority on the school board has created a real mess. It would appear that Garrison wants to join that yes-man majority that considers itself subservient to our liberal and domineering superintendant.

Human health is an important reason to regulate wind and solar energy production by strong county ordinances. THere are toxic substances involved in both as well as the harmful effects of the operation of wind turbines.
Another reason is to make sure these things get cleaned up when they are no longer functional. Hurricanes and tornadoes can shatter a wide area of wind turbines, scattering shards of glass as well as toxic substances. When they wear out, there needs to be a bond posted to cover decommisioned them and removing them.

Always double check anything Dr. Parker tells you. He is not known for accuracy. In the last debate over the social studies curriculum, Parker told the School Board that the Savvas curriculum was the only one approved by DPI. That was not true, as at least six others were on DPI's list On the math curriculum debate, he told the school board that the Bridges curriculum was "not Common Core" when its own website said it was. He had to reverse himself after this was pointed out. One wonders if Parker is just that out of touch or if he is giving answers fed to him by his superior. Either way, I would not trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

He did that to get their votes for his massive big spending bill. Every bit of that went against his promises to the voters in last month's election. Merz has now reversed every major issue he ran on in the campaign. He lied about everything. He has totally backstabbed his voters and he is not even in office as chancellor, yet.
