Well, NO, it is climate alarmism that has already increased our insurance rates by use of their scam computer models for setting rates instead of actual facts. For years, property insurance rates were based on solid fact, the record of past losses. Some years ago, the insurance companies conned North Carolina to let them use computer models instead. Computer models are digital alchemy where whoever sets them up can get whatever result they want by the way they design their model. This is a very crooked system that vastly overcharges eastern North Carolina. Since this scam was launched, losses have continued to follow the historical pattern, but the insurance cokmpanies are still allowed to overcharge us based on that fake computer model scheme. Climate alarmism is their excuse for using the crooked computer models.

All of this Democrat bungling on the Los Angeles wildfires is going to hit all of us.
Take insurance. All insurance companies buy "reinsurance" to back them up on major losses from companies like Swiss Re. These reinsurance companies are going to get soaked in Los Angeles, and will raise their rates to the insurance companies we buy from in North Carolina. That will raise our premiums. The companies with heavy direct exposure to Los Angeles will also probably try to increase their rates in other states to cover their Los Angeles losses. THen consider all of the mortgages on houses that have gone up in smoke. THey are not likely to be paid and the collateral is now greatly reduced, being now only the land. Some already shaky financial insitutions with a lot of Los Angeles mortgage expsoure may go under from this and that may set up a chain reaction with other financial institutions.

Little Bobbie sure is brainwashed into that Climate Scientology cult. Santa Ana winds have been around as long as we have records. They happen at this time of year. So has the El Nino / La Nina cycle. Neither are "change". Also, the longtime pattern is that when you have La Nina, as has just started last year, you have stronger Santa Ana winds. For California, an El Nino pattern gives more rain, but a La Nina pattern gives little rain. A lot of growth of plants followed by drying out is simply what always happens when a La Nina pattern takes over from an El Nino pattern. It is not "climate change". It is a natural climate cycle that has gone on as long as we have records.
Bobbie's brainwashing seems to be as thorough as Greta Thunberg's. Haybe he needs professional help in getting out of that cult.

With the Los Angeles wildfires still out of control, the California legislature pays no attention to them, provides no resources for victims, but instead spends their time and the taxpayers money oh a partisan political fight with President Trump. They should hang their heads in shame. This is a party that cannot govern.

Commented on New Washington Elementary School planning delayOur School Board has a history of poor planning in school construction and renovation, and this isn't their first rodeo of screwing up. We saw a lot of that in the last bond referendum and the poor planning that went into that. The real problem is that we have had a hands-off rubber stamp school board that has been just window dressing for a power-bully superintendant who really runs the show. The superintendant is playing this construction in the way that most benefits his resume for a job in a higher paying larger school system, not what is best for Beaufort County. We need a School Board that will take charge and remind the superintendant that he is the employee, not the boss.
Too much of this process has been done in the backroom controlled by the superintendant and now the cracks are showing. Putting T.W. Allen to go to meetings with the superintendant is a joke because T.W. Allen is a pathetic lap puppy for the superintendant and just does what he is told by the superintendant. Why in the heck did the school board not figure out that the city owned 4 acres of that school site early on and deal with it before getting this deep in the process. That was absolute incompetence by the superintendant who has been running the show. We need a new superintendant and we need one badly, but we also need a school board that will step up and represent the citizens like they are supposed to and not be sock puppets for an out of control power-bully superintendant.

It stood to reason that LIttle Bobbie would eventually get a far left talking point like that, and regurgitate it here. Look at my first comment on their thread two days ago. Now he has.
Let me explain some REAL climate science to Bobbie. Climate and weather involve a number of alternating climate cycles, some lasting months, some a year or two, and some for centuries. For California one set of cycles that is particularly important are the El Nino / La Nina cycles which rotate and tend to last a year or two, maybe three, and then reverse. An El Nino cycle which includes heavy rainfall just ended and a La Nina cycle with low rainfall and a propensity for higher winds just started earlier this year. California had a lot of rain from El Nino causing lots of brush to grow, followed by the drynees of La Nina that caused it to dry out, setting up a bigger fire danger. Add to that the La Nina propensity for higher winds when the annual and predictable Santa Anna Winds arrived, as they always do this time of year. This had NOTHING to do with CO2 and everything to do with the El Nino / La Nina cycle. The climate alarmist mafia are very predictable. The analogy to the medieval church for their pagan cult is a solid one. Anything bad that happens they want to jump up and blame on the fantasy "manmade climate change". These grifters are making billions off of this scam and they want to keep the gravy train rolling. They rely on low level know-nothing lemmings like Little Bobbie and Greta Thunberg to keep parroting their propaganda.

