Help me here! Are you guys building gallows for us MAGA folks if you all win? You are already locking up church-going folks for singing hymns in public. Oh, I forgot, "Some pigs are more equal than others".

One of Biden's boxes has been drug around so much it was almost worn out. Wonder who has been going through it?

Show me some numbers on this government that works.
Like: Rape, Murder, Carjacking, Cop-killing, Retail theft, Riots, destruction of public property, out-of-control immigration, rampant price increases, breakdown in our education system, and a weak military with inadequate leadership.

Remember Will Rogers's Quote, "We have the best politician's money can buy". We need to change that to having the best politicians who can represent the people and remember the U.S. Constitution. One of the most important races we have this term is the President, local school board and superintendent of public instruction.

Big Bob, I must have missed something. I don't recall any news of Maga's burning down cities, causing riots, killing cops, staging mass looting, or tearing down history. They plan to restore law and order and comply with our constitution.

There is an old country proverb that says, “If you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail”. It appears that, if you are a race baiter, everything is tied to color. Why would anyone be opposed to bringing all races and creeds up to levels that would allow them to progress and contribute to themselves and society? Teaching hatred and division is not the answer. “A house divided cannot stand”.

Just when it looked like we might be making headway here in Beaufort County and the nation beginning to wake up, according to the conservative news, we find this information being reported by the Washington Daily News.
"Beaufort County Community College vice president of student services Dr. LaTonya Nixon completed training through the Equity Coach Academy at Guilford Technical College. The program was initiated by the North Carolina Community College System to help support colleges working to include diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into their plans and organizational structure. As an equity coach, Nixon will work with other community colleges across North Carolina to help institute new college-level plans. By having diversity, equity, and inclusion as part of its strategic plan, Beaufort CCC has made a strong commitment to making its motto of “You belong here!” a reality for all students."

I have not been aware of the BCCC not including all students.

Successful religions, countries, and societies are ruled by laws. When there is no law, we have chaos and anarchy.
Even in the times of Paul’s sojourn in Ephesus, they checked the sailors for decease before they could come into town off their ships. Seems we keep forgetting the basics.

Maybe I am not as brave as some people. I cannot imagine my first day at school walking into 1000 kids. Next, how would I find my room? How can I find my way back to the bus? Just thinking.

I attended one of these auctions a month ago and could not believe how cheap things sold for. The variety of items was amazing. jewelry and decorative items were auctioned for pennies on the dollar. This is the place to shop for Christmas.

A few of us are alive and can remember the Sunday that Pear Harbor was attacked. I was sitting in my Dad’s chair in my pajamas listening to “Jack Armstrong the all American boy” when the announcement came over the radio. I was six years old, but I remember it today just like I remember the day Kennedy was shot. Soon there was an Observation Post built in our front yard to spot airplanes. This had a telephone and was one of the few in about a ten-mile radius. Many of the men who left to fight gave that number as their home number. As a result, we would get death messages about our neighbors, and my mother would go and deliver them and sometimes set up with the family for the rest of the night. We were at war, and we were together.

Tier one counties like ours, often attract Superintendents that need a stepping stone to another job. Cheeseman got a raise and contract renewal before the three new Board members were installed. So now he boasts that he cannot be fired because it would cost too much. If he keeps the DOE and the Teachers Union happy, he feels pretty secure. The Curriculum is not the responsibility of the Superintendent entirely. It is the responsibility of the School Board which is currently very weak and has not learned yet that Cheeseman is Hired Help. Leaving the subliminal message in their resolution that CRT can be justified is purely a smoke screen that our inept school board allowed while Cheeseman made sure to CHA. Teacher protection, Parental involvement, better discipline, and improved learning can be changed with some changes on your Beaufort County School Board.

This is a wonderful opportunity for Eastern NC.
Now we need to get our local public schools to bring 70% of our students up to reading and math levels.

RE: Test Scores for Private Schools.
In accordance with G.S. 115C-549, 550 and G.S. 115C-557, 558, each private school must administer a nationally standardized test or other nationally standardized equivalent measurement selected by the chief administrator to all students enrolled and regularly attending grades 3, 6, 9, and 11 each year. The nationally standardized test or other equivalent measurement selected by the chief administrator must measure achievement in the areas of English grammar, reading, spelling and mathematics in grades 3 and 6. For grade 9, the nationally standardized test or other equivalent measurement selected must measure either (a) achievement in the areas of English grammar, reading, spelling, and mathematics or (b) competencies in the verbal and quantitative areas. The grade 11 test must measure competencies in the verbal and quantitative areas. Non-public school law also requires that the test results be kept on file at the school's office for one year....

