Commented On The Bistro West Peachtree NW Atlanta Georgia
Thanks for the comments and thanks to Stan for the automatic notification when someone comments on one of my older articles. At 77 years old, I realize that I am probably far out of touch with the various local venues for aspiring entertainers, but I can’t help but wonder if there are still troubadours touring the country in small bars, VFW clubs, or Bowling Alley entertainment rooms. My time on the beer trail was full of such joints. It was a time when entertainers drove in cars, Greyhound, or trains, or parhaps with a guitar strapped over their shoulder and a thumb in the air from town to town honing their talent. Many never made it to stardom but a few like those mentioned in the comments did and we are all the better for it. As Stan said, Gordon created songs that will never be forgotten until we too pass. There are those who say, like the old blues singers, you can’t write a sad or inspirational song until you have lived a sad or inspirational life. I don’t know if that is true but thank God that these songs were written.
Thanks also to Andrea Hayward Nickerson for your parent’s participation in those days of yore. Atlanta is a city that doesn’t hold much to maintaining historical buildings. I have not been by the old Bistro site in years, but I do occasionally visit The Varsity -1928- which is not far from there. I will be sure to drive by and see what a atrocity has been built on that lot. |

Commented On House Democrats Vote UNANIMOUSLY to Give Illegal Aliens Representation in Congress and the Electoral College
What we really need is to get out deporter-in-chief, Donald Trump back in the White House to deport all these illegal aliens back to where they came from.

Commented On McCrory Announces Three Appointments
Unbelievable, isn’t it? McCrory has named his HHS secretary but has not made up his mind about establishing a state health insurance exchange, a vital component of the impending ObamaCare nightmare.
Gov. Pat should take some time to get briefed by South Carolina’s Nikki Haley, Tennessee’s Bill Haslam, and Virginia’s Bob McDonnell. They ALL campaigned for him in the general election and are ALL refusing to establish state health care exchanges within their borders. I’ve heard some whining from within Raleigh’s “conservative revolution” that — if we try to block the exchange — we will lose any kind of influence over how the exchange will be managed. Really? SC, TN and VA don’t seem too worried about it. Neither do the 32 other states refusing to establish the exchanges. Only 15 states so far have agreed to set up a health care exchange. All kinds of health care analysts have opined that the ObamaCare scheme will collapse if an overwhelming majority of states refuses to set up an exchange. This smells like surrender before the first shots have even been fired. |

Commented On West Point Begins Removing Confederate Monuments From Campus; Robert E. Lee Portrait And Bust Cleared Out
The modern-day cultural revolution purge going on throughout all of western civilization must end. Rational people must stand up and stop this insanity.
History is a rich tapestry of human stories. Totalitarian attempts to sanitize it to their own standards or to cancel it entirely only destroy it. When we stop building on our history, we stop enriching our culture. We ultimately commit cultural suicide. This attack on West Point history and tradition is awful. People are now even considering taking down reconciliation monuments. Think about what that means. Lately, in many countries people have destroyed monuments to James Cook of all people. Cook mapped more of the world than anyone. His voyages catalogued thousands of plants and animals and contributed greatly to mankind. During our own war for independence against Britian, Benjamin Franklin wrote to captains of colonial warships, recommending that if they came into contact with Cook's vessel (a British vessel), they were to "not consider her an enemy, nor suffer any plunder to be made of the effects contained in her...but that they treat the said Captain Cook with all the civility and kindness...as common friends to mankind." Cook's work was that important to the human race, and he gave his life to make those contributions. Now in today's hate filled world, he is made to be a supposed villain to be erased from history. As for me, no thank you to that totalitarian nightmarish vision of the world. Madness such as this must be opposed. |

The Intell branch needs pruning. The three government branches need to be sprayed with powerful insecticide. Then, if the tree lives, pray something good comes from it.

Commented On NYC Mayor Says Shoppers In Masks Are Hiding From Cops, Not COVID — And Should Be Barred From Stores
This seems like what they wanted all along. Eric Adams is just another puppet in their game. Where is the accountability for these so called "leaders" in 2020 that said to mask up and keep a distance. They scared us from interacting with one another and sharing our own experiences. More than ever people are waking up to this plan. Their cover-up will get them caught and expose them for who they really work for.