He also pointed out that in his first term, he had arranged for a program to get California more water but that Democrat California Governor Newsome had refused to sign it. How long will it be before the pagan religious cult of Climate Scientology claims this is a result of "global warming"? They are like the medieval church which claimed that anything bad that happened was a punishment from God. Now the Climate Scientologists have turned this around to claim that anythng bad that happens is a punishment from manmade global warming.

Who is that "we", Bobbie? Have you ever crewed on a whaling ship? Of course not. Nobody on these boards has because whaling ended many generations ago. Maybe you still fantacize about Moby Dick, but for most modern Americans, whaling is ancient history. But real environmentalists care about biodiversity and maintaining diminished species, something the climate alarmists like yourself clearly care nothing about.
While whales are increasingly washing up on beaches as a result of offshore wind turbine development, the climate alarmists are proposing new forests of these things directly on the migration path of the most endangered whale species, the Atlantic Right Whale. It is not just whales. Wind turbines on land and sea slaughter birds by the millions, including endangered eagle species. Wind turbines are a threat to the environment and should be banned.

Offshore wind turbines are also an attack on the environment, slaughtering whales and seabirds as they industrialize our oceans and also adversely impacted lots of other marine species. They are also one of the very most expersive ways to make electricity, gouging electric consumers with very high bills.
Trump should use the law Biden is trying to use against offshore oil and gas drilling to permanently shut down offshore wind. Climate alarmists are ANTI-environmentalists in their lunacy.

Illegal aliens are a net drain on the economy, as they are subsidized in many ways by taxpayers at all levels. While there are no available statistics on the subject nationally in the US, in Germany, 63% of the entire welfare budget in the country is being paid out to illegal aliens. Sending these parasites home will be a boon to the American economy. Look what happened after Florida did a crackdown that caused many of the illegals to leave the state a year ago. Their economy has boomed, and yes that includes agriculture and tourism.

One of Farage's three main points is bringing the climate alarmist agenda to a screeching halt, noting it only makes the average citizen have to pay more out of their family budget while it destroys the country's industry. It was one of Reform UK's other Members of Parliament, Richard Tice who aptly dubbed Net Zero (CO2) as "Net Stupid".
Of course, Farage's other two main oints, stopping illegal immigration and teaching children to love their country, also resonate here in America.

The other way time has told is to look backwards at climate. The Earth has ALWAYS gone through alternating warming and cooling cycles and levels of CO2 have never had anything to do with either. This Canada / Greenland thing is just another one of those silly far left talking points you like to parrot. Trump is playing with Trudeau, who is a globalist idiot and likely on his way out as prime minister, and his main goal is border security on our northern border. Greenland is more of a geostrategetic play. Greenland got its name because during the Medieval Warm Period, when it was warmer than today, farmers were growing crops there.

Being for types of energy that are expensive and unreliable like wind and solar is the same thing as being anti-energy. Merkel's idiot "energy transition" in Germany has given them the highest residential electric rates in the world, three times what we pay in North Carolina, and it has put their whole economy in the toilet with companies closing and moving abroad. The UK's "Net Zero" (or "Net Stupid" as the Reform Party calls it) is in the process of doing the same there.
Here is a good article on how bad the German economy has gotten due to the "green energy" madness: rmx.news The globalists get their panties in a twist over CO2 but that is NOT a pollutant. It is necessary for plant life. Without it, all plants on Earth would die, followed qucikly by all animals. Modern scrubbers remove virtually all of the real pollutants from coal emissions.

Earth is simply in one of its long series of warming and cooling cycles that last multiple centuries. We came out of the last cooling cycle, known as the Maunder Minimum or the Little Ice Age, a particularly cold cycle in the 19th century and are now in a natural warming cycle, that has nothing to do with fossil fuels. The last warming cycle, known as the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today, and there were no adverse consequences. We know where the coastal cities were in Medieval times and we know that there are no records of any "sea level rise". Further, the granddaddy of all warm periods, the Holocene Maximum when it was much warmer than today for three thousand years corresponded to the golden age of ancient Greek civilization. Again, we know where the coastal cities in Greece were at that time and there is no evidence in ancient Greek writings or elsewhere of any "sea level rise" then either.
Bobbie does not dispute that the BBC's claim of no sea ice at all by 2013 was proven to be false. All of the scare stories from the globalist warmists turn out to be false when they reach the date by which they are supposed to happen.