You are right.
We have had creeping socialism for a while and our local school board has had a hard time recognizing it. 70% of our students are not at grade level for reading and Math in Beaufort County. Eight of our schools were rated a (D) by the DOE. A (D) is now 40 by the current grading system. The math course, Bridges, has DEI built in as part of that course. Why is that part of a math course? The Current school board almost bought SAVVAS for $450,000.00 for our Social Studies program. SAVVAS had dominant features of the Rain-Bow Flag. The current board refuses to look at the Hillsdale Social Studies program, which is free. The State DOE Does not set the curriculum. The local School Board Does. Why are we in this mess? Parents need to get involved to find out. The first place to look is LEADERSHIP.

Bob, you are right that people fight and die for what the flag represents and that is why it should be protected as a symbol of democracy and freedom. It is by the sacrifice of those who have served that you are able to express your position on where you stand. We should all be thankful for that.

Lady Justice should be blind. But not the FBI.
They seem to be turning a blind eye to most of the politicians in Washington.
We need to dissolve a number of bureaucrat organizations in Washington.

"Just the facts mam, just the facts"
"My mind is like concrete, all mixed up and solidly set."
Just some old sayings that came to mind.
Another one that I remember often is, "No matter how much a man believes a thing in his heart, it does not make it true."

We have two- and one-half conservative school board members with the courage to speak up. But we need more.
Change the method, change the results. We need management that can set priorities and much-needed goals. Paying for billboards and ads in the local paper is like announcing everyone has a nose. Duh. Every effort and money should be put into improving basic education and discipline. The question Cheeseman should be answering is why homeschooling is outgrowing public schools nationwide. The simple answer is management.

I hope that more people will take Prendiegirl's advice and attend the school board meetings. You can watch the Chairman hang on to the arm of the Superintendent for what to say next. He still has not learned that the Superintendent works for the school board and the people and not the other way around. Oh, parents, they don't know how to raise children. The school will take care of that. Just drop them off and let them babysit until they can get home and the TV and cell phones take over the job.

Washington and Beaufort County now stand at the brink of the best opportunity to progress and grow that it has had in a long while if poor leadership does not kill it. The development of the Airport is bigger than many realize. We now have 25 boatbuilders in a 35-mile radius of Washington. The opportunity for residential growth is huge if promoted and handled well. This is a time for leadership that understands city planning and future vision. Leading in this climate means having a basic understanding of business and management. We do not have that now and we can help this by electing Bobby Roberson as our mayor.

How are rules and regulations set for the Register of Deeds office in North Carolina? Are there State Statutes that regulate the preservation of documents? With constant hacking and now AI coming on, how could anyone expect to completely trust that electronic documents could not be changed? It is good that public records may be retrieved without going to the Court House, but they should be backed up by hard copies that bear signatures.

Then they came for me
And there was no one left

Now that Big Bob is into numbers. Let's look at a few near and dear to us.

East Carolina University 71% White

NC State University is 63.2% White

University of NC is 57.1% White

Hills Dale College is 66.7% White.

Sorry, Bob. You are drinking the cool aid again. Hillsdale has fewer whites than your next-door neighbors in Greenville.

Are we to understand that the Board refuses to even consider having a representative from Hilldale College present their social studies program to replace what was previously selected as Savvas with the Rainbow flag? I was told the Savvas program costs about 400 thousand dollars and the Hillsdale program is free. Until we elected the last three new board members the group was merrily going along with teaching CRT. They finally adopted a watered-down version of resistance. Correct me if I am wrong.

BUSINESS AS USUAL! Why do you think we can't get rid of COM? What about Tort Reform? Eliminate these two problems and NC would not be rated among the Worst Medical States. We would also have General practitioners. If you do not think we need them, just try and find a new one. Big money comes from the medical community and the insurance industry. Gambling is a big business if you are on the receiving end. It is easy to find big money to back it. Oh, I forgot. We have the best politician's money can buy.
