Cheeseman leaving for Craven County? | Eastern NC Now

creating vacancy here if true

ENCNow

Credible sources say that Beaufort County School Superintendent Matthew Cheeseman will be moving to take a similar position in Craven County.  That will allow the present Beaufort County Board of Education to hire a new superintendent.

Craven County removed their previous superintendent with a buyout of the remainder of her contract.  It is not certain when the change will occur but it may be over the summer.

I pray that the school board doesn't hire someone worse that Cheeseman.

Yeah, well ... I hope the elected officials in Craven County have enough sense to not take Superintendent Cheeseman's advice by NOT choosing a title search, when it comes to using certain plots of land when building mega structures, for mega millions of the Public's money, all for "The Children."

Well, well, well, according to WITN Cheeseman is indeed going to Craven County. He will begin Feb 1, but Beaufort County Board of Education will select an interim Superintendent Wednesday night. His salary will be $235,000.
Craven County said Cheeseman was chosen because of his skillset which includes experience in budgets! ;-)

Craven County is going to end up regretting not talking to folks here about this guy. I guess he saw the writing on the wall with the now booted city manager.
