North Carolina's 2020 general election began on September 4, when thousands of absentee ballots were sent to voters. Thirty-two ballots (from military or overseas voters) were returned and accepted that same day.

From now through election day (and beyond), we will keep you informed of the latest absentee and early voting data with Vote Tracker, a service of the Civitas Institute.

We take the original absentee and early voting data from the NC State Board of Elections and present it in an accessible graphic format.

Even better, Vote Tracker puts you in control of the data. For example, if you wanted to get information on white female voters in Wake County, you can do that by adjusting the county, race, and gender data filters.

We will update absentee and early voting data every (non-holiday) weekday.
