We need stronger campaign finance laws to reveal where this dark money actually comes from, but the current leaders in Raleigh profit from it so they will block any reform. There is little doubt in my mind that Monsanto bought our seat for their flunky Armstrong, but as long as the records cannot be accessed, it cannot be proven.

Armstrong has been a "stealth" candidate who refuses to tell us where he stands on issues. Now we know why. He is in the hip pocket of the special interests who want to buy this seat for him. If he got elected, he would owe his soul to them. We cannot let that happen.

Keith Kidwell's voting record reflects what North Carolina and Beaufort County needs, solid conservative policy. He is rated the most conservative member of the legislature. That is why I have contributed to his campaign and will vote for him in March. His opponent has no record so it is hard to know where he actually stands on issues. I am sure some consultant has told him what to say, that seems all too common in politics, but often does not reflect what people will really do in office. I do not want to buy a "pig in a poke". I have never been to a Republican convention, but what happens there does not concern me as much as what a candidate has done or will do in Raleigh. Keith Kidwell has proven himself a staunch conservative leader there and he deserves reelection. I must also say that the people his opponent has surrounded himself with do not give much confidence in how he would perform in Raleigh if he got there.

In addition to Mr. Garrison's deafening silence at all the meetings on Snowden, there is another "tell" on his real position. During the school board meetings, he sat with a group of Cheeseman allies, and Cheeseman was the one driving the train to close Snowden. There is an old saying about "birds of a feather."

As a mother, I probably would have done the same thing that Ms. Davis did. I have had no idea anyone could be prosecuted for it. It seems like the prosecution in this case was a real stretch, anyway. The DA shot it down quickly.

Without borders, we are not a country. America cannot be the world's welfare provider to every deadbeat who wants to show up on our doorstep. The open-borders advocates are simply anti-American. Biden's open borders policy was a conspiracy to destroy America. It is great that it is gone. Deportation of illegal aliens is the way to correct that problem.

It is not surprising that Thom Tillis is supporting the interests of China over those of Trump and the USA. Tillis seems to be liberal on so many things. I remember when he travelled from DC to Raleigh to push for the end of bathroom and locker room privacy for women and girls. Tillis demanded that the repeal of the law protesting their privacy against biological males entering womens and girls batarooms and locker rooms. Shame on Tillis. Tillis also supported homosexual marriage. We need somebody else as our senator.

Liberal Phil Berger is the reason ladies may find a man in their locker room at Fort Macon State Park beach. Berger led the effort to repeal the bathroom and locker room privacy law known as HB2. He was knuckling under to Roy Cooper's demands and seriously betrayed the women and girls of North Carolina when he did it. North Carolina needs to flush Phil Berger once and for all.

The welfare of the children is what should be considered in adoptions and this placement clearly put them in a bad situation and was avoidable. These were special needs children as well and they will be damaged for life. These issues should be strongly considered not only in adoptions but also child custory in divorce. Children should not be placed in these unhealthy situations.
