This is just another example of how Phil Berger is in the hip pocket of Red China and doing their dirty work to destroy American business and open the door for Chinese competitors. By destroying our seafood industry, he helps China's dominance with its farm raised seafood, which is often of questionable quality.

"China Phil" did the same thing with the NC Green New Deal, HB951, where he is pushing types of energy heavily dominated by Red China - wind and solar - and trying to destroy American energy like coal and gas.

Phil Berger is an enemy and a traitor to America.

Our nation was founded because the people were tired of being overtaxed. The series of taxes that led to the Revolution were adopted by the British parliament, but since George III was the face of the British government, he was the target of people's anger. He certainly did not object to those taxes, so that was justified.

The Democrats of today tax us more than the British parliament did in those days, so it is the Democrats who are the modern tax tyrants.

Commented on Washington Dreaming

The British Conservative Party under small "c" conservative Margaret Thatcher introduced a program for occupants of "council houses" (social housing) to purchase the properties at a reduced price. That program was regarded as successful.

Taxpayers need a change from the tax-and-spend regime now running Washington. Heck, one of their councilmen actually lives in Aurora, not at the address on his voter registration. Another is functionally illiterate. The entire council are pathetic yes-men to Mauor Donald Sadler.

Tillis is worthless. He has been in the pocket of the wind / solar grifters since he was in the NC House, a special interest asset. He does not represent the people of North Carolina. He is also looking out for his own pocketbook because he owns a good bit of stock in a small bank in Mecklenburg County that specializes in lending to the wind and solar boondogglers.

Don Brown for US Senate in GOP primary 2026. He's one of us.

When will the Supreme Court crack down on these partisan, out of control, power grabbing Democrat judges?

There is probably a lot of this to be found in Biden grant making operations. Other agencies ripe for this would be EPA and Department of Energy, but really all through the corrupt Biden regime. The more than are found and prosecuted the better. While USAID is probably the most corrupt, it is not alons.

Reports also say the shooter Boelter also ran an NGO called Red Lion that worked in the Congo, but ran out of money a few months ago. That smells like a USAID contractor, but if the USAID closure was his beef, this is a strange choice of targets. Maybe it was some kind of strange "false flag" operation. Gaza, USAID, "No Kings" give this a very left wing flavor but something seems to be missing here.

Good for the Polish court! Those EU climate alarmist laws give expensive and unreliable electricity. They were responsible for the recent nationwide blackouts in Spain and Portugal, as well as huge electric rate increases all over Europe. What North Carolina should be concerned about is that the actions of RINOs Phil Berger and Tim Moore in passing NC's own Green New Deal, HB951, North Carolinians will be popped harder for this nonsense than Europeans.

Electric cars can also catch fire when their battery bursts into flame in your driveway or garage and burn your house down. It is great that Trump is taking away the subsidies for them even if that gets Musk's panties in a twist.

Google is a woke company and is anti-American. It has been helping the Red Chinese with AI which has military applications. Conservatives should avoid them like the plague. Its censorship regime is really obnoxious against conservatives. NEVER GOOGLE.

Cheeseman got the gold mine. The parents, taxpayers, and students got the shaft. Cheeseman's gold mine is another resume entry on consolidation for his next job in a bigger, better paying school system. Everybody else gets a more screwed up school system., but the shaft is a particularly deep one for the people of Aurora and Richland Township.

Beaufort County is in the middle of an education boondoggle of school consolidations which will cost out taxpayers money while harming education in our county. I wish more school board members would come out from under Cheeseman's spell. They represent the taxpayers and parents, not the superintendent.
Commented: Monday, June 2nd, 2025 @ 4:51 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
This looks like more resume building by Cheeseman for his next job, but this group clearly has no clue about anything. They don't even know that Beaufort County is in Northeastern North Carolina. They think we are in southeastern NC. They clearly also know nothing about Cheeseman. So Cheeseman got some of his buddies to write nice and untrue things about him and send it to this clueless group who clearly flunked geography among other things. Now he gets something else to put on his resume.

VZ: The lack of legal counsel by the school board at public hearings is bad enough, but ever worse is the apparent lack of legal counsel in their multi-million dollar school construction project in Washington. If legal counsel had been involved they would not have had that half million dollar blunder on not owning 4 acres of the school site.

Now, they are dealing with a construction company with a long history of cost overruns and do not have legal counsel involved in their meetings with them. I dread to think how much that might eventually cost us. Heck, they even leave the one local county commissioner with engineering and contract experience on major projects, Hood Richardson out of the loop. Instead, they send in Frankie Waters, whose business experience consists of running Tri-County Telephone during the time it was run into the ground and had to be sold off. This is not going to end well for taxpayers.

They had Cheesburger play real estate appraiser on their "fix" on the 4 acre fiasco. Is he playing lawyer, too? He is not qualified for either.

You hit the nail on the head, Buzz. There has been no proper long range planning by the School Board or by the superintendent. It is all thrown together at the last minute. Heck, there has not even been proper short range planning. Look at Cheeseman's failure to discover that they did not own 4 acres of where they wanted to put the new mega elementary in Washington and had to scramble at the last minute, costing taxpayers half a million dollars. It is like we have the Three Stooges running things in the county schools.

And Frankie Waters in the mix? The same Frankie Waters who bankrupted Tri County Telephone during the years he ran that so its carcass had to be sold to an out of county company. THAT Frankie Waters? taxpayers are in real trouble.

