Is GOP intruding into local or state and national primaries?
Are they recruiting and supporting newly switched Democrats and opportunist RINOs to run against conservative incumbents and principled new candidates?
Are they running Decoy Candidates so as to manipulate elections and place their puppets?
Is Vice Chairman Wayne King the acting henchman? And for whom?

(commented on June 18th, 2012 @ 11:47 am)In this picture Dan Gerlach is fourth from right who was Gov Easley's Finance Director and was then appointed President of the Golden Leaf Foundation. Golden Leaf funds came from the NC Tobacco Settlement which “shall promote the social welfare and lessen the burdens of government [by using its funds] to provide economic impact assistance to economically affected or tobacco-dependent regions of North Carolina in accordance with the Consent Decree [between the state of North Carolina and cigarette manufacturers].”
Guess what? NOT It's simply a political slush fund and another vote buying tool. Don Carrington of the Carolina Journal has several reports available. The latest:
. Wonder if fmr Rep Arthur Williams is aware of that?
(commented on May 18th, 2012 @ 9:19 pm)Dority, you and NCGOP played us Repub types for fools - and successfully too. I hope you're happy with your decision and that whatever you were promised makes you happy.
Who would have ever thought you'd be a candidate decoy for not only State Auditor but for Secretary of State too? Who, would have ever thought you would betray and cheat on us? Have you become so in need of what they can give -- so desperately in need?
From henceforth please consider yourself a newly made and not so honorable member of the Rancid Republican Ranks.
Please say hello to Wayne King, Shu, Stew and Rosser for us. Heck, maybe Bill Tarpening and Ashley Woolard will let you join them in supporting Arthur Williams and further corrupting what was once the party of principle and Laissez Fair representation. But then maybe that deal is already done.

(commented on July 31st, 2026 @ 11:01 am)Rino Hunter, you are spot on correct about McConnell and Graham. In fact, Lindsey is one of the most prolific traitors in my lifetime. Besides all that you pointed out, war-hawk Graham was the driving force behind the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, which codified into law all the unconstitutional measures adopted by Presidents Bush and Obama, which were outside the constraints of the Constitution, and outside the Geneva Conventions, and the internationally recognized laws of war.
That single bill authorized violating no fewer than 14 provisions of the Constitution, including over half of the Bill of Rights. It designated anybody, American citizen or not, as an enemy combatant, declared the whole world as the "battlefield," including the homeland.
The rights protected under the Constitution apply to all people under the umbrella protection of the Bill of Rights. The word "citizen" doesn't appear in the Bill of Rights. It simply refers to "person" or "persons," acknowledging the humanity required to recognize that unalienable, God-given Rights apply to all people, not just citizens.
Lindsey Graham didn't care about that. He famously said on the floor of the Senate, "...and when they say I want my lawyer, you tell them to shut up, you don't get a lawyer, you're an enemy combatant."
For years, that audio clip was the ringtone I set on my phone for my general counsel, as a constant reminder of what traitors are doing under the guise of national security. It's as if the Framers had never warned us about giving up a little liberty for security. He lied and twisted Supreme Court rulings to fit his narrative that they could do whatever it took under the color of law to have their way.
A Democrat President signed it into law, but RINO Republicans put it on his desk. I did NOT lower my flag in his honor. He had none. He was a traitor, plain and simple. I'm glad he's no longer a threat. I don't care who it offends. He was the domestic enemy within that Cicero warned us about over 2,000 years ago.
(commented on July 31st, 2026 @ 10:32 am)Death or rage. That describes what liars and thieves might encounter messing with Stan. In all seriousness, this cancer has long since metastasized into a life and death struggle for the soul of the party.
My political mentors and sponsors encouraged me to attend the 2008 RNC National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul. I ended up at a campground in a large adult staff cabin in which several conservative delegates were staying. Rep. Ron Paul was a rising star. I had worked with him on issues in Congress, found he had the best constitutional voting record in Congress, and supported his candidacy.
Boy, were my eyes opened. On a daily basis I heard stories about RINO double-dealing, backstabbing shenanigans.Ron Paul was receiving death threats, some of which I'm sure came from the RINO crowd. He had his own security, but on the day he was supposed to speak, they would not allow his security detail to enter the convention hall. Petty BS seemed to be the order of the day, every day. Petty RINO BS.
By 2012, several GOP state chairs lobbied me and my general counsel to come to the convention in Tampa, to advise them on constitutional and parliamentary procedure issues at the convention. We went. It was the most depressing political event I've ever attended. Everything I'd been told was wrong with the Dems was on full display. My staff and I were in a funk for a month afterwards, as if there had been a death in the family. What we saw and experienced disgusted us all.
After swearing off such, that I would never go back, I got sucked into going to Cleveland for the 2016 convention. Same dog and pony. Different city. It cemented why you guys had launched the Beaufort Observer, to provide truth and accuracy to counter the Washington Daily leftist dribble from across the aisle, and the Conservative Republican Club to counter the RINO dribble coming from within your own party. When I wasn't traveling around the country, or to Capitol Hill, and found myself a local group of wonderful people to work with on the issues conservatives actually care about: with you guys.