Government debt when it gets too extreme will often lead to economic disaster, as it did in Germany in 1923 when it took a wheelbarrow full of paper money to buy a loaf of bread. It almost happened to the UK a century earlier and if the Rothschilds had not bailed out the Bank of England, it would have. In more recent times there have been examples like Zimbabwe and Venezuela, even though both are very rich in natural resources, but leftwingers mishandled their economies with way too much debt.
A counter example is the economic miracle we are seeing in Argentina with the election last year of a Libertarian president, Milei. Milei campaigned with a chainsaw, revving it up to illustrate what he was going to do to government bureaucracy. The first thing he did was to eliminate about half of all national government departments and he has continued to take his chainsaw to government bureaucracy and programs and indicated Argentina will be leaving the Paris Climate Accords. Now the economy is booming, inflation that had been rampant in the country is now nonexistant, the budget is balanced, and he has just given all Argentines a big tax cut. President Milei of Argentina should be the model for Trump and for DOGE.

In reality, our economy is facing devastating government debt than has mushroomed under Biden and will be difficult to get under control. The economy also is suffering some of the worst inflation in our history, 23% in four years, due to bad economic policies of Biden. Job reports have been a joke because they present something overblown, then months later revise it to much lower levels. Even then most of the new jobs under Biden have been part time or for illegal aliens. The percentage of working age citizens who are in the work force has declined under Biden. The Biden ecomony is stuck together with bubblegum and will need the expertise of Trump and his team to get it back on track.

Commented on The unintentional consequences of Luigi MangioneComrade Bobbie is going full socialist on us on healthcare. Is that any surprise?
Socialized medicine kills with its lengthy waiting lists. In the UK, most doctors in the socialized National Health Service get private medical insurance so that they can get good and timely care in the parallel private health system because they know first hand how bad the socialized system is. Australia has a similar parallel system, but Canada does not, leading many Canadians to seek decent and timely medical care in the US. I remember an article a couple of years ago in one of the British newspaper about three men all diagnosed about the same time with the same type of cancer at the same stage. One mortgaged his house and paid cash through a private hospital in the UK. He was cured. Another went abroad (India or Turkey if memory serves) to get treatment at a much cheaper cost. He was cured. The third waited his turn on the National Health Service waiting list. When they got to him, his results showed the cancer had progressed too far and was inoperable. He died. That is how waiting lists kill in socialized medicine.

Musk and Soros are alike in one way, the objectives for which they spend money are ideological, not self-serving financial, but they are opposite sides of the ideological divide. Soros is a globalist elitist and collectivist. Musk has joined the forces of individualism and liberty, taling a populist appreach. Soros works with groups like the WEF to promote their agenda. Musk works largely independently to promote his own contrasting vision. The area of censorship is a good example where Soros fights for the WEF vision of controlling the narrative through censorship, while Musk fights for free speech for all and against censorship.

What Obamacare has done, and it was predictable based on what happened with a similar government program in Australia, was a massive consolidation within all aspects of the medical care industry. Instead of lots of independent providers to choose from, we now have big conglomerates for the most part, both in insurance and in actual provision of care. This has made the system more impersonal and less user friendly. The Democrats' hope was that getting to that stage would encourage citizens to say "Aw, heck, just let the government do it all." That would be going from the frying pan into the fire.
Simply repealling Obamacare at this point would accomplish little because it is more the changes Obamacare instigated that are the problem than Obamacare itself. A path forward needs to be found somehow to encourage more insurance companies to get back into medical insurance so we have some competition, and to unwind these medical conglomerates like Vidant, which are now everywhere in the country. That is a tall order, but something needs to be done because the present system is a huge mess and socialized medicine is much worse.

I guess everything is about race to a race hustler like Bobbie, but our Obamacare mess is NOT. It is about a longterm scheme by leftwing Democrats to capture our health system. Their first big play was HillaryCare during the Clinton regime but that bombed. Those who concocted what later became known in popular culture as "Obamacare" were actually white leftists, many of them retreads from HillaryCare.
All of the regulations and rules of Obamacare are what led to the mass centralization of our health care, including health insurance, that destroyed choice for American consumers. Here in Beaufort County, we had two independent hospitals prior to OBamcare, but post Obamacare, Vidant in Greensville bought both and closed one. Vidant also bought up many of what had been independent doctors offices. All of that was driven by Obamacare, and that consolidation is not good for consumer choice. Similarly many of the insurance companies that used to offer health insurance got out of that business after Obamacare, and that also destroyed consumer choice. HillaryCare would have done exactly the same. That was all predictable since that had also been the result of Australia's government medicine program called Medicare, which had also seen massive consolidation and centralization in health care, to the point that a subsequent govenrment that looked into ending Medicare (the Australian equivalent of Obamacare) found that all of the centralization that had occured made it impossible to go back to what had previously worked better for Australians. Oh, and as to those insurance companies, I am sure you will find their stockholders are of all races, and so are their employees. This is NOT a racial issue, dude.
