Iowa eliminates most DEI from its state universities | Eastern NC Now

North Carolina is still badly lwrapped up in DEI

ENCNow

Another state has junked the "woke" leftwing dogma of DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) from its universities.  This time it is Iowa, where the state legislature directed the university Board of Regents to investigate its system and eliminate DEI.  They have now completed that investigation and lowered the boom on DEI.

What about North Carolina?  DEI is rampant in our state universities, and our wimpy legislature and university trustees look the other way while this far left indoctrination is allowed to continue.  This crap even gets into our local schools like in the math curriculum, Bridges, just adopted by the county school board.

You are right.
We have had creeping socialism for a while and our local school board has had a hard time recognizing it. 70% of our students are not at grade level for reading and Math in Beaufort County. Eight of our schools were rated a (D) by the DOE. A (D) is now 40 by the current grading system. The math course, Bridges, has DEI built in as part of that course. Why is that part of a math course? The Current school board almost bought SAVVAS for $450,000.00 for our Social Studies program. SAVVAS had dominant features of the Rain-Bow Flag. The current board refuses to look at the Hillsdale Social Studies program, which is free. The State DOE Does not set the curriculum. The local School Board Does. Why are we in this mess? Parents need to get involved to find out. The first place to look is LEADERSHIP.