Pushing the Green New Deal is what we would expect from Bernie Sanders or AOC. Tillis is way to the left of the NC mainstream. But sometime back I saw a Congressional rating that actually had Tillis as more to the left than Sanders, based on their Senate voting records. Tillis is too liberal for North Carolina and needs to get his waling papers in the 2026 primary. He has worn out his welcome with NC Republican voters.

The video shows that Babbitt was executed in cold blood by a deranged capitol cop who took stead aim to shoot to kill. What is a real travesty is that he was not prosecuted for that or even lose his job. Chauvin is sitting in jail for the death of George Floyd who probably died of a drug overdose and in any event was not intentionally killed, yet this officer is not even prosecuted and kept his job for a very deliberate killing. It is what you call a two tier system of justice.

Killing off Snowden is not about money. That is a false flag raised by Cheeseman, whose ludicrous numbers on that score are very seriously flawed. Of course, Cheeseman's blunders with the Washington mega elementary school show that he has absolutely no management or financial competence in the first place. It is all about the leftist education establishment's agenda to kill off community and neighborhood schools. By centralizing education, they can control it and push it in the woke directions they want. Anyone who votes for school consolidation is either a flaming liberal or dumb as a brick.

Climate alarmists are always full of hot air. Of the dozens of scare stories they have told that have already passed the time they were supposed to come true, not a one of them has or even come vaguely close. They are liars that are often personally profiting off of their narrative. Michael Mann certainly has. They don't want their gravy train to dry up.

Thom Tillis has a big investment in a small bank in Mecklenburg County that specializes in loans to the wind and solar industries. Tillis' is screwing his own constituents to protect his own personal pocketbook. That is simply corrupt. We need TIllis to be G-O-N-E.

Whatley, like Tillis would be certain to be a tax and spend Republican. Indeed, with his background as a paid mouthpiece for special interests, Whatley may even be worse.

Tillis' key assistance to Biden's big spending spree should never be forgotten or forgiven. Along with other Biden Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Tillis voted to let Biden's big spending fake "Infrastructure" bill pass through the normal process. That was bad enough in and of itself, but it set up something even worse. It preserved the "reconciliation" slot that year for Biden to pass the outrageous Green New Deal disguised as the "inflation Reduction Act."

Tillis has disqualified himself from consideration by fiscal conservatives because of his fingerprints all over Biden's big spending spree. Whatley would probably be even worse. Surely the NCGOP has somebody we can rally around and get excited about for 2026, but this badly flawed pair are NOT it.

This Don Brown, however, sounds interesting. I would like to learn more about him.

There is a lot bloat in government bureaucracy at all levels. Community schools and neighborhood schools are NOT bloat. They offer superior education, especially in the lower grades.

Cheeseman reminds me of Bernie Madoff with his shell game of phony "savings" while ignoring new costs his scheme creates, like the cost of lots more busing. For example, Cheeseman claims the cost of childrens' meals at Snowden as a savings. Does he not plan to feed them at Chocowinity? Most of "Bernie" Cheeseman's "savings" fall into that category. Cheeseman is a flim-flam artist. Call the bunko squad.

Japan's central bank has been playing with fire longer than The Fed and yesterday things took a really bad turn for them economically as a result of their high government and central bank debt. They started many of the techniques The Fed in using here but have been doing them longer. Now it is about to blow up their economy with a debt problem far worse than Greece had. We need to learn from their mistakes.

We have too many benchwarmers on the school board who don't do their homework and just take whatever sleazy Cheeseman tells them as true. What Cheeseman claims on "saving money" by closing Snowden is absolutely ludicrous. It is typical of the absolute flim-flam that comes from Cheeseman.

Wind and solar also produce electricity that is much more expensive than conventional electricity. It is also highly unreliable and prone to blackouts. Ask the people of Spain and Portugal that had the most recent nationwide blackout caused by "green" energy a couple of weeks ago.
Commented: Sunday, May 18th, 2025 @ 12:45 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
So, was the blackout in Spain and Portugal, which was caused by solar panels, a trial run by the Red Chinese on what they could do to our system? Solar and wind are a threat to our energy supply in a whole host of ways. In North Carolina, the Democrats like Josh Stein and Roy Cooper are all for it, as are RINOs like PHil Berger.
Commented: Thursday, May 15th, 2025 @ 2:29 pm By: Concerned Taxpayer
That bill falls way short on the spending cuts America needs if we are going to save the dollar. It also fails to end the tax on social security benefits, which is highly unfair double taxation. What I hear on the radio is that the problem is the congressional leadership. This is a huge blunder if they fail to take this opportunity for needed budget cuts.

Similarly, the recision bill to cut federal programs already approved seems to be stuck in Congress. We should not tolerate these leadership failures.

Our own NC seafood industry in threatened by these awful offshore wind turbines thankts to NC Democrats who are pushing them like Roy Cooper and Josh Stein, and to useless RINOs like Phil Berger who do their bidding. Our "woke" utility monopoly Duke Energy is also to blame to pushing this garbage.

Tillis needs to go. Brown sounds like he would make a much better senator, but can he raise the money to defeat Tillis? I hope so. Tillis will be flush with special interest money since he is a special interest poodle in the senate.

DOGE has found a whole lot of graft and corruption. Tillis wants to help the Deep State and Democrats cover it up. We badly need a strong primary candidate against Tillis in 2026. Tillis is playing footsie with the Democrats instead of standing with North Carolina Republicans.
