Senate Bill 220, The Reopening Our Schools Act of 2021, has passed both the N.C. Senate (49-0) and the N.C. House (119-0) with unanimous approval.

It’s a refreshing departure from the partisan deadlock that’s kept our schools closed this long, notably made possible by Democrat’s reluctantly moving off the unpopular hill of keeping schools closed for….no good reason.

The legislation opening all elementary schools and probably all but a few middle and high schools through out the state for full time in-person instruction, will now be sent to the governor for a signature that should have been penned a long time ago.