There were times I brought information to you that contradicted what you'd been told by prominent national groups that you should be able to trust, but that were actually part of the RINO control network.
I saw the cognitive dissonance on your faces as you tried to reconcile what you thought you knew with what I had shared. I brought receipts. You licked your wounds, and accepted the truth. That was all my mission was about, restoring constitutional governance, and you can't get that or keep that without knowing the truth.
Read between the lines. The truth has always, and always will set us free, with God's Grace to recognize it. We have a duty of allegiance and protection the Founders spoke prominently about. Initially, those terms were included in all the state constitutions, including North Carolina's original state constitution.
It was the violation of that mutual duty that was the foundation of the Declaration of Independence that provided the righteous indignation necessary for the world to know who the good guys were, who to support. They clarified at the end the DOI how important it was, by pledging their lives, their fortunes, and most importantly, their sacred honor.
Nothing has changed in 250 years in that regard, which is why Washington's Farewell Address is as relevant today as when it was written, and why the work of the Conservative Republican Club over the past 20 years, and hopefully the next 20 is so important.
As Jefferson said, "eternal vigilance" is the price of freedom. Vain and aspiring men (and women) will forever attempt to hijack and undermine righteous patriots to seize or maintain control.
Jefferson also said, "When you find yourself at the end of your rope, tie a knot in it, and hang on." Thanks for hanging on. God Bless America and those that defend Her.
(commented on July 30th, 2026 @ 3:21 pm)It's nice that Rep. Murphy is attempting to cut medical costs. It would be nice if would also keep his word. In February, 2025, I met with Rep.Murphy at his New Bern district office to discuss reintroducing legislation that Walter Jones had introduced in six Congresses, to require the FBI track and report criminal alien crimes.
You can read the most recent introduced version of "Jamiel's Law", named after a murder victim here:
Rep. Murphy said, and I quote, "It would be my honor to reintroduce the bill." In May, 2025, I, along with Jamiel Shaw, Sr, the victim's father, approved the final draft.
That was 14 months ago. It never took Walter more than a month to get a bill introduced. Since then, emails go unanswered, visits to his New Bern district office requesting a phone call or update have gone unanswered.
All the bill requires is for "nationality" and "legal status" be added to the Uniform Crime Reports already required for all federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
Why Rep. Murphy has not kept his word, and is avoiding me defies logic. At this point, he has wasted 1.5 years, which could have been spent courting other sponsors. If the name Jamiel Shaw sounds familiar, Trump carried Mr. Shaw on his 2016 campaign trail, even giving him a speaking spot at the national convention. Murphy agreed now was the best time to give this bill a real chance of becoming law. The President knows the family personally. Crickets...
Your word is your bond. It's the only thing that can't be taken from you. I gave the Jamiel Shaw Family my word that I would never stop trying to get this bill passed, which were it law already, could have saved Laken Riley, and hundreds of other families from having their child executed in the street by an MS-13 gang banger illegal alien, who had been released from L.A. County Jail on a gun charge, and assaulting an officer.
When queried by a researcher trying to find real numbers on illegal alien crime, he eventually found it would be the FBI's responsibility. In 2007, they responded via email that the reason they don't is because, "Congress hasn't told us to." They were right.
The Uniform Crime Report (UCR) doesn't require "nationality" or "legal status" on the monthly reports to the FBI on felony criminal arrests. "Jamiel's Law" would fix that, and would withhold federal funds to any law enforcement agency that refuses to work with DHS/ICE to establish "nationality" and "legal status."
Congressman Murphy was in total agreement with me, gave his word, invoking his "honor." I believed him then. I don't now. If you know him, ask him why I've become persona non-grata, ask him why he hasn't kept his word. Ask him to give me a call. He has my number.
I can forgive and forget. I believe in redemption. After this Congress ends, he will no longer by Congressman because of redistricting. If you'll be in the 3rd District, you might consider someone whose word means something. - Jeff Lewis, National Director, Patriot Coalition.

(commented on May 9th, 2012 @ 7:53 pm)Civility is big with me. Bigger than many other differences.
Politics is only nasty when nasty people are involved.
(commented on April 27th, 2012 @ 6:47 am)And for the record, I oppose Agenda 21 and any efforts by anyone anywhere at the sacrifice of our individual sovereignty and the honest social contract we make with specific levels of our federalized government.
(commented on April 27th, 2012 @ 6:43 am)Mr Cayton, et al,
Challenging a principle or an action on its merits should always be within the realm of fair play.
But placing blame for a firing circle when my candidacy and my person has been under attack since day three (many, many unfounded attacks, some withdrawn from the internet and some not. At one point 50% of my opponents website was dedicated to me, including a whole page because I was "whining" about her attacking me after we agreed to run a clean race) and then suddenly when my campaign responds, there is a response from you?
Where were you two months ago? You certainly weren't chastising your candidate for her personal negative (and mostly false) attacks.
You also seem to notice when one candidate was picked by a faction in Raleigh, but not your own candidate by another faction in Raleigh despite that she admitted that she was selected on tape in your forum.
You want to put forth a legislative candidate who's best trick is just attacking and sidelining other members of the party?
