Of the two foreign leaders who have commented on Trump's action, both have supported it, both presidents being from recipient countries. One is black and the other Hispanic. Bigot Bob's constant delusion is whining about his "white power" fantasy. Bigot Bob is delusional.

Correction, once upon a time USAID HAD a good track record, until its deep state staff went woke and went rogue, stonewalling Congress on what they were doing. Biden's USAID gave over a billion dollars to our sworn enemies the Taliban. That is just unacceptable.
Finding the waste and grift requires letting the IA system have access to the records. The far left that wants to keep wasting tax money on nonsense is fearmongering over access to records because they want to keep wasteful spending going.

I suspect that if more national leaders were asked about it, like this president was, the media would find a lot more support. Our embassies have been complaining that much of the stuff theat USAID has been funding lately has been upsetting host governments.

Europe's farmers have aptly described the green agenda as "climate communism". As I recall, the "green" party block in the EU parliament was the biggest loser of seats in the last European election. That former president of the Caech republic was spot on when he called climate alarmism "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today." Any party working to run these thugs out of office is to be congratulated.

When Biden left, the economy was drowning in debt with a massive budget deficit as well as a huge trade deficite. OUr national debt doubled under Biden and as a percent of GNP it was getting to be borderline unsustainable. Employment numbers were cooked and they constantly had to be revised downward by a lot at a later point. New jobs were mostly part time or for illegal aliens, and among American citizens the percentage in the workforce declined. Indlation skyrocketed. No, the economy was most definitely NOT in good shape. Another four years of that and we would resemble what Germany went through in 1923.

USAID in more recent years has a history of attacking western culture and promoting the woke ideology and the globalist ideology. That is not what it was intended to do, or what it did most of its existance. If you look at what they are spending money on now it is mostly wasteful and unnecessary and needs to be eliminated.

OUr country has a crushing level of debt that doubled under Biden and threatens our economy. We simply have to get spending under control. DOGE under Musk is a great effort to identify wasteful and unnecessary spending so we can eliminate it to get our national budget in order.
Wikipedia, however, is not a federal government operation so it is not part of what DOGE is looking at. It is very clearly biased and should be avoided if people want accurate information.

Building that mega-school is not about what's best for education in Beaufort County. I tis about what looks best for Cheeseman's resume for when he tries to move up to a higher paying job at a bigger school system. Cheeseman was not about to do any professional studies that would send the money elsewhere in the system, nor was he going to allow input from the peasants (public) that might also derail his resume enhancement. He did not even bring legal counsel into the process, which led to that fiasco about the 4 acres. It was ALL about Cheeseman and his resume, not about edcuation in our county.
Unfortunately, Cheeseman has had a pack of rubber stamps in the majority on the school board who just sat back and said "yes, boss". On top of that was the corrupt arrangement of two school board members with husbands on the county commission. It was a confict of interest and completely unethical for them to vote on any of these matters.

USAID was interfering in domestic American politics, not only by funding the leftwing "Politico" but also funding US-based censorship groups that were targeting conservative news outlets. Not only does USAID need to be shut down but those who ran it need to be ptrsecuted for their diversion of taxpayer funds to domestic political purposes. They need to be in prison. www.thegatewaypundit.com

Commented on Beaufort County School Board, Pomp and CeremonyLittle Bobbie still does not get it. This plan was concocted in the back room by Cheeseman and his cronies, and designed more to benefit his resume than benefit the students of Beaufort County. Other school board members were largely kept in the dark as was the public. There were no public hearings or public participation in what was needed. Cheeseman and his cronies not only cut other school board members out of the process, but also excluded the public. This was government in the backroom at its worst. And operating this way they screwed up royally on that 4 acre tract.
To fix that blunder, they did another rotten backroom deal that ripped off county taxpayers for a half million dollars. There was more backroom politics by another power clique on the county commission that excluded those not in the clique from participation. Instead of trading land the county had no use for at the old P.S. Jones School, which would have cost the county nothing, they threw away a quarter million of county taxpayer money and a quarter million of tax money controlled by the school board. One wonders what the hidden agenda of the shawdowy power cliques were on that one. It clearly bodes ill for the taxpayers. Our Beaufort County deep state is as devious and sinister as the one at the national level, and it depends on weak elected officials who allow themselves to be manipulated by bureaucrats.

