Carbon credits are the big scam | Eastern North Carolina Now

In the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church convinced the commoners to buy indulgences to alleviate their sins. And they made a fortune in the process.

Similarly, today, our overlords—the mainstream media, central bankers, and their political allies—are working overtime to convince the commoners to pay for their alleged climate sins.

Enter carbon credits, government-issued permits that grant you the privilege to emit a certain amount of carbon dioxide.

Although advocates promote them as a way to “save the environment,” in reality, carbon credits are nothing more than a devious mechanism to tax, regulate, and control you.

It’s not a coincidence that the most philosophically and ethically bent people are promoting them.

For example, at a recent World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, participants revealed and touted an “individual carbon footprint tracker.” It will track where people travel, how they travel, what they eat, and what they consume.

Government scams continue.

Anyone who buys that global warming malarky is really gullible. If I knew who Bob was, I would go sell him a certaih bridge in Brooklyn. Heck, Gore and Obama spout it but clearly don't believe what they spout since they both bought expensive oceanfront mansions. What phonies.

You under estimate the power of GOD and what he can do. I will continue to pray for you.

I got news for you, God made a system that reacts to the things in it. Dump billions of tons of CO2 into His system, and the system dynamics change. As a plane full of innocent children sometimes crashes, the earth can be heated up past its ability to support life.
Btw, the math isn’t voodoo. Any fist year engineering student demonstrate it

Man does not and will never control the weather GOD does.
Here are six significant Bible passages that emphasize God being in control of the weather.

Jer. 10:13
“When He thunders, the waters in the heavens are in turmoil, and He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain and brings the wind from His storehouses.”

Psalm 147:8; 148:8
“Who covers the sky with clouds, prepares rain for the earth and causes grass to grow on the hills.”

“lightning and hail, snow and cloud, stormy wind that executes His command,”

Job 37: 3, 6, 10-13
“He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth.”

“He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”

“The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen. He loads the clouds with moisture; He scatters his lightning through them. At His direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever He commands them. He brings the clouds to punish men, or to water His earth and show His love.”

Amos 4:7
“I also withhold rain from you when the harvest was still three months away. I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up.”

Zechariah 10:1
“Ask the Lord for rain in the season of spring rain. The Lord makes the rain clouds, and He will give them showers of rain and crops in the field for everyone.”

John 3:8
“The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Weather can be unpredictable, which is a great analogy of how we are limited in our knowledge of God. But we know He is control of our lives—just as He is in control of the weather.

The way climate alarmists play games by deliberately fudging the numbers was first esposed by the Climategate emails but also by Mann's fake "hockey stick curve" chart. EVERY dire warning they have ever made that has past the date it was supposed to happen, HASN'T, and there have been dozens of them. These clowns are nothing but a doomsday cult dressed up by science fiction and many of them are doing it to rake in money or accumulate power or prestige.

Or you can ignore the math and go on your merry way. Which is your right to do. Cheers.

Exxon, thanks to the interference of Larry Fink (apt last name) of Blackrock, now has 3 climate crazies on their board, so any of their "math" is probably of the Common Core variety - where 2 + 2 can be anything you want it to be. It is great to see many states pulling their pension funds (and the shares of stock they represent) out of "woke" Blackrock so they will not be used for political purposes like Fink did at Exxon.

Natural warming and cooling cycles have nothing to do with emissions of anything. In fact, they are mostly driven by the sun. They have happened as long as the Earth has existed, and will continue as long as it does. The far left is getting its panties in a twist over a fake issue.

In fact, some predictions on solar cycles point to a cooling period starting in the not too distant future.

I feel sorry for the true believers in the climate alarmist myth that is in particular being drummed into school children. At least in the UK, the British High Court ruled that Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth" movie is a propaganda film containing multiple misttatements of fact and ordered that it not be shown to school children without disclaimers of those things.

At least we agree the earth is warming. The flaw in your argument CV is that Exxon can do the math. Calculating emissions from the burning of fuel is not that complex and easily done. When you do the math, the emissions are so incredibly high it's hard to ignore. Forget the politics, just do the math. If you do, I think the inescapable conclusion is human activity is driving the bus.
The question is, what's in store for humanity? I can't say, but environment changes that occur too fast are never good. I think the issue warrants concern.

Natural climate change IS real. It changes every year between winter, spring, summer, and fall. It is cold in winter, hot in summer, and warm in spring and fall. Then there are the longer natural climate cycles running multiple centuries. We came out of the last natural colling cycle, known to climatologists as the Little Ice Age or Maunder Minimum in the 19th century and have been in a natural warming cycle since. The last natural warming cycle, the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than it is today. The longest natural warming cycle, the Holocene Maximum, lasted three thousand years and was much warmer than today.

Manmade global warming? That is just leftwing political poppycock, now being used by the globalists to try to scare people into giving up their freedoms. The immediate past president of the Czech Republic, Dr. Vaclav Klaus, wrote a very good book on that subject, "Blue Planet in Green Shackles: What is in jeopardy, climate or freedom?".

Oh, I know that the biggest doomsday cult in history, which ought to be called Climate Scientology, keeps trying to scare people with their dire predictions. But you know what? Dozens of their dire predictions have already passed the date they were supposed to happen, and not a single one of those dire predictions has actually come to pass. In fact, not a one of them was even close. With that record of false prophecies, only a blithering idiot would believe anything they have to say.

Exxon-Mobile? Larry Fink of ESG machine Blackrock inserted three climate crazies onto their board of directors at their last stockholder meeting, one of the reasons many states are withdrawing their pension funds from Blackrock. After that, anything they have to say on the subject is very highly suspect.

Except Climate change is real. Who said that? Exxon /Mobil. Its a fairly complex and not completely understood phenomenon but fact, the earth is warming. The solution? There is none. We are past the tipping point. Now we reap what we sowed. My hope is that you guys are right. Could the internet jockey's of Beaufort County know more then Exxon? Not bloody likely.