When Pat McCrory wins, when I win, when half a dozen other Republican candidates win that have been polarized by her campaign (and her choosing folks who she herself called RINOs only a year ago over other local candidates)... how is she going to come back from that? She cannot then support me, or Pat McCrory, or any of the half dozen others she has been sidelining because she has been tearing us down during the primary?
Before we started this race we agreed that we would run our own clean races and then whoever would win, would then support the other in the general elections. Be honest. That cannot happen any longer after months of attacks.
By all means, please criticize the application of conservative principles. Everyone certainly should do that. But this hypocrisy of trying to lay blame on others for this rift has got to stop.
This rift was started by one person and one campaign and it most certainly was not mine or the people who realized towards the end of the primary campaign that I was the strongest Constitutional Conservative candidate and then in turn backed me.
You cannot turn back time unfortunately. Perhaps Raleigh should have made a better "selection".

(commented on January 12th, 2015 @ 2:55 pm)This move was a surprise to me as Tine's opponent in 2012 and 2014. I am very interested in this change because if Tine had run as a Unaffiliated (as he claims is more closely aligned with his beliefs) I would be the District's current House Representative. And the NC Republican House Caucus would have had an actual Republican in it's ranks rather than making room for a liberal Unaffiliated who will just muddy the waters.
My supporters and I worked hard and lost against a super well-funded Democrat and voters cast ballots for someone who wasn't really what he said he was. Politics aren't fair. It's hard to make this look like anything but an opportunity for Tine to use donors and use the political system to gain power for himself. Hopefully, this will somehow bode well for District 6 in the end.
Although Tine didn't beat the Democrat drum as much as I've heard other politicians during the campaigns, I found his ideas leaned far left: the answers to our problems are more government involvement.
Politically, he made a smart move as someone who wants to be a mover and shaker, which he clearly does. Getting into the Republican Caucus won't hurt him though I fail to see how it helps the Republicans who don't need his vote and will find he doesn't help bolster conservative ideas of less government involvement in our daily lives. Look at this voting record in the past. Civitas gave him an "F" rating for good reason.
In making this announcement Tine claimed he wasn't free to vote as he chose as a Democrat. That's quite a condemning statement on Democrats. Maybe his most significant contribution to his home District might have been to remain a Democrat so he could reform it from the inside allowing politicians to vote their conscience rather than follow lock-step in line with the party.
He voted against keeping Sharia Law out of NC courtrooms. His position on Common Core has him aligned with the NC Department of Instruction rather than with parents. He can’t run from the $2000 he gave from his personal resources to elect 0bama.
I imagine the NC and outside NC Dems that gave him thousands and thousands of dollars to beat me twice are not happy right now.
Bottom line: I'm glad he did it and am not disappointed he didn't switch to Republican because he kept some credibility.
It will be interesting to see what legislation he sponsors and who the "Dare Care" Dems will find to run against him in 2016. Becoming unaffiliated makes him more beatable by a hard-hitting Republican candidate regardless of which race he tackles next.
Keep on eye on his voting record. Talk is cheap. Action is what matters.
(commented on April 30th, 2012 @ 10:09 pm)Let's get a Republican to run in November as a write-in for Attorney General against Cooper - how about a huge grassroots campaign for a powerful GOP lawyer nominee patriot who loves freedom - someone like the incomparable Justice Rusty Duke.
(commented on April 28th, 2012 @ 2:24 pm)Again one of my opponents has chosen to whine about "he said/she said...," "she did it first..." and other such trivial matters. I will not respond point by point to such childishness.
There are too many more important issues to be talking about in this campaign, such as how to turn the economy around in our state, how the state can prevent further damage to our nation by Barack Obama and especially how House District 6 can help complete the job begun by the Republican majority in the last session of the Legislature. Mr. Adams' continuing insistence on going off on tangents serves no useful purpose, either in finding solutions to the real problems facing our district or in helping voters determine who will best deal with those issues.
I regret that I initially fell for Mr. Adam's attempts to call attention to himself by such tactics as using quotes out of context and parsing words. I won’t participate in such childishness. If Mr. Adam's wants to dwell on trivial matters he is certainly free to do so. I'm going to focus on the important issues in this campaign.
Barack Obama and his arrogant czars and bureaucrats are ruining this country, from an insidious attempt to subjugate American sovereignty to the United Nations, all the way down to diving rules on our beaches, without our state officials standing up to him. That must stop. The Republican Legislature passed SB 2 to prevent the implementation of ObamaCare in this state. A Democrat governor vetoed it. We must elect a Republican governor and enough conservative Republicans to override any veto if need be. And the way we do that is to focus on the issues that are important not to politicians, but to the people of Eastern North Carolina. Our people do not care who decided first to run in this election or what conversations were held between potential candidates. Nonsense! That kind of nonsense is exactly why so many people are disgusted with politicians and government today. Let’s find ways to get the People's job done. I call upon Mr. Adams and all candidates to join me in focusing on what we need to do to turn this state around and restore constitutional government in North Carolina and in Washington, D.C. In November let’s send Mr. Obama into retirement.