Commented on Beaufort County School Board, Pomp and CeremonyLittle Bobbie does not get it. The waste of half a million dollars of taxpayer money on this 4 acre boondoggle should be a HUGE concern to all taxpayers and voters. That is real money in a counry our size.
In government, the best pay for elected officials to collborate is to openly discuss issues among themselves. That does not happen on either the school board or county commision because of little power cliques which want to control things and not let any elected official outside of their clique have any meaningful input. Both power cliques are heavily influenced if not outright controlled by bureaucrats, the school superintendant and county manager. Those bureaucrats are supposed to carry out policy, not make it. We seem to have our own little mini "deep state" right here in Beaufort County.

Commented on Beaufort County School Board, Pomp and CeremonyIt is patently obvious that our school system is not well run. An overbearing superintendant seems to be part of the problem, but so are those members of the school board who fail to do their jobs to stay on top of things. It would seem like they also need to find an attorney closer to home. Taxpayers got soaked by their incompetence on this school construction boondoggle.

Expecting a liberal education bureaucrat to understand business world concepts is like expecting a chimpanzee to know how to use a computer. Why do they keep giving this boob raise after raise and automatically extending his contract? It seems to me the money he has cost our taxpayers should be DEDUCTED from his pay and the sooner they can get him out of his contract the better.

This whole thing stinks about those four acres. Why was the school superintendant so incompetent to not know they did not own that track? Where in the world was their out of town attorney in all of this? In a multi-million dollar project like this, the attorney should have been riding herd on all of this, but since he was half way across the state, it appears he was NOT. Why was a professional appraisal not done? That school superintendant seems to think he is all-knowing but he has no training or experience in appraising commercial real estate. His just pulling a number out of the air based on how much money they had available to pay was as unprofessional as hell.

The Los Angeles fire chief a few months ago told the mayor that they had only half the resources they needed to respond to a serious wildfire. Instead of bolstering those resources Mayor Karen Bass wrote a memo calling for a further $49 Million cut in the fire department budget on top of the $17.6 million she had already cut. Anyone who tries to defend that is plain bonkers. That would be Bonkers Bob.
The fire chief may be a DEI hire, but she still has more sense than the dumb-as-a-brick mayor.

Great editorial and spot on! The WSJ points out that the Democrat politicians are trying to deflect from their own piss-poor management and governance when they try to blame "climate change".
These weather conditions have existed forever. The Santa Ana winds existed when the Spanish colonists arrived in California in the 1500s and local Indians knew of them long before that. They are NOT 'climate change". The Spanish colonists gave them that name centuries ago. Ditto the El Nino / La Nina cycle that also played a big part in the weather conditions that caused the wildfires. "Climate change" is nothing but a pile stinky pile of political BS.

Stan - Any federal funds channeled through any government unit in California must be very tightly restricted so it is not wasted by these morons. Once Trump gets some solid leadership at FEMA, maybe that is the way to route the money, but certainly not with the clowns running FEMA now. For example, they need more fire stations and trucks. Money can be specifically allocated to those purposes. There should be requirements that all wasteful and unnecessary local spending, like DEI, be eliminated. If there is local money thrown away on unnecessary crap, why should federal taxpayers pay for anything? Rebuilding money ought to be conditioned on removal of the burdensome regulations. If federal taxpayers are helping foot the bill, they should not be paying for unnecessary state or local government red tape and bureaucratic delays.
Thankfully, Speaker Johnson has already stated that restrictions need to be put on any federal assistance to prevent local waste, which the California dingbats are notorious for.
